Great review, and nice outfit too.
Yes, I'm sure in this market Honda has to go the extra mile to get a leg up on Toyota, especially in this Noah dominated category. At first glance, it almost looks like Honda is gunning for the Alphard, especially judging from the Stepwgn's proportions, front facia and mood lighting. It's a good looking van, although I am one of those who ABHORS the CVT. AWESOME move by Honda NOT putting the instrument cluster in the MIDDLE of the FREAKING DASH! (I'm looking at you, TOYOTA. Seriously... What the HELL were you all thinking?) Thanks for the clip! 👊😎
PS How in the Sam Hill do they change the timing belts on these vans, do they drop the engines?

A serena is way more spacious( cabin wise and boot space),bigger and more fuel friendly than a stepwagon esp the s-hybrid serena. Technology wise the serena is also a powerhouse, body wise all these vans in its range are fairly the same. Suspension wise as long as you buy genuine parts and dont do heavy off roading the car will eat parts at a fair rate....enginewise and gearbox...nissans have been given a bad name for long...they might have there issues but its not as extreme as many put it. Buying as serena doesn't mean the gearbox will fail or the car will loose power . ....anyone seeking to buy a car...any of the three options is a good bargain( stepwargon, serena and voxy)
All have their downsides and upsides...but there is no weak car amongst the three.

Honda is good in many ways but the problem is with the reliability of the engine, ground clearance, spare parts availability and the mechanics who actually know the car.
Toyota's engine may be a bit slower but it has a more robust engine, and a stronger body with more ground clearance, which is better suited for African road conditions. The spare parts are more easy to get and also because of the popularity of Toyota in Africa, the car repair mechanics are more widely available and pocket friendly. Another thing is the resale value, Toyota definitely has a better resale value.

How reliable is this car on off-road ?
Do a show on reliable off-road family cars - knowing our Kenyan roads (potholes and all) and how most Kenyans build far from the tarmac

Good review but the the rotary dial that you stated as the cruise control is the dial for the dash speedometer. The cruise control or button for stepwagon is on the steering wheel so if its not on the steering wheel, the car is not equip with it. Keep up the good work

I love Honda especially when it comes to fuel efficiency and accessories. The funny part is I own a 2014 Toyota Noah and 2018 Honda Jazz/Fit. I want to sell the Noah to get the Stepwagon
