I worked in a hospital ER during college. I physician told me this story in 1980, before NDE’s were a thing. Pt arrests on the OR table during surgery, they successfully resuscitate the Pt. A week later the physician is doing rounds in the ICU and the PT tells him about leaving his body, being elevated above the OR and has knowledge of techniques that were used to bring him back. Then the PT requests that the doctor confirm something for him. The Pt had a seven digit number in his head that he saw on top of one of the OR lamps, that could not be seen from below. Asked the doctor to confirm if it was there. This physician who I worked with said he went and got a ladder, and looked, it was the serial number of the OR lamp. Doctor looks at me in the eye and says “I believe!” Ever since then I have been studying NDE’s they are real, and I believe that when our body dies we go on!

It's all true. I have been there. For years I never talked about it. I never knew about NDEers. The one take away of it all is I don't fear death at all.
@veganix6757 there is no he'll. That is just a control tactic that religions use. However, if you were bad, you will experience what you inflicted on others. Unless you make things right here on earth. If you don't get right you will have to keep coming back until you do.
I've had an OBE - out of body experience. I wasn't dying, it just happened. I was about 12 and it was amazing. I flew to the top of the ceiling and saw my body lying on the bed where I had just been thinking about random stuff and staring at the wall not really focusing. I could see what was on top of the wardrobe that I couldn't reach normally without a ladder. I had been completely awake beforehand. There was no 'reason' for it ie I wasn't sleeping or ill or stressed or on drugs. It lasted about 5 mins and I just thought 'I can breathe with no body', then I instantly snapped back into my body and was looking out my real eyes again.
I had an OBE also I was I think about 12-13. I was sleeping and I floated out of my body I was looking down at myself sleeping. I got so scared it ended and I woke up
Thank you Chris and John Burke , at last the truth about these experiences . And of course that connection with what we know from the Bible and tough to in our Catholic Church . The Lord is allowing these to be known to us individually but also to all of us . The lords is reveling to us , in very intense ways . Showing us evil works . Praise and glory to our God almighty . In Jesus name
A book told the death experience of a child. He was in a different part of the hospital when he died and he rose up from his body and saw and heard the conversation between his parents and hospital staff. He told his parents exactly what they said and there was no other way he could have known. He was in that room in his spirit.
I love John Burke. Thank you for having him on. I’ve seen him on with Julie with the Everyday Miracles podcast, and with Randy Kay and Shawn Talbot. Many. Love his line of work. It’s no wonder why he smiles, always
There is definitely another side…your conscious lives on. I knew who I was on the other side…this is 100% true. The other side is more real than our own reality. It’s absolutely beautiful beyond words can say. Saw the light but I could look at the light it didn’t hurt my eyes but it was soo bright, and I heard a deep but loving voice ask me a question a very important question….
I'm sorry. I love you, Chris, and your commitment to Christ inspires mine. But at around the 9 minute mark you mentioned that if the woman was a meth addict you'd hope God would move your heart NOT to marry the person. The prophet Hosea was commanded to pursue his ex wife who had gone back into prostitution and by this show that God Himself will go and gather the lost. It's my shortcoming that meth-addicted women are not attractive to me, but my own wife is a person who struggles with bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, and a gambling addiction. God calls us each uniquely. Yes, thank God your wife didn't have those struggles, but someone's wife does and thank God He will provide them a husband or spiritual guide to move them back into His grace. Just a little nudge, brother. Thanks for all you do, and praise be to the Lord.
Chris was correct, and not to be chastised. You are conflating discerning a spouse and helping/ loving a spouse. We are called to discern before marriage and it would not be prudent to marry someone who could not fulfill that vocation. If one was ALREADY married then of course you love them by helping them without limits, and never give up. Huge difference.

I love this topic, I don't really love the Christian angle on it here though. There's nothing wrong with that, but this is experienced through out time and space by people of all different cultures and religions. And its experienced exactly the same. I find that way more fascinating. It doesn't seem to matter what religion you are, in fact it rarely comes up at all in these experiences except for people who believe entities they encountered might have been Jesus or I've also heard/read "the virgin Mary", but this seems to be more so their own projection on what is happening. Christians also for obvious reasons often want to ignore the universality of this experience when it comes to revelation of multiple lives/reincarnation. The realization on the other side that they have done this many times before. I find this aspect of it really fascinating, it shows up in nearly all NDE's, but Christian researchers of this subject kind of shy away from it because it isn't a Christian belief. The other thing I think Christian's struggle with on this subject is that it also doesn't seem to matter what your personal spiritual beliefs are, all that seems to matter there is how you treated or interacted with other people. More so Catholics have a problem with this, because Catholics teach that only those who accept Jesus will get into the afterlife, and works do not matter (this is also found in the bible, which if there is truth to these NDE's, is completely wrong). No shade on Christians, I just think this experience is more interesting in the fact that its universal and has bigger implications for spirituality and life on earth, or the other worlds people seem to walk away believing they might have lived on.
Good points. Personally, when people get highly religious and start hitting every point of the Bible, I tend to believe they're making it up for evangelical purposes.
Except for the dying part I'd love to have a beyond and back experience and speak with Jesus. If I could go directly to heaven I'd take that too. But thus far im stuck here just hearing of these miraculous experiences from others.
I’m a progressive Christian theologian. And I’m obsessed with NDEs too. Haven’t finished watching this yet but I sense these gentlemen probably lean toward conservative or evangelical theology. What it doesn’t seem they acknowledge is that the God described in NDEs is not wrathful and don’t seem to care what people believed. There is only love and compassion and salvation is universal. Yes, there are a few stories of people experiencing a darker, refining kind of experience, but that is always of their own making. NDEs somewhat disprove classical Christian theology.
Not so. God knows it's not their time, and yet, He still pulls them to him. He knows He will send them back. Why would He show them wrath when He wants them to seek Him out in life? People seek love. If God shows us anger, we will flee in fear and shame, which we deserve. But He wants us to accept Love, thus showing how much He is willing to forgive and bridge the gap to bring us to Him. This will cause the person to seek out His Son and know Him.
Dr. Neal was also told during her NDE that she would lose her son at some point during her life; and if I remember correctly, her son did die 10 years after her NDE.
I had a freind who died but before she died. she had a conversation with her mother who had passed away many years ago . after that conversation said she would meet me and my wife when we passed away. there is life after death and those who passed on before will come to meet you when you die
My question is about those who have had near-death experiences but were non-believers. They still went to a wonderful place (definitely not Hell) and they did not see Jesus. It makes me think that everyone is going to go on to a beautiful afterlife, not just Christians.
@@suzannehutnick3170 not all of em. Next episode gets in to heaven AND hell. Jesus is the only way - though some apparently don’t meet him until the other side.
The absence of Jesus is hell. A person may have peace from being absent from the body but that's the extent of their peace. I wouldn't want to spend eternity without him.
That’s the point I’ve been trying to make! You’re so very right…in my opinion. You don’t have to be affiliated to any particular religion, it’s a one to one connection to God or “Source”, if you will. It’s refreshing to hear your opinion! God Bless.

Chris @RealLifeCatholic. I spoke with you and Jimmy Wahlberg after the Inferno conference about the screenplay I had written. Mr. Burke's analogy at 15:30 about 3D->4D is the thesis of my proposed movie. That angels and heaven are 4D! I did send Jimmy the screenplay. Probably too amateur to get a bite, but I dunno. Good to know but the devil is pretty tricky. Appreciate your shows. Another thing I don’t understand is if these people are led to Jesus, why aren’t they led to His church?
So much Christian agenda here. What about all the NDEs that see other gods? I want it to be real don’t get me wrong. But I don’t think one religion is right
This is only my opinion but great question there... from what John said, this isn't entering eternal life or death. As he said there is still a border that they can't cross over to and I would assume that's entering your eternal life be in heaven hell or purgatory? So it's an experience of seeing your life in review more than a judgement to enter eternity..
This idea of being, in a way, outside of heaven, like heavens foyer, where you still have a choice, reminds me of the book by CS Lewis, The Great Divorce.
Just exactly upsets you Bout people that are enough about you not to go to eternal place of darkness where there is no relief from your solitude in torment? Would it make you feel better if they just laughed and wished you God speed!
I would imagine they will be less available being they are more money motivated so less incentive to invest in such things. But I recently explored an anti biblical individual known as Billy recently interviewed by Joe Rogan. You might find his viewpoints interesting, I found him to be in a direction I could not agree with due to my own searches and understanding @golferbabe1225
But you are getting your evidence from science not from the Bible. The Bible says that the dust shall return to the ground as it was and the spirit shall return to God who gave it. Ecclesiastes 12:7. 1 Corinthians 15:51 says that at the resurrection people will have Immortal life, not when they die. This is a very important subject because wasn't it The Serpent who said you shall not surely die in Genesis 3 but you are saying that people do not really die but that they go to heaven and live. Ecclesiastes 9:10 says that they rest from their labour. They do not continue their life in heaven. This is why gravestones always said rest in peace. RIP . Neither does anybody continue their life in hell because the wicked are sent to hell at the second death. Even in hell they do not continue their life because they are subjected to eternal destruction. If you believe that this means they are being destroyed eternally then the phrase eternal destruction is an oxymoron. It's simply means their destruction is eternal.

I have this one very pressing question that is always on my mind and I never seem to get the answer to. I watched this whole discussion and I really wished it would have been addressed. It was mentioned that there is a choice of death and life. The question I have is why in the universe would a soul choose death over life after experiencing such great peace joy and love??
Why would anyone choose life in these bodies on this troubled planet instead of Heaven? The question I have is why do they (God, Jesus, Angels) give you a choice but then force you to come back even if you don't want to.
@chomperthefirst533 That's all I've heard people who have had these say. They didn't want to come back and some even argued about it. One that I watched recently said "no! I don't want to go back, I'm not going back" to which they replied "find! have it you're way then" the next thing they said happened was a huge hand, and specified it was the hand of God, forced them back into their body. And they claimed the pain after re-entry was unbearable.

Apparently we all have a specific expiration date. Many were sent back to earth because it wasn't their time. IMO it's like pulling a cake out of the oven before the timer goes off. That’s the difference. We believe all creation came from God, that he loves us, that all will return to Him one way or another and we will live forever (one way or another, good or bad) They believe everything came from nothing, that God abandoned them or never existed, that they will return to nothing, and be nothing forever. ♾️ The truth always was, is and will be the truth. Not all experience the Christian language and images in the NDE, yet the loving, all merciful light is the same, etc. I just listened to a woman who is Muslim. She had all the same experiences, but within the context of the Muslim language, persons, images. So be truly open-minded. There is only one God and many languages trying to express the ineffable.
All wrong. In Gen.2:7, "man" and "soul" are synonyms in that passage. Mind your grammar and depart from occult Dualism. No such thing as NDE either. When you're dead, you're dead. People believe Satan who put it in man's mind he can never die when he said in the Garden, "You will ~not~ surly die." Now that Satan gave man that idea, it stuck, and the fake Christians attached a burning hell to their reworded gospels so to lord it over threatening their fellow man with it. Satan, in the Garden, also gave this gift to man when he said, "You shall be like God..." Gen.3. NDE is nothing more than a hallucination, a dream, a delusion of grandeur induced in his mind by Satan making promises as sinful man believes the AI machines he's plugged into.
Why do gatekeeper channels like this always dishonestly choose to ignore the experiences of many HUNDREDS of beautiful NDE accounts and stories illuminating the reality of repeated earth lives...or, if you wish, Reincarnation.
No one actually died...that's why they are called ''near death''. Burke has become obsessed with this topic for many years. None of these experiences are a substitute for bible teaching and the Gospel.
Proof of there being an afterlife and proof of the Bible being "the way" are too different things. We all die and go through the same process no matter our earthly religion. The problem with Christianity is they think they found the one and only way. That's your ego talking if you believe that. Religion is good in that it makes you think, but belief in Jesus isn't some requirement to "cross over " -scott
@@AmyandScott another take: I don’t think it’s arrogant to take Jesus at his word. I think it’s arrogant to hear the claims of a man who rose from the dead and reduce that to “so…Christian…you think YOU have it figured out!” It’s not about us, but about finding a truth none of us has the power to create.
@@RealLifeCatholicmy problem isn't with Jesus, my problem is with the Christian religion itself thinking that accepting Jesus is the only way and everyone else is wrong. That's modern Christianity. Jesus didn't die for your sins so you don't have to do anything except accept him in your heart. He was one of many teaching Christ Consciousness, something we are all capable of. It was man that twisted it isn't him dying for your sins and that's all you need. That's a big part of what's wrong with the world today. People from other cultures see Buddha or another teacher when they pass. It's whatever you believe in there to comfort you. Only a fool would think the other 5000 major religions have it wrong and you have it right. The outcome is the same for all of us. We review our own lives and judge ourselves. No God or entity is judging you or dooming anyone to Hell. We are here to make the physical world a better place and it behooves us to. We will reincarnate back to learn other lessons and experience more growth.
Jesus is real, Buddha is real, Krishna is real, .. the gurus are real, but religion is man made. Secondly, I don’t believe a word Paul / Saul (of Tarsus) said. He contradicted Jesus more than he cited him. Also, Yahweh (Yaldabaoth) is actually (Satan) in some of the earliest forms of Christianity.
I am deeply involved in electronic voice phenomenon experiments which has proven to me time after time after time that there is a spirit world but I'm grappling with the claims and teaching that some people are sent to hell which doesn't fit in a very loving God would I send a bad child to be tortured forever absolutely not
I have listened to those who have crossed over and returned only to tell an incredible story of their experiences on the other side. I have read books outlining many truths that they discovered while out of body. Your statement that these experiences prove the Bible to be true is somewhat confusing and partly disingenuous. The Bible is a religious set of letters men wrote about experiences regarding people and events. I've yet to hear someone tell their NDE story that referenced the word sin. That word is a made-up, artificial, earthly word used to condemn and control the masses. I admit that I have not interviewed 1500 people. However, I've watched and read so many accounts of what NDEs saw and experienced to know that religion is not of the creator but rather, in my opinion, a group of beings demiurge pretending to be the creator. The word God technically is nothing but a title of something masquerading and misleading the truth about the afterlife and our true purpose here on earth. I'm sorry, but this is not the reality most who crossed over-described. Furthermore, we are made in the image of our creator, meaning we are also energy, light, and love, able to create our own reality here on earth. That's why Christ himself said the Kingdom of God is within. I'm confident that this discussion will continue for some time. However, I'm equally confident that the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, will expose religion for what it really is: a manmade set of rules and regs designed to keep the masses in their place and to hide the truth about who we really are in the sight of the actual creator. .

I believe you are a special being with a spiritual gift! You will do great things in this life!
I had an OBE also I was I think about 12-13. I was sleeping and I floated out of my body I was looking down at myself sleeping. I got so scared it ended and I woke up
Amazing
Thank you Chris and John Burke , at last the truth about these experiences .
And of course that connection with what we know from the Bible and tough to in our Catholic Church .
The Lord is allowing these to be known to us individually but also to all of us .
The lords is reveling to us , in very intense ways .
Showing us evil works .
Praise and glory to our God almighty .
In Jesus name
And showing us the love too .amen
AMAZING. Thank you for this Chris. Praise God. Best wishes from Australia
Jesus I trust in you.
This is so amazing. Thank you for sharing this. I have a dear friend who needs to hear this.
Thank you, Chris. John Burke answered many questions.

We all have to be in a state of grace
❤
Chris was correct, and not to be chastised. You are conflating discerning a spouse and helping/ loving a spouse. We are called to discern before marriage and it would not be prudent to marry someone who could not fulfill that vocation. If one was ALREADY married then of course you love them by helping them without limits, and never give up. Huge difference.
Amen
I think we all need to do alot of soul searching. Review your life now.
Looking forward to Part 2! Riveting interview - left me hopeful! 🙏🙏🙏

Hey Chris this we need to hear
NDEs somewhat disprove classical Christian theology.
until u xperience on ur own nde
@@crankymamabear1 you’re missing my point entirely.

Dr. Neal was also told during her NDE that she would lose her son at some point during her life; and if I remember correctly, her son did die 10 years after her NDE.
We need interviews with mystics- Catholic vs modernist mystics.
God Bless.

Chris, I am a Roman Catholic. There is no mention of Purgatory! What's your take on that?
This is only my opinion but great question there... from what John said, this isn't entering eternal life or death. As he said there is still a border that they can't cross over to and I would assume that's entering your eternal life be in heaven hell or purgatory? So it's an experience of seeing your life in review more than a judgement to enter eternity..

But why are Christians seeing hell? Is it because they gleefully tell everyone about it.
I have only heard people saying that they did not want to come back at all. They wanted to stay there forever.

People slip through the cracks of escaping from their physical bodies & are sent back.

God even himself claim to create evil and sending lying spirits do deceive people and it is jealous and so on. He even does not know bible which he claim to be source of truth for him
We live in three dimensions. Man, what are you talking about???
@@dariuslembert8717 that on the other side people describe more than our dimensions. Which would be hard for anyone to wrap their head around.

our lady of wherever? NO THANKS
Is the guest Catholic?
Apparently not, but Fr. Robert Spitzer speaks of NDE's as one of the scientific proofs of the existence of the immortal soul, God, and the afterlife. He even relays the same story about the patient's dentures!
@@robertschneider2122 Hi Rob! No, he’s not. A great Christian man though. & where we CAN agree (which is a lot)….we should spend time agreeing! Also - I think it’s safe to say that no one (Catholic or protestant) has done as much research into the topic as him. Fr. Spitzer has done a lot, but not nearly John Burke’s firsthand research. He gets the stories that people like Fr. Spitzer and me share. He’s THE guy leading the research on this topic.
@@RealLifeCatholic Of the 1,500 he studied or interviewed, did anyone report seeing purgatory, Mary, or the Saints?
