Beautiful! It looks like it was inspired by a Gustav Klimt painting. Thank you for this incredible way to use up scraps and thanks to Kate at the Last Homely House for the connection to your channel!
Visual joy! This inspires me to try again after many years, but I don't have scraps. Part of the beauty is that this a map of where you've been and the body of work you've created. ❤️
Btw, the table flannel and roll up with blocks is a great idea- never thought of this! How helpful- I don’t have the space to do this with my tiny apartment- thanks a million
Great explanation. I've no design wall or floor space that big (living in a typical small English semi detached house), but your method is adaptable. You've given me idea for EEP shapes I'm gradually gathering. I'd a bit of an idea of moving from hue to hue but think I've now got a better grasp on how to do it. I've not got a volume of scraps as not been quilting very long but I like how your blocks are made and put together. I came to you via Pat Sloan, I'm glad I did. Thank you
Kate at the Last Homely House also directed me to your channel. I love what you're doing. In examining your beautiful quilt I noticed the way the colors seemed to reflect light and shadow in interesting ways. So, for example, it reminded me of a big city as the sun was rising or setting. Some buildings would be lit sooner (or later) than others. Some windows were lit and others were dark. It gives my brain a lot to think about! I am retiring at the end of the year and I will have more time to devote to my quilting. I will look forward to making a quilt along these lines. Thank you for generously sharing your ideas and methods! Keep making videos! You do a great job and I expect you have much more to share...
this way of setting up and laying out the quilt squares on this table cloth and then rolling it with a paper tube or pool noodle is such a wonderful idea! I am working on a kawandi right now and I am planning to hand sew it all but even this gives me an idea of laying it out since I actually had cut out and planned my squares to make a traditional quilt before I learned about kawandi and fell in love. Thanks for all the helpful tips for making these beautiful quilts, especially for myself since I am new to quilting :)
