Tip 2 is so important!! I love games and cosplaying so conventions/their gatherings are my go-to for meeting people
I'll ask for their SNS to keep in touch online but I won't immediately agree to meet ups outside of cons. Socializing is good but always prioritize your safety, everyone!

This was a great video and definitely a topic not really talked about. In different stages of life I feel like you lose some friends and gain others. But you're right, it's hard to make friends once you're an adult and you have to put yourself out there.
Yes soooo hard but so worth it! I'm still learning but I'm happy to start the journey!
Thank you for making such a heart felt and needed video. It really is hard to make friends as an adult and having moved to a new city with a, so far as much as I can see, semi-limited stationery/journal enthusiastic area..it can make one feel isolated. Thankful for sweet and thoughtful online communities to share journaling/writting passion and geek out about the same things..still hoping to find like-minded friends where I now live. Rooting for you friend! It's definitely harder in areas that don't have a large stationery store hub! I hope you find local friends but this digital community is also always here for you!

This was a good video with some good advice. My first pen show was the California pen show in Torrance and I met quite a few good people there. My second event was the O.C. Pen Club meet at M. Lovewell in Santa Anna where I also meet some really great people, as well as two of my favorite TH-camrs. I have been in Long Beach for about twenty years but have just gotten into the fountain pen hobby in the last year and have found that all my interactions with folks from the community have been 100% positive. Fountain pen and Journal people are really friendly, helpful and just generally lovely people. Let me know if anyone out there is interested in starting a Long Beach Stationary/pen club.🤎

Thank you for an inspiring video! I moved right at the start of the pandemic and unfortunately I ended up isolating more than I needed to. And then I was on sick leave with a broken leg. After that I’ve tried to come out of my shell, started a new hobby, asked work friends out for a swim, found a bf on Tinder, invited my old friends to visit me here.
