For context, Patrick Sebastien is a famous TV presenter for this show, "le grand cabaret" where he has been inviting thousands of artists from comedians, to singers, acrobats, magicians, ventriloquists and many many many more. This is a show that is on TV I believe several times a year. And he's great too, inviting celebrities. At the end he is joking "ah that's nice to see artists not taking themselves too seriously when interpreting my song (aka: she was way more serious than the tone or song in general), but yeah in France we love to banter and make fun of each other, especially when we are close.
Who ever requested this song, has really good taste. This performance is chef-d'œuvre!
This is a cover of a very popular (and technically low level) and funny political song from the showman, Patrick Sebastien, you see in the first frames. The contrast between the original th-cam.com/video/dboTHl6ELnY/w-d-xo.htmlsi=flSS7l-7Z6w_39po and Lara's version is probably the greatest surprise you could make for Patrick Sébastien. And hence the contrast for the knowing audience.
