@@brsby4 i believe it doesnt matter in that case, sometimes it does but this was a world championship its not like world cups or european cups, championships are the highest level competitions, but i mean there might still have been more french judges then other ones, so ur argument is half valable half unvalid

but honestly according to the current rules of rnr, both couples should have a similar footwork notation, as for choregraphy it mostly depends on judges and for acrobatics, the french couple clearly has higher notations so yeah, also this discipline isnt fair when going to competitions, the notations wont be the same between two judges, not because they are not following the rules but because first of all everyone has their own "oppinion" on what is primordial and what isnt, also the dance is incredibly fast and sometimes its really hard cuz ur not able to playback the dance, and then alot of factors affect judges indirectly, for example this dance was the last one (u can see on the screen heat 7/7) that may not look like a big deal but depending on who was dancing before it can affect judges by comparaison, maybe certains couples could have different notations if the heat order was different, and then finnaly and obviously, a part of the notation is based on the point of view of judges so they may prefer certains styles to others even if technicaly speaking its not "better"
and to give an idea, the second place couple, Marty Delatorre and Ophélie Portillo pretty much always had a divided footwork notation, some judges will say its the best footwork ever, and some will say that its not a valid footwork and doesnt follow the rules, honestly it really depends on what the judges think but its understandable has marty has this thing where when he pulls back his foot from a kick he bends his ground leg, wich gives the "illusion" that he jumps very high, and all tho its not clearly said in the rules, a part of RNR dancer/teachers/judges believe that the ground leg should be as stretched as possible, neither of thoses point of view is the "right one" but both exists theres nothing that allows us to tell what is right or wrong appart from our own experience or oppinion, thats why this couple has different notations depending on judges or location of competitions
