Have you had luck with Fruition Seeds? I'm in zone 3, and they really promote the fact that their seeds are regionally adapted to short growing seasons/cooler regions. I was actually planning to devote a considerable amount of my small growing space to trying to grow their Northern Hardy Peanuts just to see if they'd do well here. I think I may have come across them through one of your videos but I am not positive. P.S. I love what you're doing. We're currently in our "waiting room" until the farm dream comes to life, and it's been frustrating. Our back yard is thoroughly shade by neighbours trees, so with our short growing season we havent been able to grow much food. Watching your videos has inspired me, and next year I'm putting a garden out front to take advantage of the space we do have. Bless you!
Thanks so much! I was a bit worried that they might be the company you didn't have a great experience with. WHEW! I can still look forward to homemade peanut butter (fingers crossed, it still might be a stretch up here in Saskatchewan, but I like to experiment 😆)
So kind of you Jess! We love you loads and seriously can't believe where your channel is going. Wow. You are impressing and motivating to watch. Keep up the amazing work and let us know if there is anything we can ever help with.
Hi Jess, how wonderful of Baker Creek to send an actual employee to give you flowers instead of FTD. That story made me cry and I will be ordering from Baker Creek more often. I also get seeds from Victory Seeds. Their seeds are a little less expensive, however their shipping is higher (kind of evens out). But they are very concerned about saving family owned or lost heirloom seeds. I have had good experiences with their seeds.
Baker Creek (aka rareseeds.com): I remember when Jeremiah Gettle was just starting his seed company. He was always generous as a seed saver/sharer. The packaging used to be overstuffed little manilla envelopes, hand-labelled. It's been beautiful to watch the company and family grow. Their shipping this year 2021, is lightning speed! Also, if there's ever any error, they make good! So communicate, communicate, communicate if you have any questions or problems. Great company!
It is so very thoughtful of you to reproduce your previous video to ensure you are not recommending a company that you are not 100% comfortable with. In this day and age of paid advertisement, it is lovely to know that there are still folks who lean on the crutch of honesty. Thank you!
I live in Missouri. Several years back I was at a garage sale and a lady was giving away packs of seeds that she had never planted. They were several years old, but unopened. I picked up several packages of flower seeds thinking I'd try them and if nothing happened I hadn't lost anything. I planted them. The germination was better then anything I'd ever experienced with seeds and the flowers were spectacular. I live very close to their store so I buy there. Seriously Baker Creek is the absolute best. Love your channel!
We are from the PNW, Territorial Seed Co in Cottage Grove (where we lived) was a wonderful resource. Most of their seeds had close to 100 percent germination and continued to germinate years later.
@@carrienichols292 we lived in Cottage Grove, Oregon, I loved that seed company they specifically had seeds for that area that would most likely do well in Washigton too! I have ordered from One Green World and Raintree Nursery a little further north as well.
Thanks for doing this! I just love Migardener. Did you know he also has a charity that helps people who cannot afford seeds get seeds? As well as a way for people to donate good seeds they are not using for distribution to others. Plus, they are just so down to earth and lovely people. I'm also very impressed with Baker Creek. They have built a heck of a reputation and seem to have never outgrown genuine goodness with their successes.
Wow. Great overview of heirloom seed companies. I am so happy to see young folks and middle aged folks getting in to the Heirloom Seed business. 30 years ago I was concerned that all the seed genetics would be lost to the general population and be controlled by the big multi national seed companies. Very encouraging to see what is happening and you young lady are going to have a life that is above all you ask or think.
Oh I receive it!! Thank you thank you! It’s a shame how many genetics and cultivars have already been lost. I’m so thankful that people have stepped up and decided to preserve them!!
MIGardener for the win in my garden for germination, growth and productivity. Every single seed I've planted has germinated, which has not been my experience prior. Baker Creek is my 2nd choice. Great review Jess!
Thank you for the review, Jess! It's great to hear that you love the variety info on the inside of our packets! We are dedicated to educating and inspiring the gardener in everyone.
I only started gardening in March 2020 after retiring early due to COVID-19. It wasn’t until then that I started to search TH-cam videos about gardening and found you. I watch your videos on a daily basis and learn so much from you. I have recently ordered from Baker Creek and from Hudson Valley. I am extremely lucky that I live in the same hometown as Luke from MIgardener and am able to shop his store in person. Thank you for all of the helpful information, the smiles and giggles,
Picked up Botanical Interest Northern Lights Blend Zinnia packet from a local nursery back in April or May I think. Planted those zinnias in a whim, just bc I had already started so many others and they turned out to be the most gorgeous zinnias ever. Huge fluffy blooms that kept going all summer long. And I bought it just because the packet was gorgeous! Really recommend. Also glad you talked about seeds now. At the very beginning I thought that was the company you didn’t want to call out and was kind of sad about it but was relieved when you talked about them. I like them for the reasons you mentioned but also agree that their website is overwhelming. Nice thorough video. Can tell you put a lot of thought into it.
Thank you, thank you, thank you! As a young gardener (80), I've wasted time and money for the last 3 years with 50/50 garden success and then I started watching every episode you''ve produced. I am probably too late, but I'm crowning you The Real Garden Queen forever. I've been sticking to most of the ones you mentioned plus my local "for real" garden shop in Independence Kansas...TLC Landscaping and garden shop.
This was a great help. I found Botanical Interest last year at whole foods in LR. I was drawn to the beautiful packets and was suprised at the information inside the packet and the low price. I never had such quick germination as i have with there seeds. I actually had some seeds come up within 36 to 48 hours.
Since you are already growing Asian heirlooms like red noodle beans, maybe you have already been to kitazawaseed.com. If not, check out their selection of unusual heirloom Asian vegetables and herbs. The restaurants around here in the SF bay area rely on these seeds for authentic flavors they provide. I grow their shiso, kintsai, and bunching onions and have had great luck with them. I learned about them from my (late) next door neighbor, Mai Kitazawa Arbogast, one of the founder's daughters.
WOW!!! Baker Creek are some of my favorite people and that is a wonderful example of why. YES!!! Muddy hands on seed packs in the garden. I agree that they should all come in waterproof packaging! LOL
If you haven't ever grown lemon drop peppers before, let me caution you as to how prolific they are! I planted 2 plants. I have 2 pints of pepper powder; have given a ton of peppers away; made a couple of batches of jelly; froze a bunch; ate a bunch; plants are still loaded! Lol! I had no idea what I was getting into.
Upon your fine recommendation, I have this year twice purchased from Baker Creek Heirloom Seeds. First order was super quick and excellent seeds. Second order, recent (The end of August, 2020 to nearly October, 2020) was not quick. I had to contact them after a month and their answer was technical issues and order had been lost - they did do a very quick FED-EX delivery right after I e-mailed them and the seeds seem to be high quality as is usual. I believe it to be an anomaly. Thanks for all you do Jessica! I so enjoy your videos.
Yes, this does help. I've never gotten any seed catalogs before but I'm going to order some of the catalogs now. The seed catalogs to me are what the Christmas wish catalogs are to kids, lol. I'm excited and can't wait to see what all is inside of them. Thanks again for all of the great information!
Great video, thanks for the info. I buy all of my seeds from MIgardener, he is my go to for information and seeds. I am a beginner gardener. I first started planting spring of 2017 and this year is my first time planting in the fall. The fact that Luke offers such affordable seeds allows me to dip my toes in a lot of varieties without breaking the bank. When I first ordered from MIgardener in 2016, they had seed packs just like seeds now. I do get the Baker Creek seed catalog but have not ordered from them yet. It can be overwhelming as a beginner to decide not only what seeds to buy (because I want to try everything) but where to buy them from. So thanks again for sharing where you buy your seeds and your experience with them.
Still remember sending my Grannies cantaloupe seed to a teenager in Mo. Told him no name definitely no heirloom but open pollinated for 20 years. Pretty nice to see them grow and be what what I consider to be a founder in sharing old school methods with yuppies hippies and homesteaders..; )
I bought from Baker's Creek a few times and both times all my seeds germinated!! What a wonderful company to have someone drive that far to bring you flowers, yes I also recommend them, have a blessed day :)
thank you so much! i am watching your videos for the first time today and they are amazing! my family are in the process of shopping for a new home with the plan of having our own garden most of which will have to be raised beds about 3ft off the ground because my husband and i are disabled and can not work on the ground well. You have given me so many ideas that i can not wait to implement them. thank you
I decided last year to go with bakers creek because of all the great reviews...I spent at least 2-3 hundred dollars for all my seeds...even had two extra gardens ...huge ones!, for all the seeds I ordered. I'm sorry to say I have been very disappointed.
Over the weekend I watched your "must have" list of seeds for the garden, and we had many in common, well I had some first time tries in common with your must haves to be accurate! You had mentioned Holy Basil which sounded interesting, and as I was going to a Fiber Market at a big garden center that holds winter farmers' markets I kept it in mind. While there I did manage to find Holy Basil, and then I watched this video, and lo and behold those seeds came from Botanical Interests! I believe that particular garden center does keep all organic seeds and none from the commercial bad boys. I have been practicing gardening for several years and preparing to move to a larger property to garden on a grander scale, and truly homestead. Your gardens are an inspiration because even if I have more room I want to maximize the use of every inch...especially since I'm a little older than you and I'd rather reach up to harvest than bend down! Put you jam pack an impressive amount of produce into your space...thanks for sharing it!
I love Baker's Creek. My daughter turned me onto them. And hearing you say you use them as well has inspired me to start a seed collection of my own. I'm fully addicted to them now. I have found other companies through you now as well. Thank you for all you've shared. God Bless
Just found your channel a few weeks ago. I just love it. I've learned a lot and have become very excited. This is my families first year as becoming homesteaders so I visit your channel everyday.
Thanks Jess, I always think I'm going to shop around some then get on IMGardener and find most everything I'm looking for. And love his sales. Quick story. I only put out 3 different verity of tomatoes this last season. Black brandy wine, Cherokee purples and a friend gave me plant starts for Rutger. 4 people in the family ask my if I had planted any Romas. I told them all no and told them what I had. When my tomatoes set fruit I ended up with 3 plants that were Romas in the middle of my row of Black brandy wines lol. It is the only ones I got from MIGARDENER that had a few wrong seeds in them but I didn't even let them know because I though well God and Luke saved me from disappointing the family so im not complaining lol. And I had 100% germination, that's pretty dang good. Big hugs to you and the family.
I have really enjoyed my seeds from Migardner. All of the seeds I have used from them had fantastic germination rates, even onion seeds! I currently have some gorgeous purple carrots growing like mad, onions and garlic to overwinter, and I can't wait till spring.
I agree about big box stores. I went today to Home Depot to get Dr. Earth potting mix to grow my seedlings and my sunflower microgreens, and they stopped carrying it. All the mixes they had was by miracle grow and kellogs -both companies I despise. That was my last trip for soil there. I never bought seeds there anyway.
I love Baker Creek too! You inspired me to check them out and now I order from them every chance I get. On my most recent order, I added Cosmos, bright lights and an Indonesian variety. I read that they get to 6 feet tall. They are orange tones so I thought that they would look precious amongst the Sunflowers that I plan to plant in my garden next Spring! We can never have too much Cheer or Beauty in our gardens, right Jess ?!! Thanks for all your videos! You truly inspire!
Just wanted to say thanks for this video. It was very helpful in helping me determine where to order seeds for my gardening venture. I was so thrilled when I clicked on MI GARDENER in your links below. I got so very excited on the tomato varieties listed. Not only did I find an old favorite, Triple Crop, I also found some very interesting ones I want to try this next year that I have not heard of before. I enjoy your videos so much...don't ever stop! LOL I am learning so much and you cover such a wide range of topics and INSPIRE me to do so much more!
Thanks for the video. Something to mention is that its super important for organic gardeners to use organic seeds. Seeds plants are much more sprayed than food producing plants because they are in the ground much longer. That plus the fact that conventionally grown seed isnt always good at growing under organic methods, plus environmental impact makes it a priority to look for organic seed.
I'm so glad Baker Creek is standing by you in such a special way! Before I saw this I had ordered from them and commented on one of your vlogs that they should do something for you! I ordered $47 and got free shipping and two free packets. They should come in the mail this week. I haven't planted anything in the garden for many years...too many years! I'm excited to maybe even build some raised beds this year!
Completely agree with the Seeds of Change packets. I absolutely love them. I have had the issue of wet packet that I needed to put the seeds in something different.
Thanks for the info! I was looking for a gift for my Aunt's 70th birthday. The art packs from Hudson Valley are perfect, I think she will love them! :-) We picked out a nice selection of herbs, vegetables and flower seeds for her.
Jess the 2nd time around was even better, thank you. It is through you that I started ordering from Baker Creek and everything you say is true. I also have ordered from Botanical Interest and Seeds Of Change....happy with them all. God Bless. :-)
I gave this a thumbs up before i finished watching due to the fact you where being so open, and honest. Thankyou for all that you do. The information you give helps me out hugely in my planning. Along with a few other channels.
Yes, I have purchased Seeds of Choice from Home Depot. They are good seeds. I had them from years and they are still good and yes, love the Zip Lock top 😊 Thank you for this info. I will try Baker Creek seeds soon. I have a mini container garden, but I am about to turn my back yard into a garden. Will start small but, I am so excited to grow my own food in a larger scale. Still dreaming on having a farm, but learning lots of good things from your channel 🤗 Thank you for all you do to teach us about gardening, farming and life. God bless you
Jess, Irene here, what a wealth of knowledge !! Thank you for your info !!! I am about to get my very first decease resistant fruit trees. I'm tired of dealing with blithe, curculio bug, and borers in the bark of my fruit trees... If these work all, I'll let you know where I got them so you can plant them in your big garden from the start !!!!
The very first seed website that I ever found about was Botanical Interests and that was because I was really interested in the whole Save The Bees & Pollinators thing. But I started becoming more interested in growing my own food and the very first video I saw about where to get seeds is the first video you made about this topic and I think that was also when I subscribed to your channel. Since then, I have ordered from Baker Creek, SeedsNow, and Botanical Interests several times. They have been my 3 go to websites for buying seeds. Thanks for making an updated video and I am glad Botanical Interests and SeedsNow have continued to be on your list of where to get heirloom seeds. I will also check out the rest of the seed websites that you mentioned.
Thanks jess! This was fun because my list and yourS in sequence coordinate ! Planted my mini-greenhouses btw told everyone @my local box store that even looked my direction to get to your channel immediately if not sooner! You, Patrick , Kim, Siloe and Luke among others, need I say more? Thanks for continuing to motivate and inspire us all.
My seeds of change seeds have lasted for years! They were the first I ever purchased. I also love MIGardener and Baker Creek. I just ordered a couple of seeds from Seeds Now. I was nervous to purchase more because I wasn’t familiar with the company, so your review has me feeling better about my choice. I’ve also purchased from HeirloomSeeds.com and had great success with them. They are local to me (Pennsylvania). The only issue may be delayed shipping times because of high order numbers, but I’ve always gotten what I ordered and a free seed gift as well.
Thank you very much for sharing your information; I really appreciate it!!!! This video and several other of your videos has helped me a lot regarding where to find good quality products to start my own seed vault collection.
I have ordered from MIgardener for 2 years and will be ordering from him again this year!!! Love that he is in the same state as me! And love all the info he has on youtube!
You guys have so many options, youre so lucky. Im in Western Australia and our quarantine laws make is so difficult to get seeds, we have almost no heirloom retailers in the state and those that we do have charge an arm and a leg because, well, they can 😢
Can you do a video on how you decide what you are going to grow in the spring and how you organize it where you plan to put it and if you use like those gardening apps or organizers prior to setting out your garden??
Thanks, Jess. I will take your suggestion and order some catalogs .... I have been buying from Baker Creek for a couple of years now. I am really pleased with them. I love holding a paper catalog in my hands, especially at this time of year.
Thank you so much for everything that you share! I found out that I only live about 2 hours from baker creek and I am so excited. I watch everything that you post and I love ALL of the information.
Four months ago--before discovering your channel--I had never heard of any of these "purveyors of seed" ! Have ordered from 4 of them already (Seeds Now plus the first 3). I have also ordered from a number of others I found through Googling for a specific variety; some Etsy shops, including one in Ukraine. . ***Still to be determined*** is the germination rate since I have not planted the first seed yet--just getting ready to plant in spring!
I have really been loving your channel!!! Thank you so much for such a thorough review. Every piece of plastic you have ever touched still is on the planet and by the year 2050 there will be more particulate plastic in the ocean than sea life, so I find a company that sells seeds in a plastic container a huge minus. Still love your channel but had to add that as it is something that is important to me for the planet and future generations of humans that inherit it. Xoxo
Thanks for the infro on seeds, living in central Fl. I grow year round and the company I was using was killing me on shipping. We are building a new type raised bed using 18" plastic pipes 30 ' long. Already have the Mittleider Grow system going with standard beds. Thanks again Gerald & Karen Dobson
LOL @ trade winds fruit. Us here in Hawaii love all those rare fruits, so we're probably a big market for them. I know I order from them on the regular, as well as Baker Creek. One really good thing about Baker Creek though is that they actually CARE. We have an endemic poisonous plant here that can potentially cross with the tomatillos and they suggested I not save seed from the tomatillos for that reason. They are on point and awesome.
Hey Jess, thanks for the advice. 1st choice for me is MI Gardner simply because Luke is a small family business and I always try to support them before a larger company. Hello from Sydney Australia.
You just made my day, thanks so much for these reviews of seed company's and the quality of their seed. I'm in the process of picking out what im buying for spring now so this hits the spot. Love to the family and peace and hugs. Blessings ♡
Thanks for the update, I did order some Hudson Valley seeds as stocking stuffers after seeing them on your video at the Heirloom Food Expo. I have done business with most of the other companies on your list, with Baker Creek being my favorite too. Also love MI Gardener. I would recommend a few other seed sources to you: Seed Savers Exchange, Sow True Seeds, Annie's Heirloom Seeds....yes, I have a problem, lol.
Thank you so much for this video! Jess this reminds me - I wanted to tell you that I bought the book Grow for Flavor based on your recommendation and I could NOT put it down. I am absolutely entranced and now I have to order a bunch of the seeds & plants he recommends... lol. Thank you so much for turning me on to that book. This next year's seed order is gonna be hefty, I just know it.
I like to plant right before a rain, and a lot of times end up getting caught in the rain with my packs of seeds. The seed packets from Seeds of Change sound like they would be great. Like you, Baker Creek is my go to, though some times I do get frustrated with the lack of info on the packet, and wish they would have a way outside of reading the reviews to tell which items grow best in certain areas (i.e. Northern or Southern climates).
Hi Jess ~ Thank you so much for sharing this very helpful info with us all! Your videos are always top on our list and we love how you and your loving family share your adventures in homestead life, gardening and family! God bless you all
So I've been trying to figure out which bean/pea seeds to get because I'm not really a fan of eating either but I know they're good and important for me and my garden, I figured you would have some good ideas on some of your favorites, maybe some your kids like ;)
My Daughter and I are going to Baker Creek seeds in Mansfield Mo, in March of next year. I'm super excited to go!!! Def gonna check out your friends company MIGardener. 💚💚🌻🌻💚💚
AMAZING video! Thank you so much! I found you recently and I'm a new subscriber :-) I've been watching your videos on my lunch breaks at work. So excited to get the garden planted at our new house.
I actually ordered seeds from Bakers Creek, this fall. I was introduced to them at the Hannibal Homesteading conference this last August. Working on my greenhouse now, but will probably be to cold to start this fall. My first video on the green house will be coming soon.
Hi Jess! Thank you so much for all the information you have given on all of your videos. I have learned so much and tried many new things. You and your info videos is priceless. Again many thanks!
Hi Jess, I appreciate your honesty and all the great information. I just found your channel a few weeks ago and have enjoyed the videos. I live in Ga and have also bought seeds from Southern Exposure Seed Exchange who specialize in seeds for the southern gardener. Our weather conditions make it challenging to grow a lot of veggies. Anyway...thanks for the info.
I love Renee’s Garden too! They have wonderful products, great customer service, Renee is a real person and they donate seeds to charities, nonprofits & schools each year.
Just got my botanical interests seed catalog after requesting it at your suggestion. OMG I love this thing, it's so beautiful and there are great extra information sections in it, even a tear out sowing guide! What a great suggestion Jess!! I am in love, now to ordering ...
Thank you so much Jess! I’m giving seeds as gifts this year to my homesteading family and I took your advice last time & I love botanical interest for their packaging! I have become such a seed geek!
YES, MIGARDENER and Baker Creek! Love them! I am a beginner and even I couldn't screw their product up! ;) I agree on Baker Creek's catalog. It's so pretty I decoupaged the pages inside my bookshelf. Lol
Love Baker Creek! Will be ordering from MIgardner as well. I love my seed catalogs!!!!! I could get lost in them for hours, especially during the winter “wish list” months!!!!
Thank you for this video. You led us to Bakers Creek and we have been so pleased with the results. No more box store seeds for us. This winter we may try some of the other companies you suggested as well. We also signed up for the Baker Creek free seed catalog and cannot wait for it to arrive.
Migardener is my favorite...great seeds at a great value! I’ve found that they have much higher quantities too! Like 1000 lettuce seeds for $1 😍 Trifecta+ is also a great fertilizer very reasonably priced. I have spent a lot of money there in the last year and will be placing a big order after the fall launch 🌿🌿
I have grown mostly flowers on our property due to lack of sun. Sadly we lost most of our trees on our property due to the ash bore . So to take advantage of all this sunshine ….. My husband has built a nice amount of raised beds for me this fall and more to come in the spring. Can you recommend some tomato varieties to make sauce and juice ? I plan to preserve my harvest by freezing and dehydrating. I feel I don't have time to can. We live in Zone 4 so our growing season is a bit shorter. Love this video . Thank you Jess.... Blessings to you as well.
Thank you for the very detailed info! My husband and I have had gardens in the backyard since we were married 12 years ago. We're not able to do as much physically as we were but I love to grown tomatoes and the basics like bell peppers, leaf lettuce, radishes and okra. I really like growing heirloom tomatoes and look forward to trying a few different varieties next spring so thank you so much and God Bless!
Thank you for sharing this! MIgardener is usually my first choice. Great seeds at a great price. Love Baker Creek too. Now, I have more seed companies to check out. Is it possible to have too many seeds? I don't want to be a seed hoarder... 😂
@Mama T.....I'm not Jess but the short answer is "NO"! Properly stored Heirloom seeds will germinate for YEARS. Sure, germination rates do go down but I'm still getting great results from seeds purchased in 2011.
Bless you!
UGH! I hate that I forgot to include them. Yes iVe ordered from them once and liked what I got very much!
Thanks so much! I was a bit worried that they might be the company you didn't have a great experience with. WHEW! I can still look forward to homemade peanut butter (fingers crossed, it still might be a stretch up here in Saskatchewan, but I like to experiment 😆)
Sounds like a great experiment! And no, Fruition has been great! They share so much valuable information. I really wish I’d put them on here
They are here in New York- about an hour away from me. I've been meaning to physically go there. They do have a TH-cam Channel... also
Lol! I was just wondering the same thing. They were in a video before and I ordered some garlic seed from them. Whew!
So kind of you Jess! We love you loads and seriously can't believe where your channel is going. Wow. You are impressing and motivating to watch. Keep up the amazing work and let us know if there is anything we can ever help with.
I was newly subscribed to MIGardener, when I discovered Roots & Refuge. Really awesome enthusiasm from MIGardener.
In addition to the ones mention, we purchase from Great Lake Staples, Ohio Heirloom Seeds, Annie's Heirlooms
Baker Creek (aka rareseeds.com):
I remember when Jeremiah Gettle was just starting his seed company.
I love when seed catalogues come in the mail! It's like Christmas!
Omg same lol

Territorial is really good. Siskiyou Seeds are awesome too!
I’m from Washington. Territorial is a great seed company for our area.
@@SimpleLivingAlaska Thank you, appreciate the advice.
Having a very emotional day and so happy to have one of your sweet videos to take my mind off of it!
Oh, Jesse, I’m sorry for the passing of your mother in law. Sending Big hug to you💕
I knew you were going to say Baker Creek and MI Gardener. I have had good luck with both of them .
Wow. Great overview of heirloom seed companies. I am so happy to see young folks and middle aged folks getting in to the Heirloom Seed business. 30 years ago I was concerned that all the seed genetics would be lost to the general population and be controlled by the big multi national seed companies.
We love those Zinnias too, Amanda! Glad to hear you loved them.
Botanical Interests ❤️💕
Hi Jess! I’ve really been enjoying your videos! You inspire me! Tonight I saw your Google commercial! Your little guy is adorable! 💙
You have given me so many ideas that i can not wait to implement them. thank you
I Love Baker creek and MIgardener!
I will continue to support them. I’m super excited about MIgardener’s 2019 seed season launch.
I decided last year to go with bakers creek because of all the great reviews...I spent at least 2-3 hundred dollars for all my seeds...even had two extra gardens ...huge ones!, for all the seeds I ordered. I'm sorry to say I have been very disappointed.
Hey Jess! I’ve been watching all your videos and getting inspired. Tonight I saw your commercial! LOVED it! Your little guy is adorable!
I cannot agree more. Luke is a great guy. He'll be as big as Baker Creek some day if he chooses to be.
Just preordered your new book on Amazon Good luck cant wait to see it! Love your channel!!!
Thanks for the update, I was actually using your older video to plan where I would buy my seeds for my first spring garden next year.
I had them from years and they are still good and yes, love the Zip Lock top 😊
Thank you for this info. I will try Baker Creek seeds soon. I have a mini container garden, but I am about to turn my back yard into a garden. Will start small but, I am so excited to grow my own food in a larger scale. Still dreaming on having a farm, but learning lots of good things from your channel 🤗
Thank you for all you do to teach us about gardening, farming and life. God bless you
G Vas they are good sadly home depot is 3 hours away so I don't always buy from them unless I'm in area
Thank you! This has been so helpful, including your responses to comments. I learn so much from you!
KiraiBK, have you ordered from HeirloomSeeds recently ? Thanks !
Small local or at least personally-known businesses of people you know and trust is the quality road to take, all right!
Thank you so much for everything that you share! I found out that I only live about 2 hours from baker creek and I am so excited. I watch everything that you post and I love ALL of the information.
Four months ago--before discovering your channel--I had never heard of any of these "purveyors of seed" ! Have ordered from 4 of them already (Seeds Now plus the first 3). I have also ordered from a number of others I found through Googling for a specific variety;
some Etsy shops, including one in Ukraine.
Thank you for showing the seed companies, I was trying to find seeds for container gardening and the Botanical site had what I wanted.
Awesomeness! Just learned about Baker Creek and MI Gardener this year! Love botanical interests too! Thank you sharing all that great info! 🌱🐛🥒✨🐝🐞✌️
I really like Seed Savers Exchange for their rare heirlooms and the fact that they support the preservation of heirloom varieties.
My favorites are Baker's Creek and MIGardener.
Huge MI Gardener fan here!
Thanks for the tip on Trade Winds seeds. I managed to snag a few interesting varieties of seeds.
Thanks for reviewing Seeds now. Their website is honestly sketchy AF looking so it's good to know that they're actually good to order from!
This is fabulous. Thank you for providing this resource!
Thank you for your references. I was wondering if you could do a video of your top picks for flowers you like to plant in your vegetable garden.
Thank you, Jess, for an extremely helpful and just-the-right-amount of information video. Cheers, Ardith
Thanks for sharing. As always, Love your honesty and helpful tips🤗
Thank you for sharing this! MIgardener is usually my first choice. Great seeds at a great price. Love Baker Creek too. Now, I have more seed companies to check out. Is it possible to have too many seeds? I don't want to be a seed hoarder... 😂
Hahahaha I’m the WRONG person to ask on that one
@Mama T.....I'm not Jess but the short answer is "NO"! Properly stored Heirloom seeds will germinate for YEARS. Sure, germination rates do go down but I'm still getting great results from seeds purchased in 2011.
@@singleman1986 Thanks!
