dune is visual and audio feast .. it walk the technical side of the oscars .. also the older actors stole the movie from the younger ones .. they made they characters so much more interesting and fun . brolin has a very strong career, to me he will always be Brand in the Goonies first and foremost !! love that he can make images to , quite like Jeff Bridges in that respect in terns for their on set work , O and Dennis Hopper to , going to have look at this book and see if its how good it is .. Fraser did an outstanding job he is starting to rival Deakins with this one , its a 70mm movie for sure if you Haven't seen it in Imax 70mm then you HAVE NOT seen the real movie ...OR Otherwise think of it this way it's like shooting 10*8 and then crop it down to 4*5 .. what you are looking at is completely different to what was shot !! . its a good film to watch to learn some composition and how to inject atmosphere into your work , PS good instagram Malone

Beautiful video man. Thank you so much for mentioning and complimenting my work among such an incredible piece of cinema history. Dune as well as the Blade Runner, Tron Legacy & Matrix movies have been such a big inspiration for me.. stay blessed out there!

Very true re: Polaroids. That was the one thing that drew me to, and keeps me intrigued with, the I-2. There is something… a quality of detachment from “reality” (and at 68, I’m still trying to figure out what that word means 😊).
Interesting thoughts. Best wishes on the unpacking!

Absolutely, I think the dream-like look of Polaroids is what draws me to that particular medium. My work in that regard is only deepening as time goes on, and same with I-2. Love that camera!

You lost me when you said sicario isn’t our world. I think you just live in a sheltered version of reality

Obviously there is incredible darkness in our world, but Sicario is a movie with a particular gritty and isolated vibe. I don’t doubt a lot of that stuff could happen and does, but the movie itself is not actual reality. It’s a vignette of nihilism and bleakness in a vacuum as if it’s its own depressing planet not connected to ours.

haha there's always threads of my movie interests that pop up here and there, but this is still a very photography focused channel
