Dear lord. I had been acquainted with this portion of 40k History but this was like a full documentary like you were there, watching the virus bombing unfold. You've taken me on a visual journey. I put this on to sleep, but after 10 minutes, I realized I was just listening and not trying to sleep.

In many ways, I believe that if there was a parallel to the Pillar of Autumn from Halo within 40k, the sole contenders of such a tragic honor are the Eisenstein and the Survivors of Cadia’s Fall.
I think the whole flight of the Eisenstein thing has been around since rogue trader/epic. Its been a while though, so don't quote me on that. So, while I don't think its inspired by Halo, I still think its a incredibly neat comparison of the two events as Halo (Reach was my shit back in the day!)/40k fan and the tragic events that transpired with those two vessels.

Both are veritable Arks Carrying Persons whose survival will determine the fate of their respective versions of Human interstellar civilization. its is a complete shock that the Horus Heresy even in its infancy faced some of the greatest challenges of its entire history. the Flight of the Eisenstien giving the Preatorian time, the Actions of the now Renamed Luna Wolves, War Hounds, Dusk Raiders and the Loyalist Third ensuring pain blood and time even after being subjected to exterminatus requiring the intervention of two of the three present primarchs to overcome and it still taking weeks. Istvaan III is seen in much the same light as Isstvaan V as an great Imperial defeat but i consider it pivitol to and even if horus attained a phyrric victory in that the loyalists were eventually wiped out he quiet possibly lost the entire Civil war in the first battle.
I love this channel, I'm on his Patreon, so this is a serious question: does anyone prefer these combined videos as opposed to just a play list? I like the little asides as he is getting ready to log off, and I don't mind the intro and outro music. I also feel like these must take away at least a little bit of time he could be using for his next project. Now, if people don't agree with me, I'll shut up. I want him to get the most views possible, and if the multi-hour compilation videos are drawing in more people, that's great. But let's have a discussion. What do you think?

This is a grand work of lore-reading - worthy of being sold in hardcopy if compiled with a few more equal to it, for which I shall now search in the annals of your channel.
If only the Loyalist ships in orbit made the decision to Warp jump to Terra instead of looking for vengeance... Magnus wouldn't have damaged the Webway with his warning as the warning would have been delivered well before, the Heresy would have been acted upon earlier, Ferrus Manus may have survived as he wouldn't have blindly went to Istvaan IV if go there at all, the Traitor Primarchs may have been captured or killed instead of escaping into the Eye, the Emperor may have survived it all and the Imperium might not be the despotic realm that it is now
Just processing the idea was nearly traumatizing. Your lord and father a being of such majesty whom you would have followed into the depths of hell .Ordering you to ur death without a tear or regret. If you survived the bombardment he would order your gene brothers down to the surface men you have fought along side for centuries whom you have bled and bonded with. In a previous campaign you may have saved his life or vice versa and now they come into your sights still wearing the same colored armor as ur own but instead of a joyful reunion they will kill you without hesitation. In that scenario I would have preferred to be a world eater I would already hate Angron and now have no obligation to loyalty. Nails or no I would gladly butcher those honorless dogs he commands in the name of the emperor with pride and a clear conscience. If saw the slave lord or that disgrace to the brotherhood Kharn I would try and a few nicks in perhaps a wound or scar that would never truly heal show them that this war hound still has teeth.
Animals are most dangerous when backed into a corner. And they'd learn that lesson again and again, so long as this War Hound had teeth to bear, and energy to spare.
Can someone explain me why Angron descended on the bombarded Isstvan? And why exactly did Captain Earlan (prob spelled wrong) fight him? I am new to the lore and have some struggles understanding that part, since it was first explained that Horus was shocked and feared his legions landing. But then why? If Angron sided with the traitors, why were they scared? I probably heard wrong and am confused, please don't brand me a heretic.
They were scared because they needed him as an ally and he did something so stupid and spiteful that it could have gotten him killed, plus horus wanteted to do a second bombardment.
would have been interesting if we had a book or something where some dudes decide to visit istvaan 3 and 5 , lets see what remains of these ancient battlefields

Great story, too. The loyalist World Eaters’ plight was tragic even for 40K, and that tale really humanized them for me.

eh it's mostly like a series of books and omnibus. it makes sense to first releasee book by book but then to compile them for easy reading

I personally prefer the longer videos (I like to lay down after work, take a hit of something nice, and imagine I'm right there with our Historitor)

As a Steve myself, I can say all Steve, Stevens, Estebans, Stephanos, Istvans and Stephens still feel the pain of our home world.
Just processing the idea was nearly traumatizing.
Your lord and father a being of such majesty whom you would have followed into the depths of hell .Ordering you to ur death without a tear or regret.
If you survived the bombardment he would order your gene brothers down to the surface men you have fought along side for centuries whom you have bled and bonded with. In a previous campaign you may have saved his life or vice versa and now they come into your sights still wearing the same colored armor as ur own but instead of a joyful reunion they will kill you without hesitation.
In that scenario I would have preferred to be a world eater I would already hate Angron and now have no obligation to loyalty. Nails or no I would gladly butcher those honorless dogs he commands in the name of the emperor with pride and a clear conscience.
If saw the slave lord or that disgrace to the brotherhood Kharn I would try and a few nicks in perhaps a wound or scar that would never truly heal show them that this war hound still has teeth.
Animals are most dangerous when backed into a corner. And they'd learn that lesson again and again, so long as this War Hound had teeth to bear, and energy to spare.

Can someone explain me why Angron descended on the bombarded Isstvan? And why exactly did Captain Earlan (prob spelled wrong) fight him? I am new to the lore and have some struggles understanding that part, since it was first explained that Horus was shocked and feared his legions landing. But then why? If Angron sided with the traitors, why were they scared? I probably heard wrong and am confused, please don't brand me a heretic.
They were scared because they needed him as an ally and he did something so stupid and spiteful that it could have gotten him killed, plus horus wanteted to do a second bombardment.
This content makes me sad, for the emperor….

Perty did better by killing almost all the Salamanders with a single nuclear strike from orbit.
