For one, Snitching is an active criminal giving evidence against another active criminal, to police/detectives, in order to receive leniency in indictment/prosecution and/or with the intent of getting reported criminal imprisoned. For example, an active robber or drug dealer reporting an active rapist to the authorities, with no intent to either gain leniency or not, is not a Snitch. Why? They are both criminals, but they are operating and vibrating under two totally different code of conducts, ethics, and energies; they are not in the same lane. There is no conflict of interest. For example, if I am robbing a bank but, on the way out of the bank, I see a child being kidnapped, I am reporting the description of the vehicle to the authorities and may even do something else.
A rapist reporting a rapist is a Snitch. An active drug dealer reporting an active drug dealer is a Snitch. A law-abiding citizen reporting any active criminal to the authorities is not a Snitch.
