Not a guitarist, but I own 3 different drum sets for the same reason! It really helps with mental blocks to be able to just switch over to the different mindset that different setups require. Thanks for the vid and the awesome playing
@@DaleEvangelista It's mostly by brand. I have a Tama set with a snare, 2 rack toms, a floor tom and a bass. A DW with 1 rack tom and a floor tom and bass. And an old Ludwig set that also has 2 racks and a floor, but no bass. I only have Meinl cymbals so I don't swap those out, but I also have a pearl maple snare. I'm not too sure about the woods used in the sets as I wasn't the one that bought them (inherited/gifted over the years) but they sound rather distinct from eachother which helps immensely when exploring different musical styles.
I did not know the Iconic brand, I was convinced that I had a Fender and had had a handcrafted neck modified and inserted to have a flatter radius. Congratulations on the video, it shows all your passion for the instrument. Greetings from Palermo👋😌
Thanks! Definitely, you’ll still sound like yourself no matter what you play. I’m just talking about from the perspective of the player, each guitar brings a different feeling 🤘
Hey Joshua. just wanna tell you that im thoroughyl enjoying your videos and your world :) Feels very comfortable and interesting here. Thank you for your efforts
I agree that different guitars will affect how you play. I have one I bend strings more often than others and one I do vibrato differently when playing it, etc. None of that was conscious, but stuff I noticed later So it depends on what I am playing & if I am playing with others. When I play the guitar I got when I was 18, I feel like I’m 18 again ( which can be good or bad)
Nice playing here... I am luck enough to work for the Smithsonian and have been making more money than I ever have in my life. While I am investing most of the surplus into retirement, I purchased a new Kiesel semi-hollow with their Holdsworth pickups installed, back in 2019. Quite a versatile instrument. Plethora of sounds to be had. Between that and older guitars, I have everything I could want...but wait...I play guitar...I make some decent money. What ought I do? Well, I'm going an inexpensive route this time and ordering three Squiers from Sweetwater. The baritone Tele, The Bass VI, and the Paranormal Jazzmaster 12 string. All still under $1500, collectively. Even with the fortunate luck of obtaining a decent career, I cannot justify the more pricy instruments. Music is a passionate hobby at this point in my life. However, I still want to create something new to me. I'm sure these will challenge my playing style. And I'm sure if they work out, there will be some mods happening as well.
Dude thank you so much for this video! It makes so much sense especially after trying to play guitars outside of standberg guitars lol. Recently got a PRS CE 24 (cause of my affinity for Opeth and Porcupine Tree haha) and yeah I definitely play different with each guitar lol. Is that a Plini strandberg in the background?
This interplay of musician to instrument has lead me to attempt designing out many of the "flaws" I have noticed in most of the so-called classic electric guitar designs. The objective is to remove as many limitation as may be possible while still allowing the instrument to be accepted as an electric guitar.
love your playing! do you have any tips for begginer where to start to play prog music like you for the first time and do you have any roadmap to learn this genre? i really like it since i been playing guitar for 10 years and i only stuck to play blues pentatonic, i wanna try a something new :)
Great video dude! I think another reason the tele feels so "direct" is due to the lack of a tremolo. The springs on a strat add a certain snap to the way it responds to a hard hit, but sacrifices some of the immediacy of a tele attack, and sustain of open strings. Love the backing track, is it available?
Just commented in a previous vid but found this! In your Solana vm what is the exact pickups if I were to buy them off of the iconic guitar’s website. Love your vids
The bigger the guitar collection is in proportion to the lack of talent. When you get real good you know chord inversion and Jazz guitar you only need one guitar to create any sound you want. Most of the noodling warriors repeat the same 3 chord noodle day after day through a multitude of pedals or helix and still sound crap.
Absolute utter nonsense! Go listen to Steve Vai and google how many guitars he currently has then listen to Andy Timmons playing but don’t look at his pedal board. It’s extremely narrow minded to determine what a lack of talent is by the size of a guitar collection. That’s absurd!
The most clickbaity title I have agreed with in my entire life. Bravo Joshua
The production level of your vids r always mind blowing
Great video! I'm gonna show my wife this so she won't question me anymore
Your Tele tone at 14:24 is so natural and crisp sounding. Definitely my favorite of the 3. Wishing I had my Nash T-52 back right about now...
A great tele is definitely something special
The production, the colours, the vibes, THE SMILE
Instantly subscribed :)
Always had that same feeling about the ergonomics of Teles. It's a nice change.

Drummer here! Curious on how you chose the 3 setup, is it the wood, brand or the config?

Really was drawn in by your great playing and unique note choices but stayed for the honest humble content. Subscribed!
that demo song was goddamn _smooth_ I really enjoyed it; great job man!

Yes! I looove my Larada 7 for exactly this reason - it inspires music that’s different to what i play on other guitars. Great video!
This is totally true. I have few different guitars and every one of them feels different, I write totally different music on each of them.
Wou, just bumped into your channel, your aesthetic and production quality is amazing!
Would love to see another video like this but going through all your guitars!
Still blows my mind how amazing you are, brotha. Nothing but love \m/
We need a video about your camera equipment and video production!
You are a Fantastic player & these videos help in so many ways!
Even if your playing change a bit with different guitars, I still can recognize you :) So that's a good thing I think
Thanks! Definitely, you’ll still sound like yourself no matter what you play. I’m just talking about from the perspective of the player, each guitar brings a different feeling 🤘
@@JoshuaDeLaVictoria yes, absolutely true!😁❤️
My favorite thing is seeing strat players reach for the non-existent trem arm on other guitars. 5:56
volume or tone adjustment possibly? or maybe just a rest
I just dont get, why you dont have more subscribers ! You play incredibly well and make awesome music. The videos are very stylish and just look good.
Hey Joshua. just wanna tell you that im thoroughyl enjoying your videos and your world :) Feels very comfortable and interesting here. Thank you for your efforts
FINALLY somebody makes some sense in this world.
I may put a Humbucker in one of my Strats.
I also subscribed.
You sound great, btw-
What a great topic and relevant thoughts about guitars - love it❤️. And by the way awesome playing!

Hey! I see more guitars back there (;
😅 I’ve got a few put away in cases too. I’ll have to do a vid about some of more specialized guitars I have
Haven’t started the video yet still on the ads but you know what you’re right I do need more 😎
Nice playing here...

killer video. definitely need this backing track too.

Now I can show this video to my wife when I try to spend all our money in more guitars.
loved the video bro! how do u manage the dust on ur guitars laying on the stand behing there?
😅
@@JoshuaDeLaVictoria im serious lol if i put mine on the stand they get all dusty and the strings dont last long

Thanks great stuff. Maybe a video about how you get that killer tone next 🙂
This was a Bogner Ecstacy 3534 capture I found on the QC 🤘
@@JoshuaDeLaVictoria Thanks for the reply. It's a lovely tone, particularly on the bridge humbuckers
I’m really interested to see you do a demo of the abasi pickups. Honestly how close can they pull off the strat sound.

Ahhhh yeah that’s interesting. I wonder how a hard tail strat would compare

Where did you get the tone knobs for your strat? They look cool
Is thatA Strandberg I see back there on the rack?
On your iconic solana are those the original knobs? They are very cool!!
How do these compare to your Strandberg in the back?
Great video. Stupid question: what chair do you use? Are you happy with it?
My guitar collection is a library of tuning. Name the song, I got the chasis for it.
I play differently on 6, 7 and 8s. Keeps life interesting
this video was bad for my bank account, but good for my guitar collection
That Stat neck look just like vanilla😋
I love the volume/tone caps on the strat. Where did you get them?
I wish I could afford more guitars..
Weird that you didn' talk about the thumping on the Larada! Completely differente style
Yeah, it ended up getting cut from the vid. I’ll have to talk about that another time🤘
Can you put the outro song on Spotify please ?
What bass and drum vst do you use
what strings do u use on that first guitar??
Anyone in here ever try a Strat style Kiesel? This vid kinda makes me want a Strat again
Dude plays two incredible Iconic guitars, and it makes you curious about a kiesel?
Yes, I tried them… but then I tried an Iconic 😂
get an iconic ;)
I had to sell my Abasi 8. Great guitar, but didn’t work for me. I love 7-strings but 8 is too many
Haha yeah it’s such a different thing
Hello DelaVictoria you like the DelaVictoria too right? Now quick question for you, do you like the come? Can it come to you? Gimme the come
hi what pick ups or brand did you put in your strat?
What sounds you used here?
is your body just glitching for hours on end?
I might be delirious but did you delete your video about your gear?
That slick riff at 15.22 🍆
What is the bump playing in the background?!?!?!?! Is nobody gonna acknowledge that?!?!?! Lmao
What computer monitor is that?
Different tunings also lead to different ideas. Do you always se standard tuning?
I’m 99.9% of the time in standard tuning. But, yeah I agree. I just need to mess with that more
What it do, nephew?
I’m honestly surprised that you don’t ever use a Gretsch because of the “hairy” style tones you usually go for.
I was thinking the same thing.
Need moar guitars
Say no more. I'm OK with the title.
Obligatory comment like and subscribe
dude gimme some money ill have 10 bruh hahahah ily man

No matter what you do and how you play, you're never going to get a strat sound out of an 8-string Larada, and vice versa.

It’s such a different sound. I think to get anywhere close you’d have to dramatically decrease the output of the pickups
