I'm in Southern California and discovered Snollebollekes while watching stage 19 of the 2019 Tour de France. The Beef Eaters, a group from the UK, were roadside on the climb to the Galibier, dressed in their red "guards of the Tower of London uniforms, leading a group of spectators to the song Linchs Recht. th-cam.com/video/hP6WGSDbCgA/w-d-xo.html I liked the music, figured out what the song was and fell in love with this guy. One of the best performers I have even seen in my 74 years. Through countless TH-cam searches I was able to find a cornucopia of other great Dutch artists: Jan Biggel, the Lawineboys, Alpensjuses, Goebroeders Ko,...and on and on. I love this stuff; it was all I listen to until recently when I discovered my now favorite artist, South Africa's Snotkop.
Color orange is because the last name of our royal family is 'oranje' (means orange). Song is done by artist 'Snottebollekes' with song 'even tot hier' (some moment here) which is actually a ode song to teachers. 'Snottebollekes' is a pseudonym for small children with a snotty nose which comes from the expression 'snotneuzen' (snot nozes) meaning young people that still needs to learn in Dutch saying.
de guy singing is called Snollebollekes and the song translated says sing plz ffs !(springen donderju!) .....but its not like standart dutch ...its like scottisch to a english person ;-) . the second song is exactly ...go left !...go right !...
"springen nondeju" or as you said "shrinking orangejuice" means "Jump " also, our national parties are visible on seismic radars due to this type of thing being popular.
We use the collor orange to honor our founding father of the netherlands: Willem Van Oranje (van oranje=Orange in english and it is his surname) since our royalty's are also related to Willem is why we use the bright orange collor as our national representation collor
This footage has nothing to do with the euro 2024 in Germany or Hamburg. Its footage from Breda from april 27th. When te Dutch celebrate the birthday of their King. Thats why there is a sign "Koningsdag" (=Kingday) above the stage.
This year it is even crazier. Carnaval (this is what the snollebollekes are know for), Kingsday, European championship football and the Olympics. We make a party out of all of it. The breaks in speed skating are names " dweilpauze" for entertainment we got the "dweilorkest"
The Dutch song was released in 2015, but it was first in 2017 when supporters from NAC (local soccer club) moved left and right. Earthquake seems to be from 2016, so it is probably something that evolved over time.

Pretty solid translation! I don't think I could such a translation without having to look up (just) the Dutch text. Now I am not too familiar with the song anyway. It's a bit like with carneval songs (like "de balletjes van koningin, die gaan er wel in... well in), if it's mee hossen en zingen and they probably don't really notice my mistakes I can sing-along most sing.
The Dutch flag is Red White Blue. It is the second oldest national flag in the world. After the Danish flag. The Dutch flag used to be Orange White Blue. But the orange colour always faded on the flags of Dutch ships during years on sea due to sunlight. So out of practical considerations they changed the orange to red. Officially as late in the in the early 20th century I believe. Orange is therefore not in the Dutch flag anymore. But it is still the name of the Dutch royal family. The house of Oranje (orange).
The red-white-blue flag was around since the 16th century and possibly even earlier. Only during the Rebellion against the Spanish (80 years war) the orange-white-blue flag became popular, most likely because it is supposed to express support for the Orange-Naussau family which was controversial during some times during the Dutch Republic. The orange-white-blue flag became defunct during the Batavian Republic and after the creation of the Kingdom in 1815 red-white-blue was the official flag, albeit not laid down in legislation. That only occurred after orange-white-blue was used by the Dutch-nazi party NSB in the 1930’s. Since then orange-white-blue has always been associated with right wing extremism and neo-nazism in the Netherlands.
I played it with my Dutch band during carnival in Germany. We had to explain what to do when we play this song. Now Snollebollekes are said to translate it to German. Next year we don't have to explain anything :D
What he sings is not 'swinging on the juice', but 'springen nondeju'. Springen means to jump, this survives in English as well as a spring will cause stuff to jump on release. Nondeju is basically a basterdized version of 'nom de dieu', which is French for 'name of God', of course used in a way the English also have when they use this as a power term, like 'for God's sake'. So a proper translation would be 'jump, for God's sake'. Obviously, the crowd proceeds to perform the command, because the Dutch love set pieces like this. More impressive set pieces are Snollebollekes - Links Rechts and De Staat - Witch Doctor where Dutch crowds perform mass movements.
The orange color is a nod to the royal family, which is made up of members of the House of Orange. This dates back to 1544 when William of Orange inherited the estate Orange in France. Almost all national sportteams use it, solely or in combination with red, white and blue.
The Netherlands has a red-white-blue flag, the second oldest national flag in the world after the Danes. Willem van Nassau became the prince of the French region of Orange in France when a relative of him died without children. So he became “the prince of Orange”. When later in live the Dutch asked him to become their king, after beating the Spanish, he kept the title prince of Orange and that became his household name. Now the Dutch royal family still goes by the name “the house of Orange” and the Dutch adopted the colour orange as the national colour. The Dutch are quite divided internally in their regions, but stick together as one nation in the world. I am a “Groninger” first, a Dutchman second. This song is a “carnaval-song”. This is a yearly party that is held in the southern regions of the country (the Roman Catholic part). It has its own music-style that you can jump and sing to, even when you are drunk. This song is never sang or played in footballstadiums, but the fans of the Dutch team like to party like it is carnaval …
the dutch flag is red white and bleu but the orange has something 2 do with the kingshouse from the past so thats why orange is our national color + we call our national team the lions they are kinda orange 😝
our flag was orange, white, and blue, but because orange wasn't well visible on the open sea around 500 years ago they changed it to red. The color of our Royal Family is Orange that's why it's our national color

The name Snollebollekes is funny in itself. Naughty, a bit on edge but positive, just like most of the texts. 'Snol' means promiscuous woman, in a bad way, but by adding 'bollekes', which means 'little heads', you make small and cute and not so bad. At ghe beginning he says 'Springen Nondeju' which means 'Jump Goddammit! Again, people could take offence, but he does it in such a way that it's fun. Most texts are on the edge of what is appropriate, but I think that is what gives power to these songs, and why people like them. I think it gives the people a feeling of breaking free from a dull daily life.
Proud to be dutch, Your question about the the Oranje flag, this is the answer Historically, the Dutch flag has had the colors orange, white, and blue. The orange color was gradually replaced by red, and the white and blue come from the Principality of Orange. Nowadays, the orange pennant above the flag is only used on birthdays of the Royal Family. The Netherlands is the only country in the world that sometimes adjusts its national flag
Orange = The name of the Royal Family: 'van Oranje'. That is why an orange pennant hangs on the flagpole when, for example, it is a family member's birthday.
The flag is red white blue , and if one of the royals have birthday or else an seperate orange banner will be added, orange is the color of our royals ,william of orange nassau thats why the orange is kind of the national color for teams soccer, volleyball and so on
The flag isn't orange, the flag is red white and blue. The royal house's color and name is orange. You'll often see orange being flown separate with the official dutch flag as a little add-on flag. And the event is due to the Euro championship soccer.
Springen nonderju. Springen means Jumping (spring = jump) Nondeju is used in brabant (southern province above belgium) a lot where they all say it as a power term like God damn it. Its origin comes from the frech term "au nom de dieu".
The House of Orange is our monarchy, that is why orange is the color of the Dutch... The reason why most people only know of the exsitence of orange carrots is because of the Dutch influences. We have the colors of the flag but we share these colors with many other countries. The orange is quite specific in that way.
The orange is from the first king, Willem from Orange Nassau (Willem van Oranje) Orange is the place where he got the tittle of prince, that made him later tittled to be a king. To make it complete, Orange is a small place in France 😂 He was born in Germany (Dillenburg) and Count of Nassau-Dillenburg and prince of Orange. He was later murderd in the Netherlands, in Delft. The Dutch also made the carrot Orange. ;) nl.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Orange_(Frankrijk)
We have in the Netherlands the flag : red/white/blue. This we use in our countrie and diplomatic. But our Kingdom is the House of Van Orange Nassau. We in the Netherlands go in Orange by: - Kingsday ( whole countrie) a free day and one big party - F1 Max Verstappen - European allsports - World all sports - Olympic all sports Then we have also Orange flags, Orange flags with the lion, all for courage, strenght and pride.
First song: That is on the King's day! That they are in Orange! For the Royal silly family. They have the night and day in april to party for that. Yeah he is famous with some songs. He has another song that is getting posted..the second one which goes from Left to right. A well known party song and overplayed. Drink alcohol and go in the club or wherever you are. Very bad to be there if you are not really into that kinda music
"Nondejus" is a Dutch expression that can be roughly translated to "Donnerwetter" in German. Both expressions are used to convey surprise, frustration, or annoyance, somewhat similar to the English "damn" or "gosh." In Dutch, "nondejus" is a mild expletive derived from "nondeju," which itself is a euphemistic contraction of "nom de Dieu" (French for "name of God"). Over time, it has become part of colloquial Dutch speech, especially in expressions of astonishment or irritation. Similarly, "Donnerwetter" in German literally means "thunder weather" but is used idiomatically to express amazement or frustration, making it a fitting counterpart to "nondejus." So, when a Dutch person says "nondejus," a German person might understand it as "Donnerwetter," both capturing a sense of mild exasperation or surprise.
William of Orange (not that guy who later became King of England) was the first freedom fighter in the Netherlands. Under his leadership, the Dutch fought against Spanish rule for eighty years. Unfortunately, William of Orange never lived to see Dutch independence, because he was murdered prematurely on the orders of the Spanish king. The national Orange color comes from his name. The Dutch flag originally consisted of orange, white and blue. At that time, the Netherlands was a major seafaring nation that traded all over the world. The orange stripe in the flag was not always clearly visible at sea. That is why the orange stripe was replaced by a red one over time. This resulted in the flag that we still fly to this day. (and which we are very proud of) The music performance of the Snolle bollekes was recorded during King's Day. A national holiday where we celebrate the birthday of King Willem-Alexander. On that day, almost everyone is dressed in Orange.

Dear teacher Paul The reason why we love football so much is because we Dutch people love Dutch football so much. We love football very much. And we always want to make it a fun party. The orange scent is not harmful to you, but it does give a thick smell so you can't see anything. The famous football player you know is Ruud Gullit from 1988. We became European champions then. With Marco Van Basten and Johan Cruijff. Bro, you have made a good, nice summary of the Netherlands - France match. You are absolutely right about the disallowed goal. I think we will win the European Cup. Good luck with your channel and have fun with the EUROPACUP. GREETINGS AND PEACE MICHAEL
"a kid's song" ... somewhat; it's actually targeted at dance festival crowds, which tends to be upwards from about sixteen to late twenties. It's called hardcore. But it works with other crowds too. The lyrics - as if that matters in a dance song - is in Dutch, but I think the band - snollebollekes - could make a killing if they did an English language version; Anyplace where there's a crowd it will raise the enjoyment.
Our first leader and king was willem van oranje so our royal house color became orange ( you already said oranje so you know that one ) and thus it became our national color that we use in all sports our flag is red white and blue so you will see orange with a combo of red white an blue thats typicly dutch if you see that

I liked the music, figured out what the song was and fell in love with this guy.
Yes the Singer Rob is also an well educted and bright man.
"springen nondeju" or as you said "shrinking orangejuice" means "Jump "
also, our national parties are visible on seismic radars due to this type of thing being popular.
We use the collor orange to honor our founding father of the netherlands: Willem Van Oranje (van oranje=Orange in english and it is his surname) since our royalty's are also related to Willem is why we use the bright orange collor as our national representation collor
The founder of the Netherlands was prince of Orange, a principality in France.
The orange was the colour of the royal dutch family and it has been used ever since. Their flag is red, white and blue.
Pls check the original, "Defqon.1 - Earthquake | Crowd Control - Left To Right" 😁
Yes yes here we go everybody to the left to the right. For sure a MUST see
The Dutch song was released in 2015, but it was first in 2017 when supporters from NAC (local soccer club) moved left and right. Earthquake seems to be from 2016, so it is probably something that evolved over time.

Such a nice video. Yes it's all about having fun. And Orange. The Dutch national symbol colour.
Great dutch fan-crowd at the EM in Germany 🤩!
Love to our 🇳🇱 neighbours

He starts with ; springen Nondeju ! Which means Jump, Nom de Dieu 😇
It sounds so weird in English 🤣 But that's pretty much what's going on
Pretty solid translation!
You should look up.” LEFT RIGHT, the Dutch know how to party”. 😊😊😊
He says not "juice" but nondesju, which is from the south of the Netherlands, and ultimately from French as in nom-de-dieu.
Your smile joy in eyes and nodding along got a you a new dutch follewer!
They are the Family of Orange. It stems from the royal family.
Everyone wears orange because on 27 april we celebrate the birthday of our King, this is kingsday in the Netherlands 😊❤
This song left right became popular when the Dutch girls became European champions !
Lol no it did not as no one cares for women's soccer. It became popular due to a commercial.
No, that's "Jij krijgt die lach niet van mijn gezicht" by John de Bever
This was on king’s day in the Netherlands
The orange color is a nod to the royal family, which is made up of members of the House of Orange.
This dates back to 1544 when William of Orange inherited the estate Orange in France.
Almost all national sportteams use it, solely or in combination with red, white and blue.
This is not in Germany, but it is the city Breda at kings Day 27 april.
We also listen to very good music, but this for a party and always works, a lot of beer, and you dance like crazy hahaha
and the German football fans dance and sing together with the Dutch football fans.....greets from Germany 🎉🎉
The Snollebollekes started their songs to celebrate Carneval. Then this song 🧡 had become a party song
the dutch flag is red white and bleu but the orange has something 2 do with the kingshouse from the past so thats why orange is our national color + we call our national team the lions they are kinda orange 😝
oranje is the color of the royal family. The king of Oranje Nassau
our flag was orange, white, and blue, but because orange wasn't well visible on the open sea around 500 years ago they changed it to red. The color of our Royal Family is Orange that's why it's our national color
The whole world must learn of this. It makes a better world❤❤❤❤❤❤ proud of being Dutch❤❤❤❤
Ja , van de uitvreters.

Does there have a defibrillator here, or no one?
God good grief
Springen non de dju means “jump damnit!!!”
Auf jeden Fall sind die Holländer die Europameisterschaft der guten Laune, der Freude und der Herzen. 😊❤
The Dutch never shy away from an excuse to party. Not even the birthday of king Willy.
1:40 our royals last name is orange of Nassau. William of orange revolted against the Spanish creating the Netherlands. So orange is our royal colour.
Type crazy dutch fans and you will see. F1 is just as crazy and fun to watch
He is word fameus in the Netherlads. The party is for our King , 's Day. Every 27th of April. The King,'s birthday celebration
Again the dutch support is the best lol ❤
How many people would like to be there dancing and jumping? I love Holland and Hardcore music in all its subgenres. by from Ital👇🇮🇹
I am from the netherlands , there are Party group Dutch artist
Our royals are called The House of Orange
Dit is niet in Duitsland. Dit is 538 koningsdag.
Even the seismogram went off. Small earthquake lol
Did it really?
This is a Kigns day, celebrates kings birthday. Yes Dutch and the best in celebrates. Oranje is because King Family name is Oranje Nassau
I am Dutch and we sing this song already eight years .
Springen nonderju. Springen means Jumping (spring = jump) Nondeju is used in brabant (southern province above belgium) a lot where they all say it as a power term like God damn it. Its origin comes from the frech term "au nom de dieu".
Its the house ORANGE...❤DUTCH
And the red in our flag used to be orange it was changed in the 19th century
This is on kingsday
The House of Orange is our monarchy, that is why orange is the color of the Dutch...
The reason why most people only know of the exsitence of orange carrots is because of the Dutch influences.
We have the colors of the flag but we share these colors with many other countries. The orange is quite specific in that way.
The orange is from the first king, Willem from Orange Nassau (Willem van Oranje)
Orange is the place where he got the tittle of prince, that made him later tittled to be a king.
To make it complete, Orange is a small place in France 😂
He was born in Germany (Dillenburg) and Count of Nassau-Dillenburg and prince of Orange.
He was later murderd in the Netherlands, in Delft.
The Dutch also made the carrot Orange. ;)
nl.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Orange_(Frankrijk)
The singer is from the Southof the Netherlands
he is from best netherlands
The Netherlands. House off Orange, The King. And the song & artist; Province of Brabant.
We have in the Netherlands the flag : red/white/blue.
This we use in our countrie and diplomatic. But our Kingdom is the House of Van Orange Nassau.
We in the Netherlands go in Orange by:
- Kingsday ( whole countrie)
a free day and one big party
- F1 Max Verstappen
- European allsports
- World all sports
- Olympic all sports
Then we have also Orange flags, Orange flags with the lion, all for courage, strenght and pride.
Both expressions are used to convey surprise, frustration, or annoyance, somewhat similar to the English "damn" or "gosh."
In Dutch, "nondejus" is a mild expletive derived from "nondeju," which itself is a euphemistic contraction of "nom de Dieu" (French for "name of God"). Over time, it has become part of colloquial Dutch speech, especially in expressions of astonishment or irritation.
Similarly, "Donnerwetter" in German literally means "thunder weather" but is used idiomatically to express amazement or frustration, making it a fitting counterpart to "nondejus."
So, when a Dutch person says "nondejus," a German person might understand it as "Donnerwetter," both capturing a sense of mild exasperation or surprise.

On that day, almost everyone is dressed in Orange.
the first song they sing is called 'springen nondeju' (jump nondeju) (nondeju is an exclamation of impatience used in the east and south)
Snollebollekes
Yes I'm in
So just call the psychotherapist
Because the fuses blow
It ends in a madhouse
It's going to be a party
Like there never was one
the laminate is going to die
all the snollebollekes participate
Yes, all of us
We're going down, down, down (3x)
We're going down, low, low, low, low
And slowly up again (3x)
Jump nondeju!
Jump nondeju!
And now nondeju are singing!
It is a night
As even Guus didn't expect
The whole floor full of bottles
And you moped in the canal
That doesn't matter because you only live once
So take a shot at your panty
Nondeju there he goes again
We're going down, down, down (3x)
We're going down, low, low, low, low
And slowly up again (3x)
Jump nondeju
Jump nondeju
And now nondeju sing
Stop
And through the knees down
Slowlyslowly
Upwards
Slowlyslowly
And all down again
Slowlyslowly
Remember the knee straps
Upwards
Much faster
Down
Upwards
Down
Upwards
Heels nondeju!
Ohhh totally oe dormer window

God, nondeju!
Nondeju is a bastardisation of the French 'nom de Dieu', which means 'name of God', as in Jehova.
Hi The name Orange is the surname of our royal family, King Willem Alexander van oranje nassau.
De Leeuw op de vlag is ook symbool van ons nederland.
En deze film is op koningsdag opgenomen Dan vieren we de verjaardag van onze koning en daar komen ook hoop buitenlanders op af
I see that half of it is in English, sorry about that, but this was recorded on King's Day, then we celebrate our king's birthday and a lot of people from abroad come to join us in celebrating. There is a party throughout the Netherlands.
Dear teacher Paul
The reason why we love football so much is because we Dutch people love Dutch football so much.
Thank you, Michael!
De postmoderne klompendans van Nederland. Got to love it.

It reminded me of the "do the cha cha" song
Zullen we dat liedje lekker voor ons zelf houden asjeblieft.😜
@@Maya9396 😂😂😂😂😂
Ditnis niet in Duitsland. Dit is 538 koningsdag.
Our first leader and king was willem van oranje so our royal house color became orange ( you already said oranje so you know that one ) and thus it became our national color that we use in all sports our flag is red white and blue so you will see orange with a combo of red white an blue thats typicly dutch if you see that
Willem van Oranje was geen koning...
