It's interesting how little the prices for homeware have gone up when compared to the prices for food. I'd also forgotten how Martini positioned itself as such an aspirational drink. The marketing approach may have been simpler in those days but it was just as clever as it is now.

The compositing effects for the Kodak advert are impressive for 1979.

it was quite an old technique by then.

@@bobrew461 But rarely to seen that standard. It's got moving images inside a moving background as the camera moves. Look at the Phantom zone effect in superman the movie from the year before. That effect doesn't look as good as this.
