Thanks for this very useful video. I have a newer model of the Sinosmart, so the connections are in slightly different places, but I was able to get it installed in 90 minutes by following this step by step. Great job!

You make it look easy, I started on mine but got a bit overwhelmed by the shear amount of wires.
Just go one step at a time mate before you move on to the next. Don't overthink it but be careful and you'll be well pleased after you fit it 👍

I have a question: the message’s language when using the parking camera appears in, I think, Turkish, but the rest of the radio is in English, including the factory menu. Any suggestion on how to fix it ?? I have tried with the language setting in the factory and outside menu

Did you find a solution? After installing the after market radio my microphone stopped working. I ordered a new one from Amazon I hope it fixes the issue
The brown fakra z connector for the DAB. Do you of any issues using these with the usb DAB adapters that you can get for these android head units? The usb adapters state 5v active antenna voltage and I cannot find any information about what active voltage the Nissan fitted DAB aerialS use. I am hoping it's as straightforward as buying another male-to-male adapter cable, like you used for the GPS.
Hi I came across your video and it's a fantastic tutorial so thankyou. I do have a question, I retrofitted a mmi in my BMW and the audio output was via aux which affected the sound quality compared to stock. Next week I will be getting a Qashqai and I wondered if this mmi uses the same output or does it use the factory speakers input to retain the orginal sound quality? Thankyou
It'snhas its own amp and is a stand alone system so you won't have any issues like that.

Great video, it really helps, when I touch the button on the steering wheel or when the car is in reverse it seems that the camera app freezes and I have to switch off the car, do you know a fix for this? do I have to upgrade firmware or is it something else?
I did switch the camera to NTSC in settings to get a good image. I also connect a dab+ USB adapter to the head-unit and it starts immediately to play, is there a way to switch that off?
Is it possible to connect an extra subwoofer and equalizer for more deeper sounds

The brown wire is your DAB radio antenna. If you get the optional DAB module and connector, you would plug it in here.

The front and rear car sensors don't seem to be working for me after installing the radio? Are the sensors suppose to beep as they use to, or are they not compatible with this unit?
The Red/White phono's from my Radio had "F L Out" and "F R Out", in case they're related to this? (the other 2 phonos from the radio said "Aux L In")

What a brilliant tutorial,I fitted mine today and followed your guide,for some reason I didn't get both mini usb only one full size USB with a 6pin connecter,anyway I continued with everything else except fitting it back into dash,I switched it on but was unable to find any FM stations,so I'm thinking this must be down to not having the mini usbs installed..any advice greatly appreciated
Seems they have changed the USB extension to a single. Tbh I didnt need even the 1 extra USB(never fitted), especially when your centre console one works too.
If FM isn't working, make sure the FM antenna hasn't popped out. There no latch on it. Give it a reboot too and try again.

Hello, was wondering if you can help me, I wanted to had a underseat sub which also uses rca cable, so if AUX L OUT and AUX R OUT sends single from andriod unit to AUX L IN and AUX R IN to send out sound to car speakers what do the other two cables on the 20 pin do? The AUX L IN and AUX R IN? would this be for the sub?
Out of interest, do you still have this head unit in the car and how well does it work 2yrs on(if you do)?
Do you have any advice on how to set up the external mic that comes with the unit? It comes with a 3.5mm headphone jack but there is nowhere to plug it in so I am currently unable to make calls as no one can hear me. Any help is much appreciated.

Can you not use fakra to sma cable to use oem equipment for DAB +?
Tried this yesterday but my cars connectors are different with only 1 fitting. The pin outs are all different and after plugging the only fitting plug in, the fuse for audio in my car blew (found this out when I put the original screen back in and it didnt turn on)
Any ideas on where I can find an android unit that has the right harness for my car. It's the same shape as yours, (2020 Nissan Qashqai 1.3 DiG-T 160 N-Tec)

Yes, it is late editing... I shot like 2hrs of video to edit quite a while back. Work and irl hasnt left me much time.
I will probably have two parts as it feels a little long still. Hopefully 1st half should be up before tomorrow.

Hi can I ask where did you buy all the wiring harnesses? I've ordered a double din for my qashqai j10, and want to use the factory wiring as I have a full bose and and speaker set up, also reverse camera and satnav
Did you order from this seller mate? It should come with all the cables if you chose the right one. You've got the radio, fascia, looms and canbus.
If you bought elsewhere, and just the radio, I'd recommend asking your seller.

Does the factory navigation display in the dashboard in front of the steering works with the head unit satnav? With the factory head unit, when we use satnav it will also show directions display in the dashboard.
No. You will lose that on any android unit to change to.
Only the Nissan factory Satnav can communicate with the vehicle information display.

Camera speaker? Do you mean the beeping when reversing? I've had no issues on mine. Is your other music etc ok? Maybe recheck your connections

Hi, I’ve just fitted one in my Qashqai, I’d be very interested on your views. My forward button on steering doesn’t seem to work music from phone and I can still hear radio when I start Apple Music, that’s my main issues with the unit at the moment, how about you?
You have to make sure Bluetooth audio is as source. If you tap Bluetooth and choose the music tab from below it should play fine.
Did you have to do anything with grounding the unit? I’ve installed 2 after market units into my xtrail and both have hissing coming from the speakers.
No, nothing. If you have BOSE, It may be to do with how the amps work together. You could try to flat EQ it, or slightly lower it out of the headunit.
Very nice clip...I would to know if all the operations on the haead unit are transmitted to the center small screen ? On this center screen I have speed limit icon which read the speed limit. Does this head unit do it ?. I know that Dasaita does it. So can i buy this head unit ang buy an dasaita canbus ?. Thank you
Speed limits will still work on the vehicle information display. It comes with the canbus as package, so there's no need to order something different. You wont have any extra features on another canbus, as its not manufactured by either company and it may very well be the same one!

having a strange issue with Navigation. Whichever app is set to default navigation Maps or Waze, when launched no sound on navigation when sound set to "mixing". it's like it's trying but no sound comes out. if I launch either app from app drawer, I get sound but not mixed sound. it just plays over whatever is playing in background. any ideas how to fix. Sinosmart have been no help whatsoever!!

The best options would be to get some good component speakers and tweeters. The Focal 165AS are usually recommended.

My DAB was working fine on my old unit. The blue connector from the car is for the GPS antenna. The cable you need is a Fakra adapter. I have included links in description.

Hi, do you have any experience with battery saver? With original navi system, when motor shutdown. The radio plays until driver doors are not opened (max 10 minutes ). This one stop playing immediatelly.
Thats correct. All the android units are made this way. One work around is to quickly tap the start button on your car to put the car back into accessories after turning off your engine.

Well spotted! That 8 pin connector is indeed needed. It was just a mistake in editing.
The 8pin blue and white cable is canbus operations. If not plugged in you may have issues with the steering buttons or factory 360 camera.

The canbus comes with the package. Talk to the seller you bought from.

VAT isnt collected as it's over £135. So it very may well be charged.

I've added two links to the description mate. Follow the correct link depending on whether you have Satnav currently.
Then choose if you have auto or manual Aircon. There's also an option if you have the bose speakers and need the correct loom.
If you have Park Assist (automatic parking) then add a note to the seller once you've bought it.
If you're not sure on anything, then just send pictures to him and ask for help.

Do the cameras only work in reverse? With the factory multimedia there was an option to enable the front camera in all other gears. Does this option exist with aftermarket multimedia?
I can turn the camera on any time there is a screen camera icon on mine.

Sygic I believe is the best for offline maps. Download once and you'll be able to use it offline.
Waze, Google maps etc are an online navigator. They use data to download maps, address, traffic and nearly everything else. Good thing is that you can very up to date information (especially traffic, closures, cameras, police etc).
@@iceze also whilst I'm chatting, Waze stalls at 99% download whilst connected to my phone via tether so I am going to park out front and try the WiFi instead

Hi I want help to find the product of mine usb connector and gps antenna
Hi can you help me? Before fitting my new head unit my old radio could be powered up for around 20mins or so without having the power ignition onto the car but this new unit needs power all the time , before the radio would stay on until you opened the door even when the ignition was off. Is this normal or can it changed similar to the previous factory fitted radio ?
Unfortunately all the android radios seem to function this way. There's usually about a 2 sec lag after turning off the car. So, If you hit the start button again, the radio will then stay on alive and will carry on.
The only other option is splicing into the 12v wire for the centre console. I was going to do a video for this, but wasn't sure if anyone would be interested or willing to follow it.
@@iceze Hi thanks for that i would like to try this as particularly when you are setting up apps etc, also just out of interest i’ve fitted my new head unit and I also ordered a DAB usb adapter but the Fakra connector supplied doesn’t fit my factory fitted DAB aerial connector it not like the blue one. Another issue is when a door is open it shows the wrong side being opened on the head unit , they both show but are opposite to what they should be, did you have this issue? Does your Qashqai have a Bose sound speakers with a subwoofer?

360 and TPM work fine. Audio is good.

Turns out that it's the first one, the brown connector. One need a separate cable to hook up the dab receiver to that plug... A Fakra (f) SMA (m) cable

Use the one in the bundle as you can't use the factory mic.
