Noel thank you for including audiobook, I’m a legally blind bookworm & I often rely on audiobooks to consume literature, sadly it’s a subcategory that gets forgotten, so thank you!
GIRL WE MISSED YOU AND YOUR RECS😭❤️❤️ also can we talk about how glowy and beautiful you look😍😍🔥 Edit: just finished reading Viola Davis' "finding me" and it was the best start of this year tbh✨
Finished The Marriage Portrait last week. It was pure magic. I also knew nothing of 1500s Italy but put my faith in Maggie O’Farrell and I was NOT disappointed. Definitely run! don’t walk to read this book. ❤
as someone who recently read tomorrowx3 and already considered it one of her all time favorites, i think you should wait for the paperback! you deserve a reading experience that will let you devour it and really sink into it the way that works best for you!! i totalllyyyy get the fomo but what YOU get out of the book as a reader won't change from waiting a few months for the paperback.
Because you're a lover of short story collections, I wanted to mention 'Things we don't tell the people we love' by Huma Qureshi. The stories in this collection always focus on women and their relationships - it can be with a husband, a daughter, a mother-in-law. Each story is really emotional, sincere and relatable..I was completely captivated. This book deserves more love ❤️
This sounds so good! If you haven't heard of it, you might also like Things We Say in the Dark by Kirsty Logan. It's a collection of short stories based on women's fears. It's a phenomenal collection and her writing is gorgeous
Noelle, you're amazing. Thank you so, so much for just how great you are. I've been watching your channel for years and I consistently find comfort in how genuine you continue to be. I'm blushing ever hue of red from your kind words. I hope you love the book!! The tubes is always happy when you're here!!!
Remarkably Bright Creatures is such a good story. Nothing earth shattering, but you care very much about the characters. If you listen to the audiobook, the voice of the octopus makes the whole story. 🙂
Remarkably bright creatures was the first book I read in 2023 and it was just spectacular. It’s a story family, grief and love. It’s a beautiful portrait of how a friendship can change one’s life. You will love it for sure!
seeing you in my subscription box is always an absolute JOY. you look so so beautiful!! 💌 also, id DIEEEE for a KU romance reading vlog. 😩 im in the exact same boat with you about Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow! the international paperbacks ive seen are so gorgeoussss so im just waiting patiently
I found “Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow” at a thrift store the other day in perfect condition for $1! I was waiting for the paperback but obviously I couldn’t pass up the deal. So excited to read it.
Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow is epic and stunning. So good. Highly recommend. But I understand, I’m a paperback girly. Newest addition: New Animal by Ella Baxter
SO EXCITED to see a new video today! I started reading fiction last summer and you’re the first booktuber I found and I ended up reading 40 books last year!
East of Eden is a masterpiece. I read it maybe 10 years ago and have been seeing it recommended by a few booktubers recently, so I’m going to re-read it in 2023. I have Lapvona pre-ordered in paperback (I’m not into hardbacks - controversial! 😁) and can’t wait to get stuck in. Thanks for another great video ❤️
The Island of Sea Women is one of my favorites. It was such an amazing story and when I finished the book, I hugged it to my chest. Ahhhhh, it was so good!
Thanks for not quiting on us Noelle! I had my best reading year ever last year, both in numbers and in 5-star reads, and quite a few of those were your recommendations! So thank you for sharing your wonderful enthusiasm of reading books! 💚🧡💜❤💖💕💙💛💕
The Marriage Portrait was stunning! It really takes up the space of all those pages and sinks you into a lush, descriptive, lyrical reimagining of the life of this girl who gets married off at 15. She's a painter, so a lot of the descriptions are from her eyes and she's such an insightful, intelligent main character. You can't help but to root for her. Basically, pick it up immediately because I think you'll love it!
Noelle, just wanna drop by n’ say i missed u like crazy!❤ Sending positive vibes to one of my favourite people here . Couldn’t believe my eyes for good 4-5 seconds that it was u. Love u!
Literally just started the video but I had to stop to say I'm OBSESSED with Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow. It was my first read of the year after a heavyyy reading slump for all of January. I read it in a couple days while in between classes because I just couldn't put it down. Someone said it had the vibes of a little life in terms of character development and compelling friendships. BUT it's definitely less traumatic and less trigger warnings. I can't wait for you to read it and get your thoughts
I have to say, I have missed your videos so much! You were my comfort TH-camr during the pandemic and you still bring me so much joy to watch. Thank you from a very appreciative subscriber ❤
Noelle, I live for your book hauls and recs because we have the SAME EXACT TASTE and I love you for it! 🤣 You don’t know how much this gives me life!!! Keep going!
Remarkably Bright Creatures: I'd recommend it for fans of Frederik Backman, esp if you liked Man Called Ove. It's one of those cozy, quirky stories that centres a lot on families/community
Just finished ‘The Rose Code’ by Kate Quinn. It was so exciting; I purchased book from kindle and listened to it on Libby. I find books about Bletchley Park and code breakers during the war fascinating!
I literally saved this video to watch at the end of my day, took a long shower, made some popcorn and lamonade, and here I am watching it at the maximum state of cozyness. Thanks Noelle, thank you.
Oh and i’ve also read The Marriage Portrait, one of my favorite books of 2022. I still think about it at least weekly: such a powerful story and so lyrical
If you're going to check out Bitter I would also suggest Pet. The student in Bitter is actually the mother from Pet. The audiobook for Pet is also wonderful!
Couldn’t be more thrilled that you uploaded!!! I was at work and couldn’t wait to go to lunch!!!! Thank you for the recs!! And those necklaces are perfect together!! I wouldn’t mind a heads up on where they’re from 😉😉😉 I keep trying to find a good set, but can’t. You’re jewelry recs are as fire as your book recs. Love you tons Noelle!
i finished the marriage portrait yesterday and i can absolutely recommend this book to you! it was incredible and is going to live in my head for a long time. once again a truly beautiful work by maggie o'farrell❤
Welcome back Noelle, you look GORGEOUS! My most recent purchase is The Candy House hardback and I really want to get my hands on Cleopatra and Frankestein. Have a romantic February ❤️
I never would have picked up a stephen king book until I saw your videos when you would talk about IT. I picked it up a few months back and just finished. I cried at the end! Loved it! I cant wait to explore more of his work!!! Thank you!
My Sister the Serial Killer is so good! I read it physically so I am not sure about the audio book, but the story itself is so fascinating. I cannot wait to hear what you think about that one.
Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow is absolutely worth prioritizing. It was one of my best books of 2022 and it might have earned a place in my top 10 favorite books ever. The Island of Sea Women looks great
I read The Marriage Portrait last month, it was my first Maggie O'Farrell and I gave it 4 stars- I don't want to spoil anything but I found despite the size of the book, the pages flew by, the dual time lines are very different and distinct without being jarring. It kept me guessing till the end and has made me want to pick up more of her books- Hope you enjoy it Noelle, sending love from the UK x
I just read a play by Martin Mcdonagh called “The Pilllowman” which was absolutely fantastic! I’ve loved his movies for a long time but now I want to read all his plays 😊
I just finished Memphis by Tara M. Stringfellow that you recommended and it’s new favourite, it was soooo good! I also just picked up Finding Me by Viola Davis from the library which I’m so excited to get to!
A new Noelle video... the sunshine of my day!! I'm currently reading The Bandit Queens and it's definitely good so far - the crime/mystery starts to pick up about halfway through (where I am) and I absolutely can't wait to be done with my day so I can get cozy and read some more!
The Marriage Portrait was amazing! I went into it knowing nothing about the history and it was so interesting and I loved sinking right into it! Totally worth your time. I gave it five stars ^_^
Thank you for your videos and recommendations. You often find books I don’t see a lot of other people talking about which is so cool! The way you speak so passionately about books makes me want to pick up so many of your recommendations! Idk I needed this soothing calm video today so thank you! ❤
Hell Bent by Leigh Bardugo. Just bought it, can’t wait to read it! Reading The Marriage Portrait now. Chapters flip between two timelines. Great so far!
I missed you & your videos so much! ❤ Glad to see you posted. You are probably extremely busy with school and wedding planning (idk if you’ve had your wedding yet or not lol) on top of regular life things. I recently had a wedding in November & I was stressed everyday until the day. Hope you and your fiancé & doggies are doing well 😊😊
Happy New Year, Noelle! I just want to say thank you, I finished The Kiss Quotient yesterday and it was the best romance book I've read, I'm so thankful❤I don't read much romance but this piece of art was everything I wanted
o caledonia is absolutely fantastic, so happy to see it here (i also picked it up as a fan of maggie o'farrell)- the plot is not quite as described here, but it is dark & the protagonist's love of gothic novels is reflected in the writing
Congratulations on your wedding Noelle!! I’m in a weird reading place where I’m picking up a lot of books and reading about a third of them, then starting another one… I’ve got like 8 going right now, it’s chaos😫 I think Someone Who Will Love You in All Your Damaged Glory will knock me out of it though! Love it so far. Missed you!
I just finished reading “the house in the cerulean sea” and I loved it! I don’t know if I’d ever read it if wasn’t for you recommending it; thank you so much! You’re the best 🥹 I absolutely love your recommendations and am so glad I found you 🤍 sending love from Brazil
East of Eden is my favorite book of all time (I have read it 6 times and have a tattoo based off/inspired by it, I should probably make a video talking about it at some point) and I am so excited you're going to read it!
East of Eden is my favorite novel of all time. A multigeneral epic tale on family, faith, relationships and class divisions. Just incredible. Hopefully you’ll like it as well!
I may or may not be on my 5th rewatch of this video. I was missing some Noelle time, but happy that you're taking the time that you need after such busy season with school and everything else. On books, very much looking forward to "Happy Places" by EmilyHenry (already pre-order), "In Charm's Way" is also highly anticipated as I just love to catch up on what the witches at Thistle Grove are up to. And the last one is non-fiction "The success Myth" by Emma Gannon, a loved the fiction book by Emma but I feel that I'm learning organically the same things that Emma does so her non-fiction books seems to be at the perfect stage/phase of my life so can't wait to get my hands on it. Looking forward to the next video and would love a romance recs from kindle unlimited as I have recently been converted to it. Wishing you all the best
Happy New Year, Noelle!! I feel you on paperbacks, I love them so much. As for first reads: From Lukov with Love by Marianna Zapata. First sports romance I ever read and I loved it
highly suspicious was my most anticipated release and it was SO SO GOOD (but also, I’ve never been disappointed by Talia Hibbert) - unrelated, but I love how your lighter brows look with your hair + makeup
10000% worth the Hardcover (Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow) I listened to it in audiobook and halfway through I went and bought the hardcover because I HAD to have it in my hands! I may buy the paperback too, it’s THAT good!
Hi Noelle, So glad to see you back. Missed you! Hope you're having a good year. I'm almost finished with n exellent book called The Rose Code by Kate Quinn. It is so so good. Historical fiction.
East of Eden is one of my favorite books ! I listened to it on audiobook last summer, absolutely mesmerizing. I can also say Lapvona is great! It was my 1st book from Ottessa & now I'm hooked.
Not gonna lie… I was 20 minutes into another TH-cam video… and bailed to immediately watch Noelle and I don’t feel bad about it. 😅❤
