If he still has powers without Ego being alive then it would make Yondu's death in vain, because Peter would have been able to survive without the suit

I think this movie is on par with the first personally, I loved it. Also it's the only comedy film I've ever seen where a main complaint fanboys have about it is that it's too funny. Who goes into a funny movie then moans that they laughed too much?
I wouldn't be too surprised if StarLord seemingly gets killed in the third act one or two GOTG movies from now, only to heal up with the realization that Ego's consciousness must have re-formed a body.

As for movie stars getting their faces scanned and selling off their likenesses for movies they physically aren't in, you guys should check out a hybrid live-action/animated film called the Congress that explores the concept. The film was directed by the same guy who directed Waltz with Bashir (another fantastic animated film).

Guardians of the Galaxy vol 2 was awesome! It's ok for kids, the dick jokes are not a reason to keep your kids from watching this movie. There were a lot of kids in the movie theatre.
We need to campaign for an expansion for more DC characters in the media. For example: Animated Flash vs The Rogues movie, Wonder Woman vs the new Gods video game, Richard Dragon and Bronze Tiger in Injustice 2 etc.
