At one of the garage sales we bought some purses among other things and some of them were full of CASH! We were in SHOCK! Has this ever happened to you! Check out everything we got today!

I once sold very expensive jewelry up to 150,000 piece. I arrived at a yard sale and found a jewelry box for 50 cents. I opened up and there was 4 rings inside. A ruby ring with approx 4 ct ruby and diamonds, engagement ring yellow diamond about a 6 ct diamond, and to 2 sapphire rings with diamonds. All about $28,000. Did tell her… of course. I was glad I found for her and gladly told her about it. When I meet Jesus in my heart I want to know I did what was right.

That was definitely the right thing to do! My sister bought a leather purse at a Jumble Sale and inside was £1,200 she handed it in and found out it was someone’s savings for their son’s school football holiday touring Europe. The Son came round on his bike that evening to thank my sister which made her day too.
I accidentally didn’t pay for a $40 item at the fabric store the other day. It dawned on me when I got home that the cashier had missed it. I went back the next day to pay for it, they were very appreciative. Not looking for praise, it’s always the right thing to do!
I did the same with some grapes at Walmart, years ago. Now, if you miss something, I think some, accidentally on purpose, you’re arrested! Always use cashier!

I do the same. I accidently walked out of Old Navy once with sandals. They were in my arms with a few other items. As soon as I noticed I ran back in and apologized. They were so kind. I don't need bad karma.

Why I just mind my business and never remember anything I see or hear.
I was yard sale shopping with my mom when I was a teen, I found 20 bucks in a book I bought for a buck… I instantly turned around and gave the seller back the money I found… I didn’t even think twice. It’s the right thing to do.

I bought a stand up jewelry box for $10 to resale. They had cleaned out all the drawers but missed the top flip up lid. Inside was stuffed with the seller's deceased mom's beautiful old gold rings and chains. They were shocked when I showed them what was there and were happy to be able to recover them.

That was a ton of purses pretty cheap, I would definitely say great buy’s and flips! I was so happy you gave that $100.00 back to that sweet lady. You are both so honest and sweet to do that! I bought a purse at a garage/home sale. Got to my car n opened it. It had 2 bags of gold pieces. Pan mined no doubt. I immediately returned the gold. Pure 24 KT. Probably worth a few grand. The ex was freaking out that I returned it to the young lady. Don't even think she thanked me. But it was the right thing to do.

you are good honest people . Not many would return it. I would it is the honest way I was raised. About a month after we moved to Nevada I was going to a doctor app. and stopped at a gas station . I found a womans wallet in the bathroom. It had thousands of dollars in it an american express and many others. I turned it in. A month later I stopped there and asked the manager if they came back and he said about an hour later and elderly man walked in as white as a ghost and said my wife left her wallet in the bathroom and it had our life savings in it. He was amazed everything was there. More people should be honest . what goes around comes around that night I won 500 dollars at the casino before dinner. You will get repaid for your honesty!

I'm glad to hear that you gave the cash back. I would do that, too. However, I once found a coin collection for the quarters of the US. There was a note in there from Grandma and Grandpa for their beloved grandkids. The ungrateful little darlings didn't give a hoot about a gift lovingly chosen and packed by their grandparents, and were selling it for 25 cents. I got it home and found that Grandma and Grandpa had filled it with all of the quarters already! The kids hadn't even opened their gift. As a grandparent that found a $50 doll castle (that took forever to find when my granddaughter begged for it for months) in their garage sale for 50 cents a couple of months after we gave it as a birthday gift, my mean little self wouldn't allow me to return the US quarters set. I felt terrible for the unappreciated grandparents, but not an ounce of sympathy for the kids.

Not only did you make her day, you brought tears to our eyes too. That happened to us once, years ago. We bought some books from a lady and when we got home we saw that there were various bills tucked in throughout the book. Old money - like old dates, 1950s etc. We also brought it back to her. There was no way we could keep it. We are glad to see others like that! Hope to run into you one day - we're going to check out the Crystal River area one weekend and make a yard-sale weekend out of it.

When garage sellers say ”I'm gonna look it up" it's an immediate pass for me because I can't flip it on eBay if he's asking for what it's going for ON EBAY 😐
I once helped a lady set up an eBay account to sell something because she had it at a yard sale for waaaay cheaper than she could get online. Really pissed off the man who was waiting to flip it. I apologized and told him what days Good Will gets unsold and returned video games from Game Stop. He wasn't mad at me anymore. 🤣

I was a Gymboree collector for my sons. Those were from the 90's . I still kept our blankets but like new. Eventhough they are worn, the fabric can be repurposed...The fire truck one is from the line "To the Rescue" We have that line. My favorite has cows & called "Down on the Farm".
One of my friends decided to do a yard sale and went through her adult son's closet, choosing an old jacket that he didn't wear anymore. The son was a business owner. She sold the jacket for a few dollars. Unfortunately not only was lack of communication apparently a familial trait but she never checked the pockets. He had stashed $4,000 in them.. The buyer never returned. This is a true story, and I could only think the cash was in very large bills- but still, how could she not notice?

Unfortunately I didn’t look before I left and it was a neighborhood sale and I couldn’t remember where I got it. Sort of hard to return if you can’t remember. Went to Mexico with a friend, she pulled out a purse for our shopping trip. She had inherited it from a friend who was recently deceased. Found a $100 bill, we went and bought ourselves some dresses. She said it was her friend telling us to enjoy the day.

I once bought a beautiful purse at a yard sale that had a rip in the lining. Easy fix. When I took out the lining, a beautiful black hills gold wedding ring came out. I took it back to the house where we bought it the day after I found it. The lady cried. She had lost her wedding ring years ago! The neatest part, she took off the replacement ring, put her original ring back on and said, "It still fits!" Lol My husband and I got to hear all about how her husband had proposed. How her sister and best friend had helped him pick out the ring and kept it a secret. It was so neat to spend time with her. It's still one of my favorite purses too. 🤣

Last year I bought a pretty glass paperweight at a yard sale from a couple who were also collecting money for the husband's cancer treatments. I gave them $5 for a $3 sale. After I got home and researched the paperweight, I found out it was worth about $350!! I went back and told them I would sell it and give them the money. It took me a few months, but managed to get $260 for them after ebay fees. I made a couple of sweet friends in the process!! ❤

at second 0:44 there was a Roseville Donatello bowl worth $40-$80 depending on size and condition. Good pattern to look out for. Early 1900s. Also the blue opalescent glass piece for $8 was a fabulous find as well. Can't remember the maker/pattern but might be Jefferson, Northwood, or Fostoria... would have to see it up close. But easily $40+
