In game,the skulk catalyst spreads When a mob or player dies,bc of his XP we can say the XP is like souls,the more souls or power of it,the more spread the skulk can get So yeah,basically the skulk is like what you say,take a soul,warden dies,revive with another soul,repeat.
The lore of my Warden is actually that each soul it takes it will spread it's mush, cuz (in game) the Warden drops the Sculk catalyst so I thought why not have it do the same but with it's corpse

Well the Warden is like a mold so you need to burn it to stop it for good like a 'certain' creature in a very old popular mod that none remembers anymore (mutant mobs)
This is actually a heavy but easy mob to deal with due to its size it lacks the ability to fit through doors however it’s sonic boom ability bypassed through walls so that would be your only issue.
Okay to clarify Warden 1 shot if u have prot 1 Diamond armour but 2 shot if u have Prot 2 DIAMOND Max Prot 4 Netherite can Tank up to only 3 - 4 shot The sonic boom also only does 3 heart on full prot 4 Netherite Still terrifying but Not impossible to Kill

Thus if you can time it correctly you can jump out of the way or just spam jump until he shoot’s it since after all the warden’s sonic boom isn’t that fast to the degree where you cant react. His speed doesn’t really matter since you can just get the high ground near a building and run back to fire arrows at him or hit from a distance However you need to be cautious when you do swing since his hit box can still sometimes reach you on rare occasions. So “Just Clarifying” it’s not that hard to beat the warden if you use ur head dingus.
