Ohioan here live in the OH Valley and green hills of small villages. Been to Maine for Summer vacations and love your area. Been all around up there and on up to Moose Head. Just too beautiful for words. This was a great video! Thank you.
My wife's Pumpkin Gobs are the best, yes we are originally from Johnstown Pennsylvania (thats why hers are gobs) but now live in Barrington NH. Ask anyone at Sig Sauer Rochester! When i walk in with my sig cooler bag they go nuts. They all know not to call it a whoopie pie or they dont get one lol I hope to catch the whoopie pie festival next year missed it and didnt even know you guys had one.
Went to the Springfield fair last Sept, cute little fair! We're moving up in the next month or so, havent had a chance to check out any other fair and this one will be close to our home! Cant wait till next year!
Maine has the best festivals & fairs. Found out that the gob variety is made at a factory in Johnstown Pa, my mom’s hometown. Looking forward to future fun videos! Thanks for bringing us along Peter!😊
@@petercarson7277The food, the animal exhibits, the country atmosphere, last year the Charlotte's Web play, but the best is all the former students that I see there and am able to hug! ❤
Ì hate to tell you this but you never zoomed in on a whoopee pie or described its texture or is it stuffed with something? Cute name but you did this video assuming everyone already knew what a woopie pie was. A marshmallow covered with cake ? Anyway, thanks for broaching the subject of Maines famous sweet treat although still a total mystery to me.
Hi Jeanne. The scene with the small Christmas tree shows what they look like. The original and still my fav is two pieces of chocolate cake, big cookie size with vanilla cream sandwiched between the two.

Our pleasure!
How lovely! I will definitely visit Maine if I get to come back and visit the USA.
Please do!
I haven't been for a few years but I always love the Fryeburg Fair
Thanks for sharing.

Nice! Wish we were there! 😊

Hope to meet you at the Common Ground Fair. Bean hole beans, vegetable competition, sheep dog demo, apple tasting, so much more…
When and where is this festival?
@@chris4370 The Common Ground Country Fair will be held at MOFGA’s Common Ground Education Center in Unity, Maine on September 22, 23 and 24, 2023
@@urwhatueat2170 awesome thank you!
I will plan on it and will be wearing my red, white and blue hat!
Missed it this year, it was a lot of fun last year

My town!
You live in a great place.
I love your property’s for sale but this video is tops.
Thank you!
Been looking for a place to move soon. Maine is a possibility. Just need a shortline railroad to work at and I'm there.

From Fairfield CA can't wait to move to Maine.
Thanks for the visit.
Chocolate/peanut butter is by far the most delicious Whoopie Pie!
Thanks for sharing. Chocolate peanut butter is a second place finish for me.
Gotta go with the traditional
Thanks for sharing.
Fun times. Just wish we could of heard the interviews. Microphones were not strong enough over the background noise. 🙂
Sorry for that.
Whoopie Pie Festival-sponsored by Lipitor.
@guyinpajamapants6892 We think you mixed up your sponsors. Lipitor sponsors the national bacon festival. Metformin does the Whoopie Pie Festival.
Great video. How far is this from Lagrange?
Maybe 25 minutes
Blue Hill Fair is the best!
What do you like best about the blue hill fayuh?

Woopie pies 😛
👍
Don't forget the red hotdog festival in Dexter
👍
Thank you for a great video, but everyone knows that the best whoopee pies come from Pennsylvania. Just sayin.
Sounds like it is time for a competition. Me vs Pa
Oh please!!!😂😂😂
@@petercarson7277 thankyou for making me laugh today.
Glad we made you laugh. Need more of that to go around along with some genuine Maine Whoopie pies, not the imposter pies from PA. 😂😂😂
