Did you agree with my points? Have you got other things you would like to see upon release? Let me know in the comments below. Most importantly, have a great day!
I really like you're channel but this game I can not like it. The driving is ok but it's too kid like game. And one thing trucks need are Jake breaks or engine brakes witch ever you want to call it. Also American trucks would have been a better choice.. a real air horn and better exhaust sound. I really fill like people might get this game but then relies it's not what they want. Or might play it for a few months then stop playing. It's not one of them games that keep you wanted to play.. I'm not being negative just being honest.
Thanks as always for the video Jason! We think you make some very good points and you have some interesting suggestions. We'll definitely be reading the comments section to see what everyone thinks, and use it to improve Truck Driver! :)
Could you guys make it possible to use a control while using a steering wheel? I play other games that allow that and it helps massively. Being able to look around freely (with auto center) and have additional buttons makes a huge difference. In Mud Runner both are usable but only one at a time and it drives me crazy. When looking around the control overrides the wheel and pedals so if fighting up a hill you lose control. I have been following Truck Driver since it was announced and I can't wait to see the final product and finally at long last play it!! Thank you guys so much for hearing what the community wants to see.
I agree with all points in the video these little thing will make your experience a hole lot better. As a long time console player and big simulator fan this game needs the little things.
PS4 player here. I agree with literally every point in the video. Changes to parking, refueling, resting, and rumble strips would drastically increase immersion. Having the ability to choose HUD mirrors, adding a camera centering button, and the ability to reassign controls would all be quality improvements. Great video, and thanks for listening!
Just to many basics things missing or no thought put into it. Rest stops out of place, No reversing sounds, Rumble Strips with no sound why even mess with making them then, Not one single other truck on the road in a trucking game, The little car horn. I'll take Bus Sim and wait and see if Truck Driver even bothers to fix the little things that should have been worked out months ago.
I totally agree with Jason's comments. This would all help to make the game more interesting especially for the first truck driver game on console in history and A lots of people would love to see this.
Definitely agree with all of them points you made Jason I would like to see some roadworks just a few cones/barriers on the road to make you stop or giveway to traffic would make the journey a bit more realistic looking forward to this game I think SOEDESCO will support the game it has so much potential
Yes the parking is one of the main problems for me personally. I want to be able to see my skills improve in actually backing the truck. On the the live stream I asked about it. I just don't think the Devs know how important that this is to a trucking game is the parking and backing of the truck itself.I like your Idea of making the markers one way of parking which to me should be a simple change. Also the future of the game with DlC is a worry too.
The devil is in the detail and there seems like a lot of detail is missing. I love the concept but it could fall short of expectations. The closest comparison would be Euro Truck on PC which, in fact isn't a fair comparison but, nonetheless it's where expectations are. Too many gaps need filling. Good on them and I shall be waiting to see what the final version delivers! Thanks for the vid, Jase. You hit the nail on the head with this one.
Spot on. I cancelled my pre-order after seeing the stream properly because there are just too many basics missing from the game. There's a limit to how often the small developer excuse can be used and I really don't like that everything is a "maybe" and depends on how well the game does at launch. The fact that the game doesn't even have functioning wipers was such a disappointment.
Totally agree with the points you made also i think height, width and weight restrictions would increase the route variation with different loads and make you plan routes rather than just following the satnav.
Loading gamez this and the map being absolutely too small kills it for me. Maybe I’m just spoiled with ETS but i can’t immerse myself into this game with it being so barren
Thanks Jason great video as always. I've pre ordered this game but now thinking of cancelling it and getting bus simulator as its sounds like a lot of basic game content is missing as the truck sim world is basic level set at euro truck sim on pc this game is missing a lot of basics as everything you've said in this video should be standard in any truck sim game being made today this is falling well short of what most people will be expecting. I bet if you go into any gaming shop a couple of days after release this game will be traded in so much it will need its own shelf if they don't listen to all your points as you have done a very good job at looking at this game and all your points are spot on as always so thanks for the heads up and I will be watching closely what happens by the games maker. Looking forward to your next video please keep us posted on what feed back you get from the makers would be interesting to see if they actually listen to you and everyone else on here making comments. Have a great day
This video is spot on 👍 I think the only other thing to mention is having to cycle through all the camera views to switch view. I'm really on the fence whether to cancel my preorder and wait.
I think you’ve covered a very good amount of necessary features/improvements needed for this to be a positively received game. Great video Jase, hopefully Sodesco take these points on board even if not all of them are ready day one. 👍
Yes I agree with you 100% however one topic you did not talk about was the dash board lights. Now in one of SOEDESCOs streams they were playing at night time and the headlights light on the dashboard could be reduced, brightness wise just a idea so that it’s not blinding while your driving down the road.
Cracking video Jason, very very informative. I've made my mind up and for me it's bus sim all the way. I think I'll avoid truck driver until it's been out a few months and I've watched your vids a bit more. Keep up the good work sir
Excellent video. Agree with every point you made - constructively given and not at all unreasonable or unrealistic. Added to your points, I would like the option to choose which side of the road the map uses. As a UK resident, I'd prefer left had drive traffic. Also, the game is very quiet. I'd like to hear the engine of the truck more, even from inside the cab. These points added to yours would create so much more immersion, especially with an increase in density and variety of AI traffic. As it stands, this for me would not be a full price purchase. I would wait until there's a deal on or something, because Bus Sim looks a more polished game and more appealing.
It definitely needs more trucks in the game just like euro truck simulator and put some buses in there because there are trucks in bus simulator. Also needs countryside and farm animals and it needs airplanes in the sky.
I would love to save up enough money to buy other trucks where I can hire drivers to carry loads. You could make decisions on what drivers to hire and fire and help you to go from inheriting a truck to starting your own company. Maybe having a limit of 4 drivers we could hire. I also notice the weather doesn't change much. I would love to have more weather scenarios that we could drive in like heavy rain and snow.
A lot Darker night visuals,When it’s pitch black with no street lights, better engine noises,Truck noises,Road noises,Field of view adjusting,That needs to be a thing asap! Other than that your points are spot on 👍🏼 Looking forward to this game anyway,They will work on it through the years and months 😎 also:Gta has a great camera first person system that auto lock in the middle of your car again
FamousVoices I’m sure it’ll be worked on it’s the first Truck game here on consoles ,Also Bus simulator doesn’t look right also in terms of vehicle behaviour and speed,It is bizarre but they can only start small and work big,People gotta invest in it otherwise they will not go big and better,We have to support them
Jason, I enjoyed listening to your opinions about what you would like to see in Truck Driver at launch, and agree that these are requirements that the game should have to make the game polished on release date, I was also interested to listen to what you would hope they would do after launch, to expand the title and maybe add new maps and new trucks, etc, I do hope Soedesco do listen to what you have to say, and take it on board, as you have asked for what most people including myself want from the game, this game obviously would be no where near ETS2 as a title, but could have a lot of great potential on the PS4 and XBOX ONE, If Soedesco do expand on the game in the future, after launch, and it would be very nice to know what their plans are.
Hi Jay everything u sead is spot on but id love the same as euro truck were u can have ur own business and u got a garage were u can store ur trucks and if u got a few trucks u can hire staff and get them too do jobs I do hope thay think about adding mods so we can get a real sat nav and be able too travil too Europe and America like euro truck and too have real brands and real company names im going too get bus sim first because I love the multiplayer and haveing ur own company
I can live with the smaller map and lack of other trucks on the road, but as for the basic 'core' principals of "truck driving" like refueling or rest stops seems like a MASSIVE oversight, as for the apocalyptic roads devoid of life, another issue...it's like the environment is the key player in a game based around driving an HGV, doing deliveries....it's the main aspect of what the gameplay loops are about. From a tech point of view, we've had a couple of console 'sims' that have had screen tare issues, but they have been resolved...I really hope this isn't a day one issue, as that coupled with the other current short comings have really dented my excitement for the game...I mean look at how Farming Sim and Train Sim World actually give you an authentic and as realistic as possible, a simulation of the focused task at hand...train driving and working the land with farm machinery....the parking model you demonstrated is laughable if it's left like that, but I'm feeling there are too many little details missing for this to even give console gamers that truck sim feel, no rumble strips or reversing horn, this is basic stuff, if you want to make the world believable where the apparent technology of a console limits the volume of traffic, then you need to double down on the small details you can add. Their obvious take on future support is a bit of a killer too, granted if the game sells well the return will make it worth it, but by not fleshing out the base game to start with will ultimately effect those initial sales, so are they saying it's doomed to be supported from the off? Starting to feel like a catch 22 situation - yes we will add to it, but not if sales are poor, but the game could launch with all these issues we've seen without being addressed and the gaming public will drop this, then it will never get addtional support....I wait with gritted teeth and fingers crossed it doesn't bomb
You have covered everything that I think should be included ie sleep stations parking refuelling and more a1 traffic including diversions due to accidents burst pipes and just road works
I have a steering wheel for the ps4 but as it's not a thrustmaster wont know if it is compatible until I actually try it when the game arrives it works on f1 16 we will see
Been looking forward to this game for a while now but some of the things that has been spoke about i think these are a must in this game . There a couple of things that i would also like to see and that is being able to adjust seating position . Also a radio where your able to put your own music on a play list and the last is being able to open your window , making the engine , road noise loader with the sound of wind past the window ..
Would just like to add, I've just watched a 13 min bus sim video, within seconds the amount of AI vehicles including trucks jumped out at me. The realism feel was there for sure, let's hope truck driver devs read these comments. Nothing like driving on empty roads to kill a game.
Thanks for the video Jason! When I first saw this game I was wanting to get this but as time went on I felt more and more that the game is lacking quite a lot. I agree with your points and as such I will be passing on this unless they can add the things you have mentioned. Looks like my only sim this month is Bus Driver.
Trucking isnt only about driving. Maneauvering onto a dockshelter/door is on of the many aspects. I would like to see this besides other stuff instead of just drop off a trailer. As someone who's been driving for more than 15 years on a truck and more than 25 years of gaming i noticed the game is barebone, there is so much stuff to add . It's a shame because I really want it too succeed. Imo it would be best to delay the game for a short while and add more detailed stuff, but it's probably a financial thing to release it now. I will wait for the reviews before buying (or not) this one. Great vid Jason.
Completely agree with this , it doesn't look nearly ready enough for a release so soon, bugbear delayed wreckfest for a whole year but what we do have now is a solid game on console with a lot of good reviews, this game has fantastic potential but releasing it as it is I think will kill th game
Great points Jason. All these little things are needed just to make it feel more immersive and real. Watched soedesco live stream and they mention you and watch your videos on it. I've pre ordered truck driver already and cant wait. In time I think this game could have the potential to grow if they want it to.
Most of the things you mentioned I agree with. The only thing I hate is a game where their is way to much grinding to get an upgrade or they make a game so hard to play that you gotta do it over and over again until you get it right. To much grinding will turn me off a game in a hurry!!!. So please a have a easy, normal or hard if you want to make it harder to park
Totally agree on everything especially the parking of trailer definitely need loading bays to reverse onto and tucked away parking areas. That for me is a major part of the game and as a truck driver the positioning of the trailer is sooo important
Great vid would love to see a lot of those things in the game before launch it would make it more enjoyable to play so fingers crossed they can give us what where asking of them
I'm kinda concerned that the Dev team have pushed their limits way over their abilities, in saying that they may just maybe be able to make a great game out of this..........I hope
everything you said feels like its absolute necessary, otherwise it will be a dumpster fire. those are some massive flaws if you ask me. im quite a bit shocked lol anyway, a feature i would like to be added is spotify integration that acts like an internal radio. i know i could just play it in the background, but that takes away atmosphere, and a truck driving game is all about atmosphere for me. (on second thought tha
Everything you mentioned in the video i think is spot on and a great start to get the game polished up. I agree it does need to look more busy with not just vehicles but with people walking around making the towns look like their being used. And on any road you see road works.
I only want to buy truck driver to use with my wheel so if it has full wheel support e.g being able to look left and right use the indicators and the horn little things like that it will keep me playing the game for a lot longer than what I would if I don’t have that stuff
I couldn’t agree more with all your points Jason this will help with the immersions such as stopping and engine off to refuel stopping in a sleep zone engine off aswell all the things you have mentioned need to be sorted if we are all to buy this game and support it long term
Beginning to waver now about purchasing this game even after folloing its progress for weeks. The lack of being able to look left and right when using a steering wheel is a major issue for me. I have the use of only one arm hand, so need the ability to look each way with a wheel. I completely agree with all the points you make, so those issues on top of the above is causing doubt for me. Looking into the future, surely this sim could happily take on, on line multi play. Allowing players to team together to form transport companies and compete for on line contracts Maybe racing teams that move multiple trailers or support vehicles to large cranes. Maybe job offers when on line so that the transport companies could try you out. The oossabilites of this sim in the future, could be absolutely huge, but first, please guys get the views with the wheel sorted do I can purchase it. Disability is not fun.
Great vid as usual Jason and all very valid points made. In it's current state, it's not for me. A small map, we could be positive about it and look at that as just the beginning of a big map in the future but a small map with very little in the way of challenging game play...that's got a hefty boredom factor. Does that lead to a bigger map with not much in the way of content? That would be a pointless road to drive down ( see what I did there ). Maybe starting off as a novice and building up in difficulty type scenario. It needs 'stuff', tweaks. Small map is fine but needs a level of difficulty
Great video mate, and it’s really good to see the devs in the comments taking things on board. I’m really want to support the game at launch as console needs a truck game. I’m just hoping that it’s not too overshadowed by Bus Sim which is definitely looking the better game of the two so far.
Great video, very informative! I passed on the last racer they published due to lack of polish and the Nintendo Switch photo issue on the eShop. I really want this to be a good game and become a ongoing IP. I will wait for reviews.
Very Small Map! Smells like 1000 dlc s, i must wait 1 year to buy a full version of the game? (GOTY edition) Great video! I agree in everything but the map, so not a game to buy on release date.
Why do you sleep for 4 hrs when at a sleep station...9hrs is the current minimum requirements by law for daily rest or 45mins break after 4 1/2hrs driving?
Great vid jason, I'm not buying this now cos theres NO WAY any of your points will have been addressed since you got this build 2 months ago. No way, no way at all. Nuh huh. Let's all just see shall we? 😄
Oh wait. One of the first things you say in the video is that they may have already sorted some of this stuff. I must have missed that small and yet vital detail.
I would like to see exhaust smoke coming out of the exhausts . And I agree with all of the things you have said that should be in game and hope to see in the future. I for one can not wait for this game to drop so excited 😃👍
Too be honest their only one thing in would like them to put into the game.is maybe in the future when the game has been released is a feature were you can have a built in Sat navigation in the cab
Very good points you mentioned, in fact they just have to compare it with ets2 and make it even better than that. But if they don't change this point this game will be a disappointment.
I've been looking for a game that is different from the usually action games that i play and a few months ago I saw this advertised on Amazon. After finding your channel this week I've watched all your videos on Truck Driver and just love the game and will be getting it this month. Another game I have never heard of until I saw it on this site is Bus Simulator, that is now on my to buy list too. I hope you will be playing Truck Driver from the start when it comes out on the 19th
I just have one suggestion on improving it I know you guys are doing your best I respect that. If you don't mind my suggestion please please add the air simulation sound of the truck when shifting and use of engine brakes. Makes the game be very realistic you do know that's the fan part of it right? 🤭Funny I haven't seen any comments about it. . Thank you so much keep up the spirit
I totally agree Jason with your comments thay seriously need to up the ai cars and sedesco need to say we will be doing a DLC in the future for maps etc i know its not euro truck simulator 2 and thay wont to keep it different but thay need to take a few things from it and make it there own now and in the future hopefully sedesco will commit to the game in the future and make it a Euro truck 2 competitor 👍
Truck stop? Long nose trucks? Personal logo's/ name my company? Make a company out of my fleet(5) of trucks? Options to buy my own trailer and search different jobs ie: car hauler, flat trailer etc. Cancel timed mission with David, by the time you complete your missionit don't make money after paying fines and fixing your truck trying to finish the mission.
Did you agree with my points? Have you got other things you would like to see upon release? Let me know in the comments below. Most importantly, have a great day!
Jason, Is It worth it at this point? You reached out many points, which most of them I agree too, so do you recommend the purchase?
Manual shifting? It's must, I really agree with everything you said and hope they work on it before lunch .
Do you know when it's out for pre order on ps4?
@@50Aslan September 5th for digital, otherwise you might be able to for physical copy. I have a pre order at GameStop.

Can we choose what side of the road we drive on that would be awesome
I agree with all points in the video these little thing will make your experience a hole lot better. As a long time console player and big simulator fan this game needs the little things.

Great video, and thanks for listening!
We need to hear the truck better we cannot hear the truck we need to hear the Truck Engine I think the sound need to be improved

Good on them and I shall be waiting to see what the final version delivers!
Thanks for the vid, Jase. You hit the nail on the head with this one.
It would be nice to see more lights on the trailers, and air hoses showing connected to the trailer.
I totally agree with your point about button configuration because everyone of us has some different preferences.
Spot on. I cancelled my pre-order after seeing the stream properly because there are just too many basics missing from the game. There's a limit to how often the small developer excuse can be used and I really don't like that everything is a "maybe" and depends on how well the game does at launch. same here
Wait, Wait, Wait the Wipers... A Standard Feature for any Rig is not implemented.... O.o
that came in a later update
Thanks jason, i especially like the idea of a Rumbel strip sound although a lot a work to do !
A cool thing that could be added is that you can only get speed tickets only if you drive to fast past a parked police car
Totally agree with the points you made also i think height, width and weight restrictions would increase the route variation with different loads and make you plan routes rather than just following the satnav.
I personally would NOT be purchasing this game until they literally implement EVERY point you just made❗️Thanks for the great video.
Yes please add some AI trucks driving around for more realism
The one thing I really want is for the trucks to have odometers. I really want to see distance driven.
I really hope the AI can be more dense .. not seeing other wagons or many cars around would be an issue for me
I agree, I wouldn't buy Truck or Bus Sim if they had a little AI, I don't even mind if they are repeated!
Loading gamez this and the map being absolutely too small kills it for me. Maybe I’m just spoiled with ETS but i can’t immerse myself into this game with it being so barren
I think you should be able to modify the interior like bedding, ornaments (model trucks, laptops and bags) and curtains and cupboards.
What about hazards four way indicators for parking aswell rename number plates decals to transfer the look of your truck
As I mentioned before, a proper engine brake system and sound(American style if possible) would be an amazing feature to have.
Thank you very much.
Absolutely agree with all your ideas Jason let hope it happens
That could make that when you come to parking you can choose how easy or hard it is. And you get a bonus the difficulty level you choose
I hope they put in the game where you can name your truck company and they put manual gearbox in the trucks and truck driver support gear shifters
The most important thing the game has to have is a bigger map and more loads, if you don't have that, the game gets very boring
Totally agree we need bigger maps
It would good to have realistic toll Stations and realistic flags of the countries
This not at lunch but for after truck driver after lunch future dlc. A special lunch edition of truck driver wouod of been nice
Thanks Jason great video as always. I suggest that gamers intrested in trucking simulators look to the SCS developments.
American truck simulator
Europe truck simulator 2
Also agree with others but the truck should have to have its tyres changed once in a while or going over a pot hole too.
What a great idea this would be a great detail to the game
I guess bus simulator is gonna be better then truck driver / you made a excellent point well done and great video
Dylan Minihan definitely
Can you pull trailers in bus sim? That's the biggest selling point for me, pulling trailers.
REDSTER gamin how can a bus pull a trailer
@@dylanminihan7630 typo, but I have seen buses pull trailers. Mainly when they don't have space for luggage.
REDSTER gamin can u do it on bus simulator

I will buy it if they allow the shifter .......
The only other small detail I can think of it’s having a gps in the truck.
I agree in what you have said, Jason. I wouldn't even mind if traffic/ AI is repeated.
I’m very sorry Jason I forgot too say awesome video and keep up with the fantastic job mate
Do you know if we are able to choose our own route or we have to stick to the GPS on the map? Thanks
Totally agree on everything especially the parking of trailer definitely need loading bays to reverse onto and tucked away parking areas. That for me is a major part of the game and as a truck driver the positioning of the trailer is sooo important
I just pre-ordered mine so excited thanks for introducing me to this game
But i think the truck should have a reverse on the trailer and in cab
I ment camera on the trailer and in cab
Great video Jason, I pretty much agree with all of these points and you have covered everything I was gonna suggest. Well done!
I agree with everything👍🏼
I would like to have a place where you have to go to pay at the gas station
Great vid would love to see a lot of those things in the game before launch it would make it more enjoyable to play so fingers crossed they can give us what where asking of them
I'm kinda concerned that the Dev team have pushed their limits way over their abilities, in saying that they may just maybe be able to make a great game out of this..........I hope
I'm afraid it'll turn into another 7D2D broken mess...
everything you said feels like its absolute necessary, otherwise it will be a dumpster fire. those are some massive flaws if you ask me. im quite a bit shocked lol
anyway, a feature i would like to be added is spotify integration that acts like an internal radio. i know i could just play it in the background, but that takes away atmosphere, and a truck driving game is all about atmosphere for me. (on second thought tha
I wud like my gear padels to look left n right
Everything you mentioned in the video i think is spot on and a great start to get the game polished up. I agree it does need to look more busy with not just vehicles but with people walking around making the towns look like their being used. And on any road you see road works.
Still trying to make a decision, should I get it or not? Such a hard decision as Bus Sim comes out as well!
I agree with your comments. Hopefully future update will take care of it. What they got now is not bad to start with. Thanks
Totally agree with your thoughts, I hope the developers see this and listen and take this as good advice to keep a long life time for truck driver
8:47 “it should show the speed on the gps” like whatttt!!! It’s the white circle with red outline that has the number 120 this the speed limit smhhhh
Yea....I put that there as an example....
Allowing players to team together to form transport companies and compete for on line contracts
Maybe racing teams that move multiple trailers or support vehicles to large cranes.
I would really like to voice navigation as there is in ets2
Great video mate, and it’s really good to see the devs in the comments taking things on board. I’m really want to support the game at launch as console needs a truck game. I’m just hoping that it’s not too overshadowed by Bus Sim which is definitely looking the better game of the two so far.
I feel you love to see it grow and love your videos 😊
Great video, very informative! I passed on the last racer they published due to lack of polish and the Nintendo Switch photo issue on the eShop. I really want this to be a good game and become a ongoing IP. I will wait for reviews.
Very Small Map! Smells like 1000 dlc s, i must wait 1 year to buy a full version of the game? (GOTY edition)
Great video! I agree in everything but the map, so not a game to buy on release date.
They plan to give the game free updates after launch which is great!
Will there be support for mods on the PC version?
Probably not, Microsoft does not allow mods unless it like mine craft. Sony might!
we need the looking left and right centralising or a dot to say you are now centralised. i play on P$4 and use the controller.
I am pushing for it. Hopefully soon.
Another game not really ready for release. But chucked out anyway to get the money in - shameful. Was going to buy, not sure now.
Hello Jason, I agree with all the points you made
and I hope Soedesco are listen to you, thanks.
Very good points you mentioned, in fact they just have to compare it with ets2 and make it even better than that. But if they don't change this point this game will be a disappointment.
I think I'll stick to Bus sim it really looks great and ticks all the boxes for me however I'll keep my eye on the progress of truck Driver
I would like to see the satnav with voice navigation
Steering look left and right
Straight on, excellent critique!
I bought Oculus rift S a week ago, so I'd be happy to see vr support in the game.
100% I think the ppl who did truck driver just have to focus on the game rn. U know
I totally agree Jason with your comments thay seriously need to up the ai cars and sedesco need to say we will be doing a DLC in the future for maps etc i know its not euro truck simulator 2 and thay wont to keep it different but thay need to take a few things from it and make it there own now and in the future hopefully sedesco will commit to the game in the future and make it a Euro truck 2 competitor 👍
Would be nice to walk aroud your truck and put fuel in like bus simulator maybe truck driver 2
Great video Jase, how many of the points have been addressed now?
