WHo else is here because of Understand UPSC
last question is a bit confusing can anyone explain?
Take simple examples....
Take 1 to 100..(here finding the 100 is going to be ur target )
The question given was
Q: 1,2,3,4,...x 192digits are there, find the last number.
• U know 1 to 99 has 189 digits
Now subtract 192-189 = 3 digits left
U know after 99 each number has 3 digits, now divide the answer (3/3= 1 no)
99 no + 1 no = 100
I've tried wid my understanding pardon u find this difficult .😅
Watch all the remainders lectures first and then divisibility rules.
Ur wellcome.
Thanks...
Thanks bhai
Can u tell the subtopics arrangement of how to watch??
@Sim Sidhanti Then what about factorials.. I guess even that is putted way before... And it should've been posted at the end right
@Sim Sidhanti Ohk .. Atlast.. Acc. To you ,are his videos enough for cat prep?
@rodha sir I would like to draw your attention towards a small correction in playlist. Please update the remainders video series prior for this video. Thank you and God bless you sir.

the last answer was not clear
(634-189)*3 digits we have .
why did you divided it by three???
Beacause after 99 ,number started with 3 digits
Sir in the last 5 digits why did you take 2 from 248 and didn't stop at 247? Please explain? Thanks you!
Is it because 248 is 82*3+2 and we just have to add 1 from (143*3+1)? So we just took the remainder of the last number (248) which is 2 from (82*3+2)?
It's because in 148×3+1 we have +1 na so we have to add one digit extra which is 2 from (248).
Yeah I got it thank you so much.
Yeh jo quant ki playlist hai kya yeh sufficient hai
Yes they did cover the whole syllabus. After watching the concept videos do refer to books too like Arun sharma or any other
Sir why is (9:38 ) video part …. Why is 100 not divisible by 2(3) cube while 1000 is divisible by 2(3) cube ?
When we divide 100/8 = 4 is remainder. But when we divide 1000/8 it will be cancelled and 125 is quotient. Hope you got it now.
Thank you sir for the wonderful lecture! i am gonna crack CAT 2024 easily!🎉
i have made a study group for cat aspirants, details are in the about section of my channel.
Sir, is this playlist arranged or can you please tell the sequence to watch it??
Because in starting, you have told us that we have covered these many topics and it is not done yet till this playlist
Before this video...watch the remainder topic videos....then divisibility video
really amazing and helpful i just started prepration and i enjoying it a lot earlier i use to hate all these thing now i am getiing interest. Thanks sir for your support!!!!!!!
Last 5 digits means = 47248( because last is 248) but why you left last two digits "48" and calculate 5digits like = 62472?
Because last 2 digits 48 is out of scope of 634 digits as given in the question
Yup we don't have to add any number to get 247 as 248
We just have to concentrate on digits..... I mean we have to add a next digit like 2472
Sir isn’t the answer would be 2 for last question?
Lecture 10 missing sir..
Lecture 9 is missing actually in the playlist
Did any one got lecture 9
Sir which authors books has to be preferred for preparation.
For last question, I think the last 5 digits should be 61471 as 147 would be the 148th term from 100 and one more extra digit (1) is added at the last .Can anyone clarify
Rodha❌Yodha✅
Why are we dividing N/32 in last question
that's the question, to find remainder when N is divided by 32.
Would you plz explain last question fully??
You need to find Remainder of N/32, where
N is given as 12345...634 digits which means N contains 634 digits,
You know the divisibility rule for 2^n, so even if you find remainder for just the last 5 digits of N, that will give you the answer.
Now, 1 to 9 contains 9 digits obviously,
10 to 99 contains 180 digits (90 numbers having 2 digits each).
So, 9+180 = 189 digits.
You are left with 634-189 = 445 digits.
Since all numbers after 99 contain 3 digits, you make groups of 3, that is you divide 445 by 3, that gives you 148 + 1 extra digit.
Now, you add 148 to 99, that gives you 247.
Remember you have 1 extra digit, so you use only the 2 from next number (248)
So your number becomes 2472
That is 4 digits, you want 5 digits so you take only last digit of the previous number that is 6 from 246.
Finally, you get last 5 digits of N that you were looking for, that is 62472.
Now just divide by 32 as your question demands and there's your answer 8.
Just to help visualize, the last few digits of N are like
...2422432442452462472
We only needed last 5 digits in this question to find Remainder.
Why he added 99 and 148? Can anyone explain please?

I have a query For eg if we choose a random number like 54342276/11 r=? (r= remainder) then Solution= [(5+3+2+7)-(4+4+2+6)]/11 r=1, then if we check with equation like 11y+1= 54342276 then y should be natural number or it can be in decimal?
please correct me if i'm wrong in any step.
y will be a natural number, that is it will be a quotient by when the big number is divided by 11
if we go more specific it will be a positive integer
At 18:13 1/11 remainder is 1 , how is it ?? can anyone explain

Just a little doubt how 99 +148?
1 and 2 digit numbers are till 99
The number of 3 digit numbers calculated are 148 i.e. 100, 101, 102 and so on till 247(total 148 pairs of 3 digit numbers).
Thus, the last 3 digit number is 99+148 which is 247.

For upsc aspirants skip to 11 min … thankful to you sir
Sir remainder is 1 for last qes but you wrote 8
please tell me.. is Arun sharma 's CAT material sufficient for practice?
Im a UPSC aspirant and learning from U
Can anyone explain the last question in after 99 whats he do??
Till the 99 , we already used digits 180+9= 189
Thus we left with only 634-189=445 digits
Now how many 3 digits number can we made since we have left 445 digits,
So it will we =445/3
Since 445 is not completely divisible by 3,
The quotient is 148 and the remainder is 1,
So we can make 148 , 3 digits number and one left single digit
Then 100,101,.....247 (total 148)
If we continue above series 101,102,103,...247248, we can't take the last 48 other wise the number of digits will be 636
Thus the last 7 digits are 2462472
The last 5 digits are 62472

was not able to understand the last question of 634 digits divided by 32?
Am I missing something?
As 32 = 2^5, for calculating the remainder of 634 digits divided by 32 you need to check the remainder for the last 5 digits only, as explained at the start of the video. Sir is explaining how to determine the last 5 digits out of the 634 and then find the remainder and hence the answer. Watch the video again, it might make sense now :)
62472/32 = 8 can someone explain
8 is the remainder and not the quoteint. Notice, he has added a vertical line and R showing that he is calculating the remainder and not the quotient.
Sir can we get the notes

789/125|Ř = 39(how?) please show exactly.....
