I will never pay for a Chanel handbag, due to the price. Ladies, they are handbags to be used to carry your stuff with. Invest in mutual funds for your future and emergencies instead.
Or invest in both, if you have the means to 😜

S CT agreed. My Tory Burch Fleming is my Chanel. I have my limits when it comes to luxury. I’ll pay for Louis Vuitton but Chanel is definitely out of my price range.
Chanel bag is not worth it unless it has finger print lock technology on it
Let’s also appreciate that tory included a shoulder pad on the chain strap which will save your shoulders big time!
I remember seeing you for the 1st time reviewing a Louis Vuitton galliera and I thought, aww, look at this sweet young gal with her 1st Louis Vuitton and now I see you with a gag load of high dollar handbags! Wowie Kazowie... what a collection! I'm 53 and I just bought my first LV in 2016....a lot of money later and now I'm dialing it down a few notches with TBs :)

Tory Burch is definitely more beautiful and it has more detail and the workmanship is way more than the chanel bag. I think chanel is magical because its expensive and a lot of people want to show off and assure others they have the money to buy it.
I cannot disagree with you. Especially in terms of the day to day functionally of the Fleming line. Ms. Burch is a phenomenal job designing a gorgeous bag for all people to enjoy. The Fleming medium bag or the Lee Radziwill bag will be my birthday bag next month. As for CHANEL, the flaps are stunning bags, but painfully outdated. Not to mention painfully heavy to wear. For me, it's not a partial bag for the lux price tag. Lastly, the customer service experience is very important to me. CHANEL doesn't practice loyalty towards its loyalists and this something I cannot overlook. This said when my budget allows it, my plan is to purchase the SAINT LAURENT Kate and the DIOR J'Adior medium bags most likely from the preloved market. Both bags hit all the requirements I need on my lux checklist. Enough said lol.
I absolutely love Tory Burch bags and shoes, and I haven’t had any issues with quality. I want Chanel items, but can’t get myself to pull the plug. I plan to start with SLGs.
Chanel has been raising their prices but not their quality so I only buy preloved Chanel. As far as Tory Burch is concerned, I love the brand! The quality is great for the price. I have a Kira belt bag from them and I just love it!!! I also have a Chanel medium Classic Flap and I love it so much but I bought it preloved so I didn’t pay full price. The quality is amazing and the bag is just so classic and just goes with everything. Both great brands. I just love bags and ca get enough of them. Lol

Great video. I think wearing a Chanel just makes you feel higher status and expensive. However, due to a lot of ‘good fake’ Chanel bags out there, if your clothes and accessories don’t added up to the thousands and you’re wearing Chanel bag with just any average clothes and accessories, people would just think it’s a fake. So, what’s the point of paying so much for a real then?
Love your diverse collection behind you. I love my Chanel but my daily bag is a Longchamp. I feel that a Chanel bag is an outing bag/special occasion bag.
I was amazed by Tory Burch’s quality that I personally think it’s better than what I would pay for Chanel. Chanel is ridiculously expensive, and I just think Chanel is getting worse by raising their selling price for a fair quality and unchanged design. Chanel to me is a total scam either for women buys it who are lack of confidence trying to prove her status, or too much money to trash out. I basically would prefer to donate those money to charity rather than buying a Chanel bag. After buying a Chanel bag, you don’t feel the excitement as expected due to the quality just way too fair, and their unchanged style, the size of bag is not a day to day basis can simply wear. At other hand, Tory Burch’s quality surprised me a lot with price I paid.

@@MamaBeech agree with you the vintage was better than than the recent ones. And this is the point that breaks my heart that we know we pay more for less now. However, Chanel is creating “The emperor’s new clothes” phenomenon that most of the women’s keeps buying their bags for fulfilling their esteem needs. I feel not good at all when I see other women wear the same style of bags with me on subway after I paid 5000dollars on the bag.

Chanel is magic! Tory Burch is nice and well made, I find the magnet closure to be fussy to close - mine never seems to line up and then my bag pops open. My Chanel however, is so beautiful and there is a special feeling I get when carrying, also the closure is such beautiful quality, user friendly, and secure. xox Jesse

I wonder if the Chanel bags are shiny because they are more conditioned with hand oils since they're vintage!
I know this is a little late, but, how shiny a leather is entirely dependent on the type gloss/finish it has coated on it. Lambskin tends to be naturally shiney, yes, but in the end, the gloss is what makes it reflective.

I agree Chanel does have a special something. However, while you can see the Chanel inspiration in Tory Burch...she also stands out. I believe the Fleming's collection will put her on the high luxury brand wagon if she managed the operation correctly. I grew up watching my mom sporting a Chanel bag. It left an imprint on my memory how one good quality something is what you need. And I should always strive for quality. So, yes I definitely appreciate Chanel. The quality standards found in some Tory's collections, In the same token, is creating an imprint of its own in me. It's quality with a flair of modernity. Like quality of this era. Uhm..I could see this statement goes for Chanel too during the time of Gabrielle. Well alright, If you are into Classy, independently chic, then Tory...if you are into Chanel, then you are into Chanel.
I just bought my norwood fleming just like yours! Love it so much! I wear it on special occasions, meanwhile my day-to-day bag is Coach or Michael Kors or Fossil. Thinking about to add my next Tory Burch collection, which one do you think worth it? My eyes are on Kira. Thanks again for the review!

Hi Dyah! Do you consider Tory Burch to be superior to Coach? I have had such horrible experiences with Tory Burch. The leather gets ruined quite easily. And the interior of the bags are so cheap to me /: In my opinion, you can't beat the quality of Coach in the contemporary brand category. You should definitely look into the newer Coach lines I think you will be very pleased. Hope all is well!
Why you did not compare the chains(( i had Chanel mini and in 2 years lost 800 euros selling it. So, I do not fully agree on resale value.
Olesia Abanina forgot about the chains. They are very similar in weight and quality in my opinion. Sorry to hear about your mini! That’s crazy you lost so much, especially on a mini. They are so popular.
Mama Beech I just bought on sale Rebecca Minkoff Edie small crossbody/shoulder bag in light blue distressed leather, for summer holidays. I like the color and wanted in blue. So it was 180 eur with shipping and now saw mini flemming in another shade of blue, the price is 238 eur, so not a bug difference. I love RM, but do not like enough the quality of a chains, it looks like YSL ones, but feels 10 times cheaper, so was thinking if I should get Tory instead, but Tory with gold chain and I am afraid that blue in real life is darker🙄🙄
But I like nice chains, because got used to Gucci, YSL and Chanel chains.
Love chenille bag but can not afford it so I prefer the tony burch and looks like good quality

I have theTory Burch Fleming in the size of your geo,but in saffiano and I have a chanel vintage single flap like your first Chanel bag,it is getting repaired by leather surgeons right now, I think both brands are well made and beautiful, Chanel has that vintage charm and Tory Burch has a more modern twist,regardless of the price difference they both are timeless and classic
Thank you for your review. I purchased a vintage Chanel small double flap and all my quilts are flat. I know it's vintage so I should expect that. I've been thinking of selling it however I don't want to regret it. Just wanted your thoughts on it. Do you put anything on the leather of your Chanel for the shine?
I definitely condition the leather regularly. Use either Bickmore or Apple Brand leather conditioner. Apply, let dry, then buff with a soft cloth.

After all the bag is a bag will only get deteriorated and depreciation. Some women buys Chanel not only to fulfill their esteem needs but also because Chanel has a dramatic history. But the world we are living in is already dramatic enough.So I’m just wondering how “The emperor’s new clothes “ charm for the Chanel bags can last. Some woman started to cry out Chanel’s bag is costing way too much and not worth it, which Just like the child in the story pointing out the king is wearing nothing. Chanel knows that people will still buy their bags to fulfill their esteem needs. And that explains Chanel Not giving effort to Improve their quality.

It does scratch, just like all lambskin will. The scratches aren’t very noticeable though and I condition the leather regularly to help camouflage them and any corner wear it gets. Honestly it’s still one of my favorite bags and I absolutely love it!

I use either Apple Brand conditioner or Bickmore conditioner. Both great products and available on Amazon!
Can I use the Tory Burch in a regular basis? I want to buy however I’m scared. Please help.
Yeah! It will definitely get scratches with use but just keep it well conditioned, especially the edges, and the scratches will be very hard to see. Other than that small issue, it’s a great bag!

Yup both are made of leather. Tory is lambskin and Chanel is calfskin
I liked the video. But Chanel is Chanel, overpriced or not. This is why it’s great to have choices. I had a few MK bags, I own a Prada, a Chanel and an LV and honestly I didn’t get the same satisfaction wearing MK as I had while wearing Chanel or LV. I agree the prices are insane. It’s just a matter of options.
