    Hi Gloria, where did you learn English? Was it at university or private tutor or Internet? Thetrs no particular reason im asking. Just curious . Thanks :)

    • @DopeCantonese
      @DopeCantonese  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      😂is it too bad? I learned from school. And my spoken English is quite bad because we just learn it from textbooks

    • @spookyencounters9392
      @spookyencounters9392 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@DopeCantonese No, no. It's great ! 😆 I was just curious how you learned. I like your voice/accent. I'm always very impressed by people from any country who's mother tongue is a tonal language like yours, that manage to learn English. It's so different from cantonese, so I respect you/them. I would love to learn cantonese but I don't think I can do it without having a tutor in person or go to classes. I've attempted learning by myself on the Internet but it's too overwhelming for me. I'm probably a bit lazy too. I lose interest before I get anywhere with it. But if I had real life classes I'd probably do great. One day soon I will find a local class. I think they only teach mandarin in my town. Maybe I should learn that instead, even though cantonese is the one I truly want to master. I grew up on cantonese movies ya see. Anyway. ...maybe I'll start watching your absolute beginner videos. 😊

    • @DopeCantonese
      @DopeCantonese  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh thank you~ haha I think I still need to practice my pronunciation.
      Yes there are not too many Cantonese teaches.
      or you could book a lesson from me too~~
      Learning by oneself is not easy while learning with a teacher could help you learn systematically.

      @@DopeCantonese Nahhh, you're just fine. Good enough. 😆
      And yeah, having you as my teacher would be great, but I'm not comfortable on virtual video calls. It's just not the same as being in the room with someone teaching, hearing their voice vibrate clearly etc , plus energy. . Plus I'd have to have like 2000 sessions at least before I ever got close to being any good lol. It's just not feesable. But I apreciate that you're offering this service 😊. Have a nice day.
