You just need to go on Serbian "slava" and we can call you our true Serbian brother and sister :) Every house in Serbia has its saint whose protecting all people in that house. In his honor, people must sacrifice some animal (usually little pig, little sheep we call it "prasece pecenje or "jagnjece pecenje"). Besides that, the main house table must be full of all other stuff that you tried so far - meze, supa(corba), sarma, rostilj (in some cases), cakes etc. Of course, for the drink rakija, bear, vine... Everything you tried at the one place in one big meal :) The most common slavas in Serbia are between end of october till the end of january.

It is a MUST. There is a vojvoda (the duke) role, the guy who carries the Serbian national flag whole the time. It is more unique in the villages where you drive a motorcade from one village to another, and then to a church, etc., and in the first car, there is a waving flag. In the big cities, you just come to a restaurant. So, not much to see. You come to eat. In the villages, there are many things to be done. :) It is my flag, but it is so beautiful! :)
