My grandparents
I remember how I found this song. I was sat in the back of my grandads car, listening to BBC radio Lancashires country set on a Sunday from 2pm, I was so taken a back emotionally by what I was hearing that I started uncontrollably welling up and before I knew it, I was crying. I tried to hide it, but I couldn't. My grandad thought I was upset over something but I was just so touched by the song I couldn't help it. I love it more and more each time I listen to it.

Most of the Lyrics of this song seem to fit my life, so well. It reminds me that I'm so Overly Blessed. Every time I listen to this song, I want to move on to his Gospel Songs but, I get stuck on this one. There Must be a way of playing it in a Loop, as I used to do with something that I really liked. As it is now, i continue to go back and hit the replay button. Katie, you need to tell your Grandad, how you feel about this song. There's a good chance that he feels the same, or similar. If it's too emotional to say the words write them down, and give them to him, when you feel like it. He should treasure your note, letter.

It's sad how country music is blending into mainstream pop. It's rare that you hear new songs like this nowadays.
I'm from the UK and it's the first time I've heard this song or for that matter Alan Jackson, but really impressed with his songs, especially this one as I'm 74 and my wife of 54 years tells me I was handsome back then, not sure what she thinks now haha!

My best friend died at the age of 54 on january 22. We played this song at his funeral. His daughters birthday was on March 4th. She turned 9. Sometimes it's hard to accept Gods plans!
