- This video is about my life in the dormitory here in Hungary in Veres Peter Dormitory. I really liked filming this video)

I spent pleasant holidays at this place in the summer of 1984 and 1987, in July. I was crossing a forest on the right of the photo to go to the thermal baths. It was magnificent. Thank you for this beautiful video

Why did you choose Debrecen and not Budapest? Can you talk about the disadvantages and vantages of these cities? I'm applying for a MSc and I don't know if it is better to live in Debrecen or Budapest
Hi there!
It really depends on person. I chose Debrecen because it’s much more cheaper, university students friendly and nice town. Budapest is too big and I personally don’t like big cities. Debrecen is like a student town. Everything is for university students, but some people don’t like Debrecen because it’s too quite and there is not much fun.

Hey😂 it’s called Szaraz. When you choose the options, choose the minutes + szaraz. But, also a tip if you are using the dryer use the big washing machine(middle one😂) as the small washing machine’s dryer is not good.

hello , firstly, appreciate the video, second I have some questions . Does the university have single rooms ? where is the bathroom ? does it have a bidet ? what about the shower room ? and do they provide kitchenware do I have to bring it myself ?
Hello. Yes, there are dorms where you can get a single room. The bathroom is outside of the room shared between the students. Shower room is also shared. They don’t provide anything. You need to buy your own stuff
As a scholarship holder is the dorm payed by the Uni… ?
Hell no ! This dormitory is way better than dormitories of Budapest.do you study there under scholarship? Like international students under scholarship have separate dorms.
Wish I could apply here but unfortunately it doesn't offers BA Accounting and Finance under stipendium hungaricum.

Do dormitories provide any luggage storage rooms? I am flying to my home country from June to September, I have too much luggage (Iron, Tea Pot, Hair Dryer, hangers, extra blankets, and pillows) and wanted to keep it somewhere for three months until I come back. I live in one of the Lajos Kossuth dormitories and planning to renew my contract for the next semester as well. 🙏

Yes, we have 2 bathrooms on every floor. Every bathroom has like 4 toilets

Well, basically you can stay during the winter holidays, but you have to move out in summer and if you want to continue staying at the dorm you need to reapply

Dormitory is fully paid by my scholarship program.
About the affordable rooms near the university, you can rent an apartment with friends and split the price

Yes, you definitely can apply for stipendium hungaricum. You usually have to study the entire bachelor program which can be from 3 to 5 years

Hey there! Definitely go for ELTE, but also Corvinus is really good in CS. Debrecen is not nice , but honestly they are better in medicine and science more than in CS.

hey! i'm seriously considering applying to mechanical engineering in university of Debrecen as an international student. Do you have any advice, because I don't see anyone talking about the engineering department
I wanna know.. After getting a scholarship you will book a dorm on yourself so they will pay for it or they do all the stuff themselves and show you the dorm.. Hope you will understand .
hey! well, basically after getting the Scholarship you need to apply for dorm and if you get a place it will be paid by the Scholarship. Overall, the dormitories are working according to the rule " first come first serve" so you need to apply quickly of you want a place in the dorm. otherwise you will have to rent a place/apartment and the Scholarship gives 40000 HUF for that.

Hello! Yes, all of the dorms have security and also most of the dorms will give you a special card that opens the main entrance door.

Hey there! Yes, I do. The dormitory is called the campus hotel and is considered as one of the best dormitories among the dorms here in Debrecen.
