No. Mithril seeds force your character one tile west, if possible. A very common method of escaping in singles is “freeze-logging”. Which is like what we see here, character A freezes character B, then stands underneath them, and since the logout timer is 10 seconds without being in combat, and a freeze lasts longer than that (14.4 seconds for entangle and 19.2 seconds for ice barrage) character A should almost always be able to log out. So character B seeds to get out from underneath A, trying to hit them with anything really, just to reset the logout timer, then the freeze ends, and B has a chance to freeze again or ko A. People are very aware of seeding, so sometimes they will try to walk at the exact same time as the other player seeds, thus preventing B from hitting A, thus not keeping them in combat, thus allowing them to logout. There’s a bit more than that to it, but that’s the majority of how seeding works. There’s also adamant seeds which work the same except they move you east instead of west.
