Yeah this day was fuckin bullshit. Del Mar should have just refunded everyone's money for the day. Average crowds my ass. Took my family and I nearly 4 hours to get to del mar in general from Escondido.
3 hours to get home from Del Mar to Encinitas through Carmel Mtn Fairbanks and RSF LMAO bumper to bumper / i-5 was slammed / el camino was slammed / & 101 / lmao it was a nightmare EVERYWHERE
@@beemayoral9178 its based on preference and what you can afford. I don’t mind taking the shuttles. I parked at the Horse Park for $10 and it was a 4 min ride. The school parking is free but further away. Parking inside the fair grounds is more expensive.
Lots of city, county, federal and other govt. employees were off today. So I am sure it did play into it. I went to a city basketball gym to play with my son and it was closed for the day.
Is Juneteenth the celebration of the 13th Amendment (R)? Then we should also get April 15th off to celebrate the 16th Amendment (D) - both have to do with slavery.

There are too many people in San Diego. Becoming an overpriced, overcrowded shitty city
What holiday?
I went on Sunday (first weekend) for this exact reason 😅 No lines for shuttle, rides or food.
Do you suggest to park on site or take a shuttle from another parking?

We turned around somewhere, Carmel Mt Road or so, and went to the zoo instead.
Traffic was backed up all the way to Temecula area
Dude I was there- and we were in terrible traffic like we stayed in traffic for like an hour or more..
And this is the reason I don't go to the Del Mar Fair or Christmas on the Prado any longer.
Yea we live 10 minutes away but it took 2 hours to get there
💀💀💀💀💀
I never seen Del Mar so packed 2.5 hrs just to drive through. WTH was going on over there Traffic from exit to LA Jolla.
The gas station lines were so long, those with EV's completed charging their cars before the ICE cars could even get to the pumps lol
Juneteenth didn’t have anything to do with people attending the fair

@@malcorub all that tells me is that more people were on the roads. Doesn’t mean anything concerning the fair attendance.
@@tvviewer4500 banks, financial institutions, post offices... you underestimate how many people had the day off because of the new federal holiday.
@@malcorub and all of these people decided to use their day off to attend the fair? What kind of mental illness do you have?
😅😂 took me 28 minutes to get in and 15 minutes to get out. Stayed until close
Just part of the family fun going to San Diego County Fair on Juneteenth.
