AMR was my first real Investment in a single Company so far.. I bought the stock back in june because oft it’s low valuation compared to fcf. Sold After the hike at around 230$ with 60% Return.
In my opinion the stock is now at fair value maybe little bit above.
After reading lots of books about value investing and watching your videos Sven, let me tell you, it felt just amazing to have my own first successful Investment and see with my own eyes that value investing actually works!

Value investing means buy and hold not sell after three months. You are still learning.

Issue with CROX is the acquisition of HeyDude's. They way overpayed imho. The core brand is just fine I think. Decent growth, especially in Asia and seems to be on the verge of becoming a kind of lifestyle product (personally can't fathom why but whatever)
You nailed it. Crox will have stable demand from folks who want cheap, comfortable footwear for occupations or hobbies, e.g. nurses, stylists, people who use boats or swimming pools
Svem, why the "analysts" in SeekingAlpha are so low quality in term of fundemental analysis? Its really bad.
it is not about quality, it is about writing articles and getting paid for that, the incentive is wrong. SA is not good for analysis, it is good to get info on which you do your own analysis :-) By reading 20 articles, you pretty much get all what matters with a company!

I have to write that book first, but that will come after about 5 to 10 years focusing on the research platform first :-)

You can't go wrong with Ben Graham's The Intelligent Investor. It was my first book on investing and really shaped how I view it. Also, I highly recommend Howard Mark's "The most important thing" and his memos. Sven's series on Margin of Safety is also good but maybe less accessible, I'm not sure.
Thanks again Sven for the content I’m a platform member here and own Crox and AMR sold at a profit today. The Hey dude Brand was a bad buy for Crox but they do have a moat IMO much of my generation and even more so the younger generations really love those ugly shoes and are even considered collectible he he ;) 😅

Tyler mentioned DEC (Diversified Energy Company PLC) and would be interested how you look at the company because the fact they hedge makes it more complicated to analyse.
Hi Sven, do you maintain your opinion about Intel, I remember you said it was a trap value or should drop more due to its debt and loss in earning but it raising like 50% since beginning of the year....another think is the next Sunday are Argentinian's elections I guess the current economy minister will be elected , I mean Argentinian stocks are going to drop and the Blue Dollar will got to 1500 pesos per dollar (today is around 900 pesos per dollar)

Monish doubled his AMR Invest… and Guy Spier is thinking about investing in the long term. So why are you so negative on the long term perspective of AMR, Consol and Arch?
because those are cyclicals, usually after a shortage, there is a glut...
@@Value-Investing It's uncharted territory and I'm struggling to define AMR.. - is AMR a cyclical? If yes it would be tied to Coal prices and steel and the globale economy . Yet it simply seems to be going up without a cealing, likely due to Mohnish owning it and the incredible repurchases (30% of company repurchased in last year). So is it a cyclical? I don't know, and don't know what the fair value is.
It still appears cheap even today at 1x sales! Then again it appeared cheaper when it was trading for 0.02x sales in 2020. Those who bought then got a hundred bagger.
When to sell? Hold for ever? one shouldn't hold cyclicals .. but is this a cyclical?
