The sing part must have been the most intriguing and time consuming part of this project! It’s most definitely unique but the first thing that I thought was how you’re gonna clean up all these small cracks! I always have 2-3 sponges near my outdoors kitchen. I leave them wet and especially during summer I go and sprinkle them with water to be always wet. All the bees from the garden are ALWAYS on these sponges and they are drinking water! They have a place to settle which isn’t dangerous for them to drank in water and the sponges are always soaked because I keep them wet and the outdoor kitchen in under a huge oak tree providing shade!
Such a treat when you post ❤. So so clever, creative , functional and beautiful. You three are always a magical team. I feel like everything you make could be inherited by your daughter due to its quality. Thanking for sharing another amazing creation 🎉
Watching your videos, I see I really should have became a landscape designer and married an architect...😂 The stuff you guys do is so cool!! I love diy house and garden things (well I don't like to do it but I like to have the completed product haha). But I wish I had the knowledge and ability to do what you guys do! It seems like a lot of fun working together too and applying your skills. Sending love to you and your sweet family.
Thank you! You don't need need a landscape/ architect degree to start work on house DIY and Garden chores to be honest, a lot we learnt at school in fact doesn't directly apply to such a small scale project we are doing here :) . at least my partner learn/acquires DIY knowledge via youtube nowadays, i am pretty sure after enough exposure you will get enough knowledge and be where want to be, cheers
You did such an amazing job. I just love it. I love your place it’s just so beautiful. One day I wanna build a house and garden like yours. I just love nature so much. I will soon turn 17 my birthday is coming up soon. I can’t believe I have been watching your videos since I was 14. I love you guys.
Love the sink - from 3D printing to get the pattern, form work then concrete to setup, very inspiring. It is just a couple of minutes in the video but it must be a lot of work.
Welcome back, I'm so happy to see your videos again. You guys always create impressive and wonderful DIY products. It seems like your daughter is also very interested in these jobs, which is really lovely ❤
I really think you guys are making an amazing couple, i love how you are able to apply your profession in your daily lives. it's amazing! this is fulfilling!
Your family is beautiful and the DIY works are amazing. I am always enjoying all the videos as they are very inspiring. It is remarkable to have skills that both of you have.
Another incredible video and impressive project! I always love your attention to detail in the design phase, plus the adaptable attitude if anything changes during the making of it. Thank you again for sharing these with us!
So lovely! I like how aged the sink looks already. I’m not sure exactly where you guys are in California, but it looks like a bit more rain is in the forecast, but your new potting station will be in full swing in the coming months! Thank you for sharing your work with us.
So creative and ingenious! Please consider getting a Hoselink! It’ll make your garden look tidy No more reeling garden hoses. It comes in a dark charcoal color that’ll match perfectly in your garden.
Welcome back! A question. With the pivot door being such a tight fit during the making, aren't you concerned that the door will get stuck due to expansion after being out in the rain?
This is good quesiton, the pivoting door hardware has a ball bearing inside, made out of metal, i think from hardness point of view should be much stronger than wood, so any deflection in the timber structure should not affect it by theory. The door it shelf has around 3/32" all the way around it, should be able to account for future expansion(hopfully)
Weird construction? You don't know what you are talking about. It is well designed. It's holding up well. The only thing weird is your comment. The tiles are light. Negativity will be your undoing.
what we used in the build is 2x2 redwood post, even though they tends to be filmsy looking, but wood has actually pretty good load capacity, for instance, even though redwood is not consider a strong wood species, it still have a compressive strength rating of 5000 psi (pound per square inch). So for a 2x2 profile, (2 is nominal width the actual width is 1.375") the cross section area is 1.375*1.375= 1.89 square inch. so by theory it should be able to carry 1.89*5000 = 9450 pound of load max. the total weight of the potting station is around 330 pound, and if it is divided by 8 legs it is on,then each of our redwood post is only carrying around 41.13 pound of load. 41.13

You are totally right, we probably spend 2-3 weeks on the sink part at least

You are amazing....
"It seems like not only water, but time can get lost in here."😂😂😂

Put the blue tape than do the silicone that will be clean finish
Yes! i learnt about this technic recently as well, will definitely do that next time
Suspect the maze will be history when more dirt get stuck in it.
The pressure washer will solve that problem.
hahaha, i get your humor, it might become the Lost City of Atlantis
I WANT THE SIZE OF THE WOODEN SLABS
i assume you mean the plywood tabletop? it is 2'x8'
NO, I MEAN ALL THE WOODEN@@galastudio9
the sink and tiles to heavy for this weird construction, my opinion

@@beany1944boards its to tiny, concrete sink its just on one of them, plus tiles plus 20-30l whater busket, plus flowerpot on table...
Should have used 2 by 4s for frame.

@@galastudio9 It seems to me that the weak point is the fastening, there is less than one square if divided by two. but i could be wrong
