I like this movie for two reasons 1. It has to the animation and I’d love to see 2D animation back on the big screen 2. It has a purple crayon and purple is one of my favorite colors
@@osmanyousif7849 I mean it couldve been worse, what if it was all live action and no animation at all? I'm bummed aswell but at least they stayed true to the source material and actually remembered what Harold and the purple crayon is
I’m honestly happy and proud to see that Harold is all grown up. Because even fictional story characters have to grow up from childhood to adulthood sometime.
As the matter of fact: The film serves as a sequel to the original book, with Harold grew up with his magical purple crayon. After he draws himself off the book's pages and into the physical world, Harold finds that he has a lot to learn about real life.
Great film sad it didn't do well at box office if its still showing near you go and see it highly recommend. Don't listen to the haters or memes and try it for yourself
6:13 when you find out that you left the curtain of your house open along with a magnifying glass near some papers😂😂😂 I cant this part when moose is screaming
@@wizardfoxangel5300 Almost like from Hook. It serves as a sequel to the original book, with Harold growing up with his magical purple crayon. After he draws himself off the book's pages and into the physical world, Harold finds that he has a lot to learn about real life.
And Crockett Johnson is Harold's father, as an author, he created him. So Harold was wrong for all this, he's a sham, everything is not going back to normal and it won't work, what a mistake.
I never saw the movie yet, but the opening scene in this video's probably my favorite because if I was like Harold in this opening? Not only would my crayon would be Red? but I'd also draw 3 of my animal friends based on my 3 favorite characters who are Fisk,Komodo, and Zon from this one favorite Cartoon Network show of mine back in 2009 called "The Secret Saturdays"😄and plus my world like Harold's would also be a big Robot and Monster-like island too lol.
Animated Harold looks like the man with the yellow hat.
I know right? He reminds me of him too. I bet George would make such good friends with him.
But he’s wearing blue
@@no_visor5803 true but not anymore. He wears adult-sized clothes now. Even when he’s once again animated.
Istg he does.
So it’s not just me?
Imagine if the film was fully animated and got director Matthew o'callaghan of Curious George fame!! We could've had a good adaption!!!
Fun Fact: Zooey Deschanel was featured in Elf alongside TMWTYH's first voice actor, Will Ferrell (who got replaced by Jeff Bennett in the series).
it makes sense to be fully animated
Except for Zachary Levi. Hey love doing his voice of Ted the man of the yellow hat. From curious George.
I wished the whole movie will be fully animated!!
Most of us when we saw the Eric Goldberg animated sequence in Son Of The Mask:
In a perfect world, it would've happen

I'd love to see an animated short where Harold and his friends read the original book

I like this movie for two reasons

So basically it’s bad? 💀
@@Derp-rz1nn no I like it
This is the only animated part of the film. The rest is a live action zachary levi, which is just plain sad
This movie could have been so much better if it was fully animated like this. What a massive miss opportunity.
Exactly. Not everything needs to be a live action adaptation/continuation. Some things work far better animated.
@@osmanyousif7849 I mean it couldve been worse, what if it was all live action and no animation at all? I'm bummed aswell but at least they stayed true to the source material and actually remembered what Harold and the purple crayon is
Minecraft movie moment
Yeah
I would have preferred a fully animated film over an animated live action hybrid film like Enchanted.
Enchanted works very well, unlike here where the concept simply doesn't fit with live-action.
I’m honestly happy and proud to see that Harold is all grown up. Because even fictional story characters have to grow up from childhood to adulthood sometime.
Same.
Why
Tell that to Greg heffley

Omg the title enough was ringing nostalgia in my mind 😢 definitely will watch this!
I’m sure my sister would love this movie❤
I remembered the story back in elementary school
Did Harold sleep for around 50 years? The original author died around that time and he goes to the real world in modern times.
The author is named Crockett Johnson.
And Crockett Johnson is not Harold's father, he is mistaken, because all this Harold is a sham.
I hope this movie gets a fully animated adaptation in like 10 years
This was the most inspiring cartoon as a three four year old. Am still draw and painter 👩🏻🎨
