Thank you so much for this video !! I've had a bad relapse with my ED like 6 months ago and have been trying to keep in track with recovery again. It's a struggle to keep at peace with my body ,it's insane that just the fact my thighs are touching on top ,or that I get a bit bloated makes me so uncomfortable in my own body .I try to remind myself that it doesn't matter but I've constantly felt a sense of control and comfort in being the smallest that the weirdest smallest things trigger me . You've been my favourite youtuber ever since I was at my lowest of lows with my mental health and I can say you have saved me I many ways not just regarding body /food . You are funny, fun, kind and lovely .you and Mario are the type of people I would never get bored being around and you are so lucky to have each other !! I love how you talked about your performance decrease the days before your period! I always notice this too, the week before my period, but I used to not understand why this happened, and got really frustrated and hard on myself. But it's totally normal! I still go to the gym when that happens, but I can easily accept it now, when I notice I'm really not able to hit the same goals as usual. It's really interesting and one can learn a lot about oneself when paying attention to ones cycle!!

Thank you so much for making this video!! One thing I have always struggled with so much is accepting how much my body changes day to day, even before and after I workout. It’s always discouraging looking in the mirror in the morning on days when I’m more bloated and thinking that I’m going backwards in my progress instead of forwards. I think this video really helps me put into perspective how normal it is for my body to fluctuate, regardless of my diet/workouts and how unrealistic it is for me to expect my body to always look slim and lean like so many Instagram fitness models lead me to believe theirs always is

    Natacha,
I needed to see this so so badly. This is amazing, I’m a very type A individual, I love working out and feeling in control. I’ve only been able to control my working outs, I was training for a marathon scheduled for last weekend that went virtual because of the current issues. I did do my marathon the other day and got a PR(I actually qualified for Boston marathon, but I’m not sure virtual marathons count😒) i struggle with taking rest days, this was awesome for me to see and I took an active rest day today just doing yoga to rest from the marathon in the hopes I’ll get some more progress next race! I love your videos they are so encouraging!

This video is so interesting and helpful, somedays when I look at my body I feel like I’ve lost all of my progress and the next day I love what I see in the mirror, so seeing someone as athletic and lean as you going through daily changes is like a reminder that we all go through this, and it doesn’t mean that we’ve lost anything, it’s just our bodies being bodies. Thank you Natacha for this video and all for all the effort and hard work you put in your channel . Love and kisses all the way from Saudi Arabia 🇸🇦.

I noticed that most of my injuries happened in the few days before a period, I think it's an overlooked parameter that should be talked about more when it comes to programming for females.

This is awesome! Recently after a 14 mile run I was looking at the back of my legs and thinking "wow are my legs swollen or did I gain weight?" but nothing has changed in my eating, and I've been if anything more active since quarantine. I always thought of bloating as only in my stomach and maybe my fingers (i.e. rings fitting tighter), but it's so good to know that your whole body can swell because of stress put on it in training. I really needed this right now! It's hard to see my body changing right now and this really helped me. Natacha, I have looked up to you for years (before, during, and after an eating disorder...in running, in powerlifting etc.) and seeing you struggle with period bloating and weight fluctuation is really helpful for me. It made me realize how human we all are..and that it's okay to change a lil! Love ya!

The thing you said about decreased performance before going on your period, I can totally relate to thatttt! I always feel that and this month I've been doing a workout plan where I consistently do the same few workouts with a few variations and I actually couldn't complete the HIIT workout without numerous breaks before my period when I normally can get through the workout!

    THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!🤗💕
As someone who fluctuates a lot (and when I say a lot I mean A LOT), this gave me a new perspective on my own body, how it retains water during my cycle or after a really salty meal, and also seeing you normalizing the fact that I am not always going to wake up with a flat tummy every day is so awesome. We need more people like you. Bless your soul😊.

Thank you so much for sharing these kinds of videos, because I am always so desperate about being "bigger" although my routine hasn't changed and I always think there is something wrong with me.
But with you also charing those phases of life, shows me, that I shouldn't feel stressed about it, because at the end of the day, our body is ways smarter than we actually want to believe and stressing out about it, just messes with our mental state, so AGAIN THANK YOU SO MUCH 🥰🥰🥰

I can relate so much to this subject. When I started my weightloss journey (from 104kg (= 229 lbs) to 51kg (= 112 lbs) in the end) a few years ago, I didn't have a fitness routine whatsoever. I had goals, but not a lot of attitude nor the motivation to do any kind of training. A few years later: my body was a wobbly mess, a lot of excess skin and I started to do running and weightlifting. After six years after my "weightloss set point": still excess skin but a lot less than in the beginning, more muscle developement on calves, thighs, arms and shoulders. Our bodies change so much in a very small time frame (and due to a variety of reasons... When I have to work six or seven days in a row with less sleep and training I still feel very heavy and stressed and sleep deprived and can't even be bothered to do some stretching...)! I can still see the changes after I've had a (bigger) meal, when I'm on my period (with water retention) and after a longer run (like 15-19km) with swollen legs or even after a longer arm-training session (But in a good way, like: "Hell yes, give me more arms like the Williams sisters!"). Thank you for reminding me of a little thing: We're all human, we all change physically, we just have to stay strong mentally!

Hi Natacha, I've been following you for roughly a year now, and I just wanted to thank you for introducing to us the mentality of enjoying the process of doing sports - that is, doing sports because we feel good about it and actually want to do it rather than doing it for an ulterior purpose such as losing weight (although there's nothing wrong with it). I'm always motivated to do sports, but only because I wanted the appearance. So I could easily feel depressed about not making progress. But I now feel much happier and relaxed about my exercises because my goal has changed to athletic performance and building strength. I'm now excited about the idea of trying different new things, and I'm happy with every tiny progress that I've made along the way. And because of the variety of athletic workout that you introduced in your program, I've become stronger, more flexible, and more agile; it helps me so much in easing my way into Parkour (during this quarantine) without external aid. Thank you thank you thank you!!!
