Talk about a game that achieves that ever-elusive "total immersion..." This is a good reason why you should make sure that your stuff is given a thorough examination & maintenance on a regular basis. Any electronic system, no matter how modern & cutting edge it may be, parts eventually wear out; the device either goes completely dead or starts glitching.
My gaming PC is a prime example actually. I know my graphics card is failing, not much I can do about it right now unfortunately, and the best I can do is try to keep it under 90c until I can replace it. Can't really blame much else on the frequent BSOD's and AMD driver failure messages I get lmao

Actually I think there have been so many disappointing launches over the last decade that a good amount of people don't grab the shiny new console when it releases. I give it at least a year to work out the kinks. 2 for good measure unless it has a game I really want to play.

So, Dr. Wondertainment is probably Loki. He can make reality-bending systems, systems that can easily warp reality itself, but they are somehow vulnerable to normal tech decay? I smell intentional mischief. That smell seems to happen a lot when "Wondertainment" is involved.
Of course it's Wondertainment! And surprisingly non-lethal by intention and somewhat fool-proofed... yes, in the end it broke, but at least it had no intentional threat or an oversight so clear in sight that the only way it could pass is by intention. If I remember, some even have disclaimers about wondertainment not being responsible for something, if my memory serves me right.

Useless Fact: I remember an episode of the old, original Muppet Babies cartoon from my chldhood where they had a Pretendo console. No reality altering, but, same name.
This is awesome although the PlayStation version already exists it was called the popstation , that was the prototype they where testing, the problem was since it was a portable game and if it was used outside would distort time and reality of the whole world, some times would just delete some parts of the world, and was difficult turning off and coming out of the reality bending affects it had on everything else besides the person playing it, worked good indoors but that was what the pretendo was for, so they canned the project but not before a few prototypes made it out, hopefully they will cover it next!
