Seems like the fix to Ariana would be, if instead of her passive where you get 1 less spice and a draw from going to mining spots, you *may* pay 1 spice for one draw when you go to mining spots. Her ring would be good, but still not even the best in the game, and her passive would occasionally provide a mild benefit. It would make her a playable, mid-tier leader I think, with some nice advantages for some boards.
I played a bit of ariana this season, and it honestly didnt feel too bad, when there are no competing deckbuilding-leaders. The problem is propably that there arent really any early-game lines, ariana can go for (no fast swordmaster, 2 cost tech, fast spaceing friedship and no imperium row access), that give her an edge over other players.
I think Ix is Ariana 's worst mode. She's better when she can play experimentations to desert spaces, and she's better with uprising 's water scarcity. Ix she's just bad.

I would like to try this. She does pretty alright in immortality though, so my group would never let me homebrew this

In Base game, I think she's actually very good alongside Helena. In my experience anyway.
I think relatively, she is bad to the top tier. amongst the B tier she still has a chance
The problem with the spoilers in the front is that i know what happened during the next two videos and i dont wanna watch it spoiled. Lol. 😢

Haha. I think this game highlights some of Arianna pitfalls. You have to understand the losses to know how to win
I would love for the card draw to be pay a spice for a draw so it would be optional

Rise of Ix doesn't really care as much about water as the base game or presumably other expansions... so yeah, it's bad.
