What a gentle yet strong spirit Bill Johnson has . Praise the Lord for his gifting and how he conveys the Lord's power to us. One of his many great quotes : " When u believe a lie , you empower the liar and you can spend your life shadow boxing and exhaust yourself fighting something that is not even there " . I love how Bill teaches us to " grow up " in Gods word and seek to see the world through a " kindgom vison" that lifts our eyes above the mire that satan throws as us daily and instead onto the promises and the blessings Christ has already given us . God has given Bill an incredible gift to encourage and provoke thought ! It DOES excite me to hear this just like it excites him to preach it . 🙂 Humble me Lord Jesus , make my heart a place where Your word is planted deep in my soul so that You can bear much fruit in me. 💗

@@childofgod6788 Friend in Christ, I invite you, look at the mocking behavior during the Strange Fire conference. Such hubris was on display there. If you're able, try watching it with a critical eye (I'm sure you know that "critical" is not actually the same as fault-finding). Note how many comments are made that have no Scriptural backing. You (the audience) are treated as mental and philosophical chattle; as of you're no mind of your own and as though these men no longer need to prove their statements with Scripture. I've feel so blessed and uplifted by hearing this! Thank you so much! Would you please lift up my 25-year-old daughter, Madison, in prayer? My only child, she's alienated herself for several years from me & my family since being away at college. I'm in constant warfare prayer, as I believe Satan has, at some point, truly decieved my child either via liberal professors, therapists-in her field of study- which is psychology, etc., etc. God only knows! All I know is that she's become someone that I'm no longer familiar with, and I'm terrified! She was a Christian when she left for school in 2011, but I can look back now and see gradual changes occuring back then. Now, I don't hear anything from her, and she doesn't even respond anymore to my emails. I live everyday with a broken heart!! I SO NEED YOUR PRAYERS for both her & me! Thank you & God bless you!

Truth upon truth, as in a multifaceted state that builds to makes truth even more dynamic. But in no way does any of God’s truths dispel its pure foundation, but rather tends to the fullness thereof by enrapturing truth upon truth until the hierarchy of it is endued within the trusting heart of the believers, so that the process throughout each step may reach its full maturity in us leading to that perfect day.. Does that sound like what he was saying about truth at 27:05?

Regarding God never causing illness or delaying healing - what about John John 9:2-3 & 11:4-6? John 9 2 “Rabbi,” his disciples asked him, “why was this man born blind? Was it because of his own sins or his parents’ sins?” 3 “It was not because of his sins or his parents’ sins,” Jesus answered. “This happened so the power of God could be seen in him. John 11 4 But when Jesus heard about it he said, “Lazarus’s sickness will not end in death. No, it happened for the glory of God so that the Son of God will receive glory from this.” 5 So although Jesus loved Martha, Mary, and Lazarus, 6 he stayed where he was for the next two days.
OK about the prophecy about God waiting to heal because the man's family would receive salvation, I can't help thinking about John 9:1-8: "As he passed by, he saw a man blind from birth. 2 And his disciples asked him, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?” 3 Jesus answered, “It was not that this man sinned, or his parents, but that the works of God might be displayed in him. 4 We must work the works of him who sent me while it is day; night is coming, when no one can work. 5 As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.” 6 Having said these things, he spit on the ground and made mud with the saliva. Then he anointed the man's eyes with the mud 7 and said to him, “Go, wash in the pool of Siloam” (which means Sent). So he went and washed and came back seeing." So it seems like here God is allowing the blindness to continue a while because He has a purpose for it. But I don't think this actually contradicts what the Pastor was saying, though it may seem to. I think that the man who gave the prophecy about the family members getting saved was just not stating his own vision quite correctly. What he should have said is that God was going to give the man two gifts - the healing of his physical body, and the much deeper healing of his family. In His perfect timing He wants to give the deeper and better gift first, and the second one as a confirmation and echo of the first. Similarly in the story in John 9, the gift is that God had chosen this man to be one of the most special people in history, to have his life story demonstrate the glorious love of God to all believers who read the bible. So in that light, the blindness itself is a gift. Its like pastor Johnson said in his overall point - the logic of the Kingdom is backwards from that of the world.
skyhill2000 I was thinking the same thing. Also what about Lazarus. They sent Jesus notice of how sick he was and Jesus could’ve spoken his healing right then but waited so that even greater glory may come through the miracle. I love Bill and this is still a great sermon, but it does seem as though there are times the Lord will allow things in order from more fruit and greater glory to arise.
The issue that Bill was dealing with was causing and/or allowing sickness. He doesn’t cause it, and by saying He allows it is to just blame God for everything that happens to us. It isn’t that He caused it or allowed it - technically, Adam and Eve allowed it and caused it. God’s helping us pick up the pieces.

Charles Mangum - the purpose of praying for the sick in this life is to testify to the truth of John 3:16 and also where the Word says Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil. God wants this world to know that His rule extends into this world, which is why Jesus told us to pray, “thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.”

2 Corinthians 12:7 And least I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of revelation, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure: I did a word search on the word thorn, flesh, messenger, Satan, and buffet. Thorn = a sharp stake, splinter, (something that would pierce the flesh) for that is where the thorn was given in the flesh - flesh meaning in this particular scripture - carnally minded, carnal reasoning, Messenger = meaning envoy or a representative = Satan meaning one that opposes = Buffet means to rap with your fist ::: so we can clearly see that the "Thorn given to Paul in his flesh was but allowed by God for the purpose of keeping him humble before God." .. * Now in our terminology our Western Language - Paul was allowed by God to have a thorn. The thorn and messenger are one and the same. Our carnal reasoning, our carnality is influenced daily constantly (buffet) by this messenger of Satan one that opposes Truth of God's Word. This thorn, this messenger is a representative of Satan. Our fleshly pride will become exalted with such knowledge of such depths of Truth so God allows this thorn or this messenger to buffet us. I count it all joy ...was the statement that Paul used....for Paul understood the intensity the depth of Truth that his eyes of understanding were enlightened to therefore understanding his the nature of flesh he knew what the enemy was purposing for evil, God takes it and makes it for our good when the eyes of our understanding understand God will use this "thorn" in our flesh to keep us humble that prevents us from being "self-righteous" creatures! How many times in a day's time do we fight against our carnal reasoning? Casting down EVERY evil imagination that exalts itself above the knowledge of God ...it IS a battlefield of the mind ...! Paul's thorn was not a sickness, was not bad eyesight ...it was his carnal reasoning influenced by the representative of the one that opposes Truth. In verse 9 Paul uses the word "infirmities" which means "weakness"....Let the weak say I am strong ...this is not a physical weakness it is a weakness of the soul (our five senses that reason per the experience at hand) We all are given a thorn in the flesh to buffet us so that we also as Paul may stay humble before God and not exalt ourselves too highly for the in-depth Truths God reveals to us as we pray/fast/and study His Word. The disability of Paul was not in his physical body but in his five senses (this is our reasoning, our carnal reasoning) that were corrupt and influenced by the representative of Satan, the one that opposes Truth.
Just a question: why use a difficult antiquated Bible translation and then constantly paraphrase so that the young congregation can understand. Perhaps time to speak the Gospel in 21st century English and save time? Imagine if he also spoke in 17th century English and then paraphrased. The koine Greek NT was written in the simplest street Greek of the day.
The will of G'D is written in the Word of G'D! HIS standards are written in the book which you call "Old Testament" - which you claim to be out of order. BUT: Jesus says in the book of revelation chapter 14 vers 12 that we overcome with the word of G'D, the Torah and the blood of Jesus! THIS IS NOTHING BUT A LITTLE PSYCHLOGICAL RAP.

Table Talks - Conversations for Reformation I don’t understand what you mean by I’m hearing what I want to hear. I said did he say if you don’t receive healing straight away then your not a Christian ?
pastor Bill said that Jesus never allowed any sickness or afflictions. i think that's wrong according to these 3 scriptures (and maybe there's more): 2 corinthians 1:5-7 5For just as the sufferings of Christ overflow to us, so also through Christ our comfort overflows. 6If we are afflicted, it is for your comfort and salvation; if we are comforted, it is for your comfort, which accomplishes in you patient endurance of the same sufferings we experience. 7And our hope for you is sure, because we know that just as you share in our sufferings, so also you will share in our comfort.… the other instance is with Paul having a "thorn in his side." 6 Even if I should choose to boast, I would not be a fool, because I would be speaking the truth. But I refrain, so no one will think more of me than is warranted by what I do or say, 7 or because of these surpassingly great revelations. Therefore, in order to keep me from becoming conceited, I was given a thorn in my flesh, a messenger of Satan, to torment me. 8 Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me. 9 But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. 10 That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong. 2 corinthians 12:6-10 and: Jesus Heals the Man Born Blind 1Now as Jesus was passing by, He saw a man blind from birth, 2and His disciples asked Him, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?” 3Jesus answered, “Neither this man nor his parents sinned, but this happened so that the works of God would be displayed in him.… john 9:1-3 in a way in all these cases Jesus allowed sickness because it served good purposes. therefore the dream interpreted as that woman's disease was to benefit her family could be a correct interpretation. without getting into detail, all the above scriptures including the dream interpretation have been a part of my life and me.
Keep on believing what you believe, but remain sick. But, neither go to the doctor nor pray for healing--You might be going against God's will. Also, I never known any sickness to be helpful to anyone; it has always been a detriment. Oh goody, he healed the blind man. From the context of 2 Cor. 12:1-21, his thorn in the flesh was the multitude of problems with the early church, the persecution he suffered, and his opponents, not a supposed sickness. You forgot the second dream.
@@charlesmangum3108 I'm sorry, it is not clear what Paul's thorn in the flesh is. You are speculating. My mother is a cancer survivor and that experience the Lord used to bring her closer to himself. How is that not "helpful?"
@@charlesmangum3108 "Keep on believing what you believe, but remain sick. But, neither go to the doctor nor pray for healing--You might be going against God's will." i have no idea what you're talking about. Also, I never known any sickness to be helpful to anyone; it has always been a detriment. there are so many stories in the Bible that tells of a physical or mental illness was something bad that turned out to be for the good mainly because Jesus healed them. it would take some time for me to compile a list. here is one example: Jesus Heals a Man Born Blind 1 As he went along, he saw a man blind from birth. 2 His disciples asked him, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?” 3 “Neither this man nor his parents sinned,” said Jesus, “but this happened so that the works of God might be displayed in him. John 9:1-3 New International Version (NIV) the key being Jesus' explanation of why he was blind which is "so that the works of God might be displayed in him." Jesus helped this guy, showed the miracle in front of His disciples and made a point - 3 good things. "oh goody he healed a blind man." wow, this seems a little insulting/condescending towards Jesus by belittling the miracle that He did. Paul had problems with the church, persecutions and other things. however, 2 Cor 2:7-10 specifically and only relates to Paul. Paul was given "a thorn in his side" so that he wouldn't be exalted above measure probably either from himself or from others. from verse 9, i think God made Paul weak and/or have a problem so that God could show His perfect strength in/to Paul. except for the exalted reason, this is a little similar to why Jesus healed the man that was blind.
I like this guy. I don’t like how he adds he’s own views and then uses the word of God to justify he’s own interpretations. However, He’s still a great teacher
I think God Himself has impressed upon Bill His own agenda for such a time as this. Bill finds the nuggets in the Word supporting what God is already telling Him.
How can he be a great teacher and add to the Bible. A great teacher preached from the Bible he does not add or interpret . The Bible is not for interpretation it's written in plain English that God perfectly preserved well he did the king James bible not the satanic corrupted ones
The LORD allows sickness, pain, and disease for His purposes. I’m sorry not everyone is supposed to be healed. And are we remembering the lame man whom Jesus healed, and He said that that man was made that way by God to bring glory to His name? I love ya Bill, but let’s widen our perspective a bit and not just see God through what He has done before, but let’s honor and respect the fact that He is here, right now, and His purposes might be completely different/new than anything we might have considered before
Omatmani right, I understand that. But I think it is incredibly narrow minded to assume God wants all people this side of heaven to be healed...obviously He hates sickness and disease, but each person has their portion from the LORD. I don’t know why it’s so hard to think that God might actually allow sickness for His glory, it’s a beautiful thing to me. My personal belief is, God could do anything He wants; the only thing I really know about Him is Who He is, and I trust Him. What happens in my life is up to Him
Omatmani many times when people get healed physically, they end up cutting short God’s purposes in their lives. I have had chronic illness for the past two years, the nature of which was so traumatizing that at first I couldn’t believe it could happen to a child of God. But through it, God has given me an understanding of how desperate I am for Him, which in turn has made me so incredibly grateful and compassionate toward others. Of sickness is what God used to get me there, then I’m glad I didn’t just have a blanket assumption that God wants to heal our bodies all the time, and their is something wrong with our thinking if we don’t experience healing. That is a very debilitating way to think and ignores huge amounts of suffering in the world; it’s part of what led people to produce documentaries like “American Gospel.” So if we just tapered our expectations of what Gods work in our lives would look like, He could do so much more than we ever imagined. But, if you agree with Bill, by all means keep listening and believing what he has to say if it convicts you. I just don’t agree personally based off of my own experience
Jesus died for our sins but in another sense He didn't because we were in Him when He died so we died and were buried as well. Someone explained it like this: He did not die instead of us but died in our stead. Both His death and our death were necessary. And as Romans 4:25 says Jesus was only raised when we were justified. If we were not justified Jesus would still be in the grave for He would not have been a perfect sacrifice.
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world might be saved through Him. The whole emphasis of the story of the blind man since birth can be changed by changing the punctuation which was added but not in the original Greek. In the OT sickness and disease were part of the curse. Sorry, but it was never part of the New Covenant-the one that began at Pentecost for us. But God does allow bad things to happen but that is because He allows what we allow. He said what you remit I will remit and what you retain I will retain and also that we have the keys to the Kingdom. He never, ever left someone in their sick condition. To have done so would have been at cross purposes with what He said He came to do. As to Paul's thorn one of the rules of Bible interpretation is to look at what a statement meant when first used and in the Old Testament in 2-3 places a thorn in the flesh or eyes always clearly referred to people. We miss the point about Paul being exalted. Paul's message needed to be exalted because it was the message of Christ. The Lord even says He will exalt those who humble themselves. Besides the Lord did not say he could not have the thorn removed but He said His grace was sufficient. In other words God has given us power and authority (grace) to deal with situations ourselves. Recall the slave girl who was prophesying and after 3 days Paul cast the demon out. This possibly was the incident he was referring to.

What a gentle yet strong spirit Bill Johnson has . Praise the Lord for his gifting and how he conveys the Lord's power to us.
One of his many great quotes :
" When u believe a lie , you empower the liar and you can spend your life shadow boxing and exhaust yourself fighting something that is not even there " .

Fast and pray. Speak as if it's so my daughter will come to know the Lord in the name of Jesus.

Regarding God never causing illness or delaying healing - what about John John 9:2-3 & 11:4-6?
John 9
2 “Rabbi,” his disciples asked him, “why was this man born blind? Was it because of his own sins or his parents’ sins?” 3 “It was not because of his sins or his parents’ sins,” Jesus answered. “This happened so the power of God could be seen in him.
John 11
4 But when Jesus heard about it he said, “Lazarus’s sickness will not end in death.
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world might be saved through Him.

What about Paul who asked to be healed?
Diana Dawson Paul wasn’t physically afflicted but persecuted by Jews. This kept him from pride.
@@ronwarne7049 Paul never asked to be healed ....he asked if he could be free from the thorn which the word doesn't hint that it was sickness
Was that a sickness? Post scriptures
@@houseworth123 Scriptures never stated that Paul's thorn was sickness ...
THIS IS NOTHING BUT A LITTLE PSYCHLOGICAL RAP.

pastor Bill said that Jesus never allowed any sickness or afflictions. i think that's wrong according to these 3 scriptures (and maybe there's more):
2 corinthians 1:5-7
5For just as the sufferings of Christ overflow to us, so also through Christ our comfort overflows. 6If we are afflicted, it is for your comfort and salvation; if we are comforted, it is for your comfort, which accomplishes in you patient endurance of the same sufferings we experience. 7And our hope for you is sure, because we know that just as you share in our sufferings, so also you will share in our comfort.…
the other instance is with Paul having a "thorn in his side."
6 Even if I should choose to boast, I would not be a fool, because I would be speaking the truth.
2 corinthians 12:6-10

Keep on believing what you believe, but remain sick. But, neither go to the doctor nor pray for healing--You might be going against God's will. Also, I never known any sickness to be helpful to anyone; it has always been a detriment. Oh goody, he healed the blind man. You forgot the second dream.

there are so many stories in the Bible that tells of a physical or mental illness was something bad that turned out to be for the good mainly because Jesus healed them. it would take some time for me to compile a list. here is one example:
Jesus Heals a Man Born Blind
1 As he went along, he saw a man blind from birth. 2 His disciples asked him, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?”
3 “Neither this man nor his parents sinned,” said Jesus, “but this happened so that the works of God might be displayed in him.
John 9:1-3 New International Version (NIV)
the key being Jesus' explanation of why he was blind which is "so that the works of God might be displayed in him." Jesus helped this guy, showed the miracle in front of His disciples and made a point - 3 good things.
"oh goody he healed a blind man."
wow, this seems a little insulting/condescending towards Jesus by belittling the miracle that He did.
Lisa: Then you need to get down on knees and find out what His will. Just ask the Father what He wants to be for me for this time. He will tell you.
I like this guy. I don’t like how he adds he’s own views and then uses the word of God to justify he’s own interpretations. However, He’s still a great teacher
I would say his views are not his own. He simply beliefs with conviction what scripture actually says.
I love ya Bill, but let’s widen our perspective a bit and not just see God through what He has done before, but let’s honor and respect the fact that He is here, right now, and His purposes might be completely different/new than anything we might have considered before
But He still healed the man. Just saying.
I just don’t agree personally based off of my own experience
.
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world might be saved through Him. If you shall confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved. Whoever shall call upon the name of the Lord, shall be saved. For we are redeemed by the blood of the Lamb. If you shall confess your sins, God is faithful and just to forgive you of your sins AND to cleans you from all unrighteousness. Call upon the Lord and confess your sins to Him. Make him your Lord and bow your knee to Him.
Oh, please remain sick.
@@charlesmangum3108 Not sure I understand the last sentence about remaining sick. Would you elaborate please?
Thank the Lord you ran across me. I will add your name to my prayer list. I will that Jesus baptize you in the Holy Spirit with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues and that you attend Bill Johnson's church as a member.

@@charlesmangum3108 Yes, it is good to meet another brother in Christ. That is always a blessing but beyond that I am confused as to what your point is. I have been baptized in the Spirit for 48 years and do speak in tongues and cherish the gift. God is good!
Praise God. I'm human.I was brought up in the Church of God. Now I am in the AOG.
What??!?! 7:51
“Why would the Lord want US sinners to approve HIS will?!”
This teaching is corrupt. We don’t approve or disapprove anything God Does or wants to do. We are but a speck of dust. God is sovereign and Holy. Who are we to approve anything?!
The way is narrow.
Your not a sinner..your a new creation ...born of God
Amen bill johnsons a wolf in sheeps clothing. . They do new age stuff all over that church. Its far from christian
jack and you would know because you physically been there and seen it for yourself??
Clearly he isn’t referring to the generic term of approving of something or someone. Did you even listen to the analogy he used? Maybe it’s over your head to understand.
@@ariehmurphy1510I live in Redding CA . Seen plenty of his sermons and have been around alot of his followers. The influence of bethel in this city is toxic. They are at constant war with the natives here on policy and buildings /infrastructure etc. "The bethel kids" known around the commuity always act like they have the key to the universe ....not very humble people. That and alot of them practice white magic and do fortune/mind reading "angel cards" etc... I rest my case . TO ANSWER YOUR QUESTION THOUGH no i have not attended a service there nor would i ever. This randomly came up in my youtube auto play lol.

@@charlesmangum3108 don't need you to be my idol. I've already done that and confess it regularly.
You have no idea why I said what I have but God knows.
He who has eyes to see let him see.
First of all, if you thought I am your idol, think again. I am no one's idol. Secondly, it sounds to me that you need to make sure that you know Jesus Christ. @@charlesmangum3108 ok Charles. Have you watched this video? Like just watch, I'm not asking you to listen, Infact it be great to get insight from someone who is deaf, I'm sure there feedback would be worthwhile.
How often does he walk round his Bible?
He looks at it, laughs at it, even walks away from it at any chance he gets but because he babbles and your itching ears hear what you want to hear you think it's good.
If you are deaf, you are interpreting his laughter out of context; thus, you are misjudging him. He is not a charlatan. He is for real and God is really using him and Bethel.
