To those of you who damn the father for singing to his baby girl; that song was all about her. This will be the highlight of the wedding and she will be the envy of all of her friends. That was amazing!
This is beautiful ! My husband sang a song to our daughter also on her wedding. She was supposed to sing as a response to her Dad's song but she got so emotional that she cried..., but it was one of the most touching moments of our lives. People were in tears.
I think through reading all these comments that the bride and groom have also commented and this is directed to them. Your entrance was phenomenal. I've always thought that the father walking the bride up the aisle was the father's moment. I used to sing in the church choir when I was a little girl and sang at tens of weddings, and looked at the faces of so many proud daddies as they walked their daughters up the aisle. I got married in secret with only two strangers as witnesses, and I wish so much that I'd had a proper wedding so my dad could have walked me up the aisle. I know it was a disappointment to him that he didn't get to give his only daughter away. And now he's gone and it's too late. She is blessed to have such a loving, thoughtful father and I'm sure she knows it.
I'm willing to bet that *every* day of her life to this point was HER day because of her father and her mother and she loves her Daddy and was very touched.
Congrats Danny and Katie. Not surprised by your Dads voice. Always sounded wonderful in Church growing up. Not many people would expect him to have the voice he has, especially for people who know him and got yelled at on football field growing up haha. Have not seen you guys since high school.
