    What's the scariest bit of technical trail you've ridden recently? 👇

    GMBN, add more HARDTAIL content. Do a poll and see what your viewers are riding

      Inrecently downgraded from full squish to an agressive hardtail. Its a fun mashine!

      They won't; they want to sell people the idea of riding the greatest and best stuff, so they make videos for the greatest and best stuff.
      It would make more sense to show us HT and cross and cheap bike videos, but they know people would rather watch videos with the bikes they want, rather than what they have.

      According to all videos on TH-cam on mountainbiking, everybody rides a 7 to 10k fully.
      In my country (Netherlands) 80/90% rides a hardtail. Much much better for the average trail here.

      The problem is that GMBN don’t really know much about hard tails and they’re not the only ones, pink bike and most of the other channels are the same unless your watching Hardtail Party.
      every time they try a hardtail they will compare it with a full suspension bike And this quickly becomes boring, you need people that know about Hardtails

    • @mtbw1ll82
      @mtbw1ll82 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This all applies to hard tails they are just demonstrating on full squish but it’s basically the same

    - I always try to visualize myself riding it. If I visualize myself crashing on it, you know what's going to happen!
    - I believe that bikes are like horses. They know when you are tense. If you are, the bike will punish you.
    - It also helps that I wear a lot of body armor, fullface helmet, elbow pads, gloves, knee pads, padded underwear (not depends) and shin guards. It just gives me a bit more confidence when tackling stuff like this and I'm therefore more relax and loose on the bike.

    Just using more speed on trails at times can be a challenge for me. It seems like some days it’s not a problem and other days it is.

    What trail was that section from please? We are going to Saalbach next week so it would be nice to see it IRL and test it.
    Solid short video. I would stress one thing, if you do not feel the trails or its section, or you are outright scared, just do not ride it. It is better to walk it down than get hurt. You can always return later with more skills, experience or better mood.

    Also focus your video editing way less on try hard montages and more on side by side comparison between each line at the end

    Great Video, keep it up! And again your rear brake disk is mounted in the wrong direction. Is this on purpose?

  • @chrisridesbicycles

    The bit of trail shown has a runout at the bottom where you can break. This would make my try it but on lots of other sections, that is not there or you have to make it around a sharp turn at the bottom. This makes my head totally freak out and I will walk down (and fall over doing it). Can you make a video about how to tackle something like that?

      This is certainly not a feature I would recommend a less experienced rider taking. They do need to mention prerequisites on videos like this.

    When you tell people to "Walk the Line" can you remind them to be aware of potential riders coming up fast behind them? If people take this advice on trails with features without paying attention to the fact other riders might be coming up fast to ride that feature it can get dangerous pretty quickly.
    I am all for people checking out features on the trail before riding them, just be aware that you might need to jump out of the way and let someone through while doing it.

      Should be common sense.

      @ShadLife 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@coerce Yet it isn't for many people. That's why it's always worth a mention. I come across people standing in the middle of fast and technical sections quite often.

    Love the bike design th-cam.com/users/postUgkxHL1v1R3NE5x4KiYfyt8dnQmyNYz7qi5L and functionality. It is hard to align the front tired to center the disk brakes. The brake wheel touches the stationery side of the brake caliper and pad. I aired the tire up to 40 psi as the markings say 40-60psi. Left the house for a few hours and came back to an exploded innertube.All in all it seems to be a good bike. Have not ridden it yet though so that's the max of my knowledge. Update, put a new innertube made sure the tire was set properly and it did the same thing in under 20 minutes as second pic shows.
