    I love the way this bike looks. It would be a great street bike.

      It is an amazing street bike. Power options with TCS make ones confidence high when caught in the rain.

    It's been said before but the US version of this bike is restricted. I have a '13 and flashed the ECU. Made a world of difference! It's a solid bike and with a little work out of the crate it's great!

    Team green at 3rd. I will take that as a win vs the much more expensive BMW and new R1... 30th anniversary edition(which is the one I have) .... Awesome.

    Why didn't you guys use the unrestricted ZX-10R ECU I did for Adam Waheed last year? That'd be a fair apple to apples comparison...

    My 2019 zx6r got stolen this year in March. Dealer near me has a 30th anniversary zx10r with 5k miles that I'm going to buy within the next month or two.

    I will manfully resist the urge to comment everywhere, because I haven't ridden any of these bikes, but I have ridden a slightly sorted & optimised 2012 10R, which is very nearly the same thing. If you are at a track day, or canyon carving, the 10R is pretty close to perfect. I'm not entirely sure without a back to back if it's the best handling bike I have ever ridden, but it's sure as hell close. I think my R6 race bike, with very tweaked suspension might be fractionally better, but it's a small difference. Engine / transmission ... there are some things about it which are outstanding. It has no bottom end at all and seems pretty flat in the midrange, but as you get around 10 ~11 you realise this thing is actually getting the job done and pretty damn quick. It does have real power, but it never seems to step up onto the cam, it just gradually makes a little more all the way to about 11 or 12, then holds that to nearly 14 - which is a big number for a litre class bike. In many ways it feels a lot like riding a 600, although no 600 comes close in terms of outright peak power. It seems silly to call it peaky, because it's not - the curve is very progressive and forgiving, it just doesn't have much until you have an awful lot of revs on - for a litre bike. That huge step of midrange torque that thousand plus bikes have, that makes them so jaw-dropping to ride, completely absent on the 10R. Now when you're up and trying, that doesn't really hurt, because you handle the twist grip with a lot more confidence, and you trust the traction control and the lack of oomph, and get lots of throttle on very early, and you go quite fast. The tyres were BT01s and they were good, and you could trust the thing and hammer it, and it did go very damn fast, and it was quite easy to ride like that. Problem is when you try and do daily traffic, because it feels litre bike size, but it seems to have a banana up the exhaust pipe, or two plug leads off. Compared to my '09 ZX14 or my son's 954 'blade, it feels shockingly gutless down low and flat in the midrange. The very light flywheel and crank mass, which do help when you're going hard, become a complete pain in the a$$ around town. I don't think I have ever ridden a standard large capacity 4 stroke roadbike, that's as easy to stall as the 10R. I'm used to the clutch on the ZX14, which is big and solid and progressive and beautiful, and close to bullet-proof. The clutch on the 10R is small and light and strong enough, just... I would not like to do five practice starts, because I think I'd need some new clutch plates... Which is a cause for concern, because you really need to slip that clutch, like a 4 cyl 250 sports bike. It doesn't get hot or run hot when you go fast, even in low gears, but it does get warm when you dawdle around - like in normal traffic. It never boiled or anything, but the temp showed a bit high and the heat coming off it cooked me. Now that bike had few miles on it, so maybe it settled down when it had ten thousand miles or so, my 14 used to give off real heat when it was pretty new, but either I got used to it or it stopped doing it after about ten thousand miles or so. Everything the bike does at day to day speeds, every sound, every feeling, seems to be reminding you that this is not what it was built for. It was built to be ridden like you stole it, and any time you're not doing that, it's not happy. Ride it like a hero, or a mass murderer, and it is outstanding. Ride it like Ned Flanders, and it makes no secret of its contempt for you. What I want, is the ZX14 motor and transmission, in a 10R chassis, but unfortunately, that wouldn't fit, or work properly if you did, but I want an engine like my ZX14 in a bike that handles and rides like the 10R. And I want that exact same traction control. It works, just like it says on the box.

    IIRC this bike made 200bhp when it came out, 210 with the ram air package, but didn't get the hype that these new 200hp bikes are getting for some reason..

    • @itubrrr
      @itubrrr 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      ***** These new bikes are making 200 hp to the wheels with a pipe.

    • @Death666wish
      @Death666wish 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      itubrrr
      And the ZX10R can't do that with a pipe? What's wrong with it if they all have 200 bhp and it makes less at the wheels?

    • @itubrrr
      @itubrrr 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      ***** .... the zx10r DOESN'T make 200 to the wheels with a pipe and certain doesn't make it without one, it makes significantly less.

    • @Death666wish
      @Death666wish 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      itubrrr
      I have never stated anything in regards of whp until you mentioned it. And you didn't answer my question, why wouldn't it make the same power as they do if it has the same power at the crank?

    • @itubrrr
      @itubrrr 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      ***** all I've been talking about was whp, that's what is real life and actually measured.
      The zx10 will not make it because the s1k and r1 are obviously understated from factory when you look at the dyno numbers they pull from factory. the zx10 was pulling 160 with a claimed 200 bhp, you do the math.

    • @anderpendragon
      @anderpendragon 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Michael Dang It's so much faster that it's not really fair. A lot of the people who'r complaining about it haven't even ridden it, and the people who have all say the same thing; the acceleration is terrifying. It corners fine, but you'r going faster into the curves so you have to break harder. Another reason is that they might not have been able to get one. They're selling like crazy, and there's only going to be a limited production run. Kawasaki, is actually losing money at 25K because of how expensive it is to produce them. They're overbuilt to a VERY high standard.

      @thatboysims3k879 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Mudux H2 is the street version. H2R is the track version of that bike.

    from the statistics and numbers we can tell right off the bat that the Adam Waheed is always 4 to 5 seconds behind to jason; in which tells us that he isn't utilizing these bikes the way they should assuming that jason is the better rider. Second on euro testing kawasaki showed most speed with BMW in 2ed place with str8 line speed. However; they showed BMW as first on track with kwasaki and r1. Nevertheless; euro testing had CBR1000rr and BMW as winners for street riding and comfort. and lets be hounest thats what most of these guys here do when riding and most of them cant afford bmw so in my opinion i would say 1 cbr1000rr 2. kawasaki zx10r 3 gsxr 1000
