- Clocking in at 15-20% ABV and 120 IBUs, it's easy to see why we call this beer THE HOLY GRAIL for hopheads! 120 Minute IPA is boiled for a full two hours while being continuously hopped with high-alpha American hops, then dry-hopped daily in the fermenter for a month and aged for another month on whole-leaf hops.
First of all, after drinking this 120 for 10 years, this is the first I'm hearing about a bottle having two servings in it.

I can't wait to have a Publix by my house, they carry Dogfish Head! I had to drive an hour and a half to the nearest one to get a taste of this beer, across state lines, and as soon as it hit my lips, combined with a medium -rare steak, I knew it was worth it!

I just drank a bottle of this, cost me 9 bucks. It's weirdly sweet, like he said. Not my favorite beer, but I'm not a beer snob. On the bright side, I'm already tipsy after 1 beer.

Finally found this beer for the first time, can't wait to give it a try
After years of seeing and hearing about this, I finally bought one at a local distributor. It is sweet. Bitter, but not as bitter as I had imagined. Needless to say, I’ll be buying two more in the near future. One to try again soon because I almost never accept my first reaction to something, and another to let age.
Don't forget that NC needs to get out of the stone age! Can't wait to hopefully get my hands on one of these bottles some day

I was very intimidated by this when I first picked up a bottle, since most higher % abv beers go down pretty strong kind of liquor-ish. But it was a very pleasant surprise with how smooth this went down, probably best beer I've had. If not for price I'd pick it up more often. I been aging a bottle, saving it for a "special occasion" for a year now, unfortunately that special occasion has not arose, it will taste great when it does happen. cheers
I just opened up my 120 min IPA bottled in February 2018, it's now January 2021. Just shy of 3 years. Holy shit. It's amazing. It tastes like brown sugar and smells like prunes. Thick and malty, very little presence of hops so the bitterness has died down quite a bit. Extremely drinkable, very refreshing when chilled. This 18% ABV is literally kicking my ass as I type but I love it. I have two more bottles left from the 2/2018 reserve and will be saving the 4th bottle till 2028 for sure. Let's see how it progresses over these next few years. Not sure when I'll open up the 3rd bottle, maybe at year 7?
Finally found it in AZ.. $40 a 4pk, 15%, so happy to FINALLY find this on west coast.. ive been lookin for years, and this one is my "Continually Hopped" Unicorn.. :) enjoy friends!

I just tracked down a bottle for the first time tonight, and to put it lightly, I'm a giddy bastard right now, haha. Haven't popped it yet. Waiting for the right time, and hoping to get my hands on another bottle or two for aging. I dunno what will be more difficult, resisting the urge, or finding another bottle.
I wish I had seen this video before I downed 2 bottles in a couple of hours and threw up. Had some fun “drunk driving “ on Forza Motorsports ( X box), though. Seriously, 120 is one of my favorite beers I was pleasantly surprised about the sweetness, I was expecting more hop to be more bitter.

Not a big fan of IPA's in general... but holy shit this is good IPA. Almost a artificial grape flavor with a sweet after taste.

Living in the northeast I didn't realize how spoiled we were with craft breweries.
What is the preferable aging technique? Are we talking Paul Giamatti sideways ambient aging or just let it sit in the back of my beer fridge (hidden of course with an O'Duels label) until I finally remember it's even there?
California carries just about every beer that DFH makes, except for the 120. This needs to change!!

So do I understand correctly that you don't find 4packs of the 120m IPA like you would the 90m? I'm in the middle of trying to track down some 120 minute IPA, but want to know what to expect when I find it.
if my beer is already cold, should i store it for two years out of the fridge or will that skunk it?

Man I can buy entire cases of 60 and 90, but in the last 3 years I haven't been able to fine 120. If anyone has a source in northeast virginia please im me or reply to this message.

GTFO Sam when I buy the 120 I drink it! I do prefer some other beers DFH brews but we all need a good beating every now and again. The 120 deals out the punishment too!
