Bendo is crazy durable. Not just unexpectedly taking this ninja kick flush, but in general. He’s only been knocked out twice in something like 40ish bouts.
The WEC was so good. I think it was Wednesday or Thursday nights. So many good fights. I thought it was weird how dominant Miguel Torres was and it never translated to the UFC.
I've been watching and training in bjj and MMA for some yrs now, and Anthony Pettis was one of my favorite fighters. I've been watching him before he signed with the UFC and way before he signed with WEC,and was with the Gladiator fighter series. He has some serious skills. His brother Sergio Pettis is just as good. The Pettis bros were like the Diaz bros before there were the Diaz bros...l.o.l Anthony Pettis was an exciting, unpredictable fighter. As lightweight, he captured the lightweight title in both WEC and the UFC. His fight with another one of my favorites, Tony Ferguson, is my all-time favorite of his. It was a complete blood bath... They kept fighting while bleeding all over each other.. amazing fight.. i remember one of the ring side speakers saying he could smell the blood due to being so much and being close to it... awesome....👍
Wasn't this WEC, they had some the best lighter weight fights ever. Brian bowling, Urijah Faber breaking BOTH hands in a fight and finishing the 3rd round using only elbows. Now thats memorable
Pettis and Henderson is one of those weird rivalries that feels like one guy was created in lab to beat the fuck of the other one. There are other examples like that like Alex and Izzy, Volk and Holloway, Cody and Cruz. But i feel this one stands out more.
I've often wondered when somebody is outright rocked and in serious trouble, to the point that they are just grabbing onto something for dear life that is considered defending themself. I've also often considered how much money herb has bet on fighters such as henderson.
How was their so much power behind that??!! Surely you're losing all the genetic energy when your pushing off the fence and kicking from a short distance with the same foot you pushed off with. That kick broke physics.....
Bro fighting like he's Anthony Pettis or somethin😏😂
Nuh uh
Or sum
Wait it is Anthony lettuce you sure you didn’t have a slight mishap…🤔
Prove it
😂😂😂
This is the most famous clip of a highlight KO that didn't even result in a KO lol
Definitely was a tko bud
@joshbearden1636 it was a decision lol he got back up
@@joshbearden1636do you see how they kept fighting, bud?
Even if only for a split second, that dude went to bed. 😅
RIP Stephan Bonner doing the announcing.
RIP Stephan Bonner the legend
Rip Bonnar
He was a good commentator! I love the color commentary
WEC was so good. One of the best fighting organizations
First time seeing this clip, been a big ufc fan for about 5-7 years. They should show this more often god damn

Classic! Will never forget that kick!👍🏽
Honestly was a huge Henderson fan at the time and that kick killed me haha
That blue octagon looks so comfy I would love to take a nap on it lol
That was the WEC promotion. The lighter weights classes 135 + 145 + 155 that the UFC eventually united with the UFC.
Sign the waiver, im sure any fighter would put you to sleep on it
@@dancepro67 okay that is just rude

What an odd thing to say
Pettis it was beautiful
La vi en vivo y directo ; cosas que no se olvidan masss!!!
Streets won't forget Showtime pettis
Forever going to be the coolest kick in mma
Greatest knockdown in combat sports history…🔥
Will forever remember this knock out
Showtime 💪🏾✊🏽
wasnt a ko try watching the fight
1 word. Iconic. 😮
Jon Jones last Back kick KO is up there.
Anderson Silvas front kick to the face.
So many memories 😎
Jon jones back kick was alright. It was just a normal spinning back kick
That kick elevated Pettis career... Timeless classic moment...
Bendo is crazy durable. Not just unexpectedly taking this ninja kick flush, but in general. He’s only been knocked out twice in something like 40ish bouts.
Both Pettis and Benson were monsters in their prime! Both HOF worthy.
A underrated rivalry
The WEC was so good. I think it was Wednesday or Thursday nights. So many good fights. I thought it was weird how dominant Miguel Torres was and it never translated to the UFC.
Man I miss those days .
I sure miss watching Benson fight 👊🏼
Prime Pettis Wa something else

Benson was such a humble cool guy
Remember watching this in a BWW with my brother in law. The whole place erupted! Definitely one of the most electric moments!
Toooooo cooooooool 🆒🆒🆒🥶🥶🥶🥶. That kick gave me goosebumps and it's not even my first time seeing it
Channel surfing through direct tv late night and I stumbled upon dudes fighting in a blue cage. Got to see this and Cruz jorgensen that night
Literally that exact same me and my dad!!
Dude has some of the most craziest knock outs
Wasn't this WEC, they had some the best lighter weight fights ever. Brian bowling, Urijah Faber breaking BOTH hands in a fight and finishing the 3rd round using only elbows. Now thats memorable
Yeap .... thats a Gold!! The most iconiqui kick of mma
The greatest highlight KO on film
“Show time kick” never forget
Benson Henderson was a pretty cool guy though.
Wtf? Who doesn't remember that kick!!! How Pettis became the "SHOWTIME"
Till this day, when you bring up Pettis' name, this comes into mind.
the pressure on the referee man 😂
Pettis lacked that killer instinct
“Who remembers this kick” buddy you say the name Anthony and suddenly I’m daydreaming the showtime kick
Imagine he would bring this show kick in every fight 😮
He did a showtime knee against cowboy cerrone in 2013 as well
Pettis and Henderson is one of those weird rivalries that feels like one guy was created in lab to beat the fuck of the other one. There are other examples like that like Alex and Izzy, Volk and Holloway, Cody and Cruz. But i feel this one stands out more.
after all these years i still cannot believe that landed
I remember where I was and who I was with when this happened.
I remember this day we'll. After this kick ninja were popping up in gyms wanting to face mma fighters.
Connor mcgregor at home “you little belator tick you’ll do nothing!”
It’s been 14 years since this kick.
It was really a "SHOWTIME"
He swallowed the toothpick with that kick
Well definitely not that guy
Rumour has it that Hendo is still a little wobbly from that kick...
Such a beautiful moment
I've often wondered when somebody is outright rocked and in serious trouble, to the point that they are just grabbing onto something for dear life that is considered defending themself. I've also often considered how much money herb has bet on fighters such as henderson.
Bro pulled a Hawk from Cobra Kai
Goddamn I feel so bad for the recipient of the kick, that was brutal
Hello sir another casual, that recipient is a legend of light heavyweight and a former ufc champ, I'll never tell you his name tho.
@yummguy I didn’t ask.
Dang that one took care of business
I’ll never forget the beating Benson Henderson put on Nate Diaz, it’s the only one Nate never denied getting whooped in.
STOCKTON SLAP
I'm pretty sure Nate denies all of his losses still
Epic Call by The American Psycho RIP
Daaaaamn! He ate that kick like a sandwich!
This UFC channel saw another channel gaining traction, making money off this exact same short recently and was like, oh hell nah. And here we are
When he was actually showtime pettis he wasnt too bad
This was the baddest kick in the world😂
That is my ringtone 🙌🏾
This is art
The Showtime kick
WEC was a great company...
Right the showtime kick
Wtf is the ref doing bro that guy is dying in front of us😭
Pettis was special
That wasn’t the UFC that was I forget the name Cowboys Cerrone was there Dominic Cruz ArAyA favor Anthony Pettis Joseph Benavides Benson Henderson
That shit ended ben Hendersons career
Fixed , he signaled him to throw the kick with the foot tap against the fence
Bro hasn’t done anything since 😂
I remember this, as much as I remember how dana dislike pettis
Jake Paul vs that guy with the super kick
SHOWTIME
Average Pettis move
Ben is like chandler, more of a pure athlete, not a true martial artist by spirit
Maybe the coolest move in the UFC or MMA in general ever!! 🎉❤😮
Coolest move really
Notice no one else ever did it
When you are faced with disqualification word gets around that's why you don't see it
WEC
Crazy kick
Hell yeah, I was front row!
Шоу тайм,и бенсон хендерсон😮😮😮
Ben cry after this
Love that, not easy to pull that off
Bro thinks he is Anthony Pettis
You know the toothpick was fine though
I’m use this in UFC5
Feel like it was planned. He stopped signalled and even tapped his foot on the wall to get ready for it
What a kick
Herb ,if he dies he dies, Dean
nothing in this whole fight was worthy of a stoppage mate
For some reason i don't remember it not being a K.O? I'm sure the dude died from that kick 🤔.. maybe it was dying from embarrassment.
It was staged. Look at him tap the fence like they do in WWE/WWF
Damn he beat the shit outta brian battle
How was their so much power behind that??!!
Surely you're losing all the genetic energy when your pushing off the fence and kicking from a short distance with the same foot you pushed off with.
That kick broke physics.....
Everyone!
Where is Pettis at tho? Did he retire?
OLD UFC?
Showtime kick!
Thought you can't use the fence
