This is one example of her being a class-act . She recognized the American people in Britain were grieving for the deaths on 9/11 and homesick as flights were all halted. So she broke tradition to preform a sweet gesture.
No world leaders anywhere have done anything even close to equally charitable as that.
Outside the U.S., Denmark is the only country to hold official 4th of July celebrations.
@@iamaloafofbread8926cause fireworks are cool as fuck, AMERICA, FUCK YEAH
As an American who remember the day of the attacks so vividly, this brought a tear to my eye. I’m going to play ‘God Save The Queen’ as a tribute to her. 🇺🇸🇬🇧🇺🇸🇬🇧🇺🇸🇬🇧🇺🇸🇬🇧
@@enzosantamaria1906 If you don't want to see political comments, don't watch political videos ret@rd...
I'm 29 and I was in third grade when 9/11 happened. I never met the queen but from what I saw she is highly respected. She broke a 600 year tradition to play our anthem. It was hard seeing that she passed. I believe she is in heaven with her husband. God bless you all.
21 years and this tribute still brings tears to my eyes.
As an American, Queen Elizabeth II was the only monarch in the world that I felt deserved my bow.
May she rest in a peace that so few of us ever find. She wasn't just a queen, she was _the_ queen.
Another reason why we in America also love the Queen. She was a true friend of our country.
As an irish-american, with family still living outside of Dublin....no, not all of us love the Queen, or the monarchy.
21 years later this tribute breaks me. I know we have a lot of problems in our country, but that still doesn't change the fact I love the United States and seen such solidarity tells me with so much pride and joy. Much love to you Brits out there
I truly believe that there will never be another British monarch like Queen Elizabeth. We truly lost someone great.
And we will always cherish and love the Queen for doing that. 🇺🇲🇬🇧
This Yank has nothing but respect for the Queen. Thank you for sharing her with the world
The Queen was a good person who cared for everyone. RIP.
A good person? You must be joking. How many children now adults survivors of satanic ritual abuse at the hands of skum like her
@@summerforever6736 Yes. Why don’t you try being born into that much pressure and power and doing a better job than her.
I thought it was a lovely, genuine gesture. As an adult, it was one of the most traumatizing days of my life. I will not forget such a move of solidarity. May the Queen rest in peace.
I remember watching that. I still have the same reaction today as my fellow Americans who were in London at the time. Queen Elizabeth is forever in our hearts.
Breaking 600 years of tradition is huge
UK ♥ Stay strong UK from america
Another wonderful example of the many wonderful things this truly wonderful woman did.
Queen Elizabeth not only broke tradition to honour victims of 9/11 in 2001. She broke many traditions, updated many traditions and set new traditions.
As an American to this day this tribute makes me cry. GOD REST HER SOUL.
Likely will remain the most memorable tribute and standing of solidarity of any nation during our darkest times. To break one of the most respected traditions that had occurred for nearly 600 years to show that the UK completely stands with the US, and to bring the stranded homesick American citizens in the UK at the time some form of strength in nationality is something special, and we found the Queen as someone we fully respected and loved with our hearts. Her death shook the world, but most especially the UK and US. We will never forget the tribute, nor will we forget 9/11. I won’t speak for my fellow Americans, but I love my Brits from across the pond. Y’all are wonderful. Thank you so much for all you do for us and with us in this modern age.
As a brit, to us it didn't feel like an attack on innocent people from a foreign country but an attack on our brothers and sisters, it still really cuts us up.
Regardless of what the UN thinks, we'd stand with you.
That is one of the best things she has ever done.
This hits harder as an adult living in the USA thank you Queen for your honor
@@F1shygames sorry I'm really sorry about it I kinda reply to the wrong person
@@F1shygames there's another person saying who you said to the queen is dead then he deleted it
That made me cry. I will never ever forget that day. It took almost 48 hours to find out if my son's grandparents, great grandmother and aunt were alive. We knew many people who died that day 😭
So sorry for your losses. May we never forget those who perished on that awful day.
This moment here, is what solidified my admiration and respect for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
May she rest peaceably in the arms of the Lord with Prince Phillip.
Oh say does that star spangled banner yet wave. God bless the queen . Your neighbors in The states mourn with you just as you did with us .
We don’t always see eye to eye with the British but I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again. This British are our only true brothers. God save the king 🇬🇧 🇺🇸 ❤️
R.I.P. Queen Elizabeth II 🇬🇧 and God Bless America! 🇺🇸.
She showed grace and compassion towards the U.S., and many Americans have made negative and disparaging remarks against the Queen after her passing. It’s shameful.
I don’t know of any Americans making such remarks. Most of those remarks came from people living in former British colonies now known as the Commonwealth of Nations. Many living in those countries blame her for colonialism although she isn’t responsible that.
The Spanish, French, Portuguese, Dutch ottamins, Russians and Americans have all "colonised" the British were just the best at it and had the biggest. I'm very proud of our history and I'd die in a second for the union, my king and my country. 🇬🇧🏴💖
So has many a British person. We know you guys over the pond generally thought well of her.
Thank you England
❤🇺🇸
We love you too
The only time I shed a tear about 9/11 on that day wasn't when I saw the planes crashing, the people jumping, or the realization that this meant war...it was when I got home and saw this. That's when I teared up. So thank you to our brothers and sisters across the pond. Always.
Isn't it all sad. Of course, this is a special tribute and really a unique one, but how can one not be teary-eyed thinking of the conditions that led to the people jumping?
@@jackkrauss on that particular day, the combination of shock and anger held off the grief and sadness.
@poeethics9331 I'm just speaking of my own experience, and I'm not taking anything away from what the queen did, but I think the jumpers/fallers shocked the world since they were also broadcast on live TV. No one saw anything like that before, and nothing since.
God bless the United kingdoms with Queen Elizabeth one of the greatest leaders in the world
That was one horrific day and I’m Canadian. Some Canadians were in those towers who commuted. Canada 🇨🇦 took *all* the planes that couldn’t land in the U.S. and that didn’t have enough fuel to turn back, such as Lufthansa almost at New York from Frankfurt.
We’ve always had your backs!
✌️☮️❤️
And we cherish you both as neighbors and family, our nations are like brothers. Along with remembering the horrors of that day we also saw the beauty humanity does possess, and the generosity Canadians gave stranded Americans a place to stay, to proud French chanting that day they were America, as well this beautiful gesture by the late Queen, is always a part of remembering that during dark times that we were hated, we were also loved. Going through that grief, we are grateful that you allowed us to find comfort in your company.
Thank you sincerely from a very grateful American ❤️
RIP Queen Elizabeth II! Thank you I remember when this happened!!! God bless Elizabeth and Charles🇬🇧💛🇺🇲
A beautiful acknowledgement from the QUeen of England. A very gracious, may she rest in peace.
As a proud American & having lived during 9/11, this heartfelt tribute showed such respect for the USA & I will always be deeply grateful for the Queens sweet gesture as well as her coming over immediately after 9/11 occurred.❤❤❤❤❤ 🇺🇸🇬🇧
Very classy. I don't even know what else to say. Love from America.
We'll never forget that. It meant so much to us.
Your Majesty, this Scottish American am so grateful for actions as this comforts Americans significantly- as GB is our beloved brotherhood in the world
I remember watching this one the news, and it had me absolutely floored. To this day I am grateful to the British and to her late Majesty. RIP
As an American, I will never forget that. God bless the Queen and all of our brothers and sisters in the U.K.
Should Britain ever have problems with enemies be it terrorists or not you have my respect and resource should it be requested or needed, we are allies and stand with you shoulder to shoulder.
Thank you for your comfort Your Majesty at a time your country’s former colony needed it the most.
Go off into the next life where your beloved Philip waits for you. Your work on Earth is over.
I was just 2 blocks from the towers when the first plane hit. I'll never forget that day.
I’m so sorry; I can only imagine the terror you felt that day. I was over a thousand miles away watching it on tv and I’ll never forget the emotions.
OMG how sad, I couldn’t imagine the sorrow you endured, no one will forget that day especially the people affected by the disaster. God bless and give you strength ❤️🇦🇺
She spoke up when really needed like Batman getting a bat signal. She knew the value of offering comfort during hard times. I'm sure life during and after WWII taught her that.
🌹🙏MAY SHE REST IN PEACE 🙏🌹
She loved America and we loved her
Your majesty. May you rest in eternal peace. I may be a us citizen. But i am more than willing to live in a kingdom that you ruled. May the road you take lead you home, your majesty. Love and prayers from the states
Americans not only loved, respected and admired Her late Majesty Queen Elizabeth but we love, respect and admire our British friends, closest allies and cousins across the pond. 🇺🇸❤🇬🇧
Thank you Queen Elizabeth the second for your support!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
Still get teary eyed.
She may be gone but as an American she was my queen
Britain lost people that day as well. A loss in common.
Class. Total class act. 🥰
here it is 22 years later and I did not know about this.
Oh my gosh, this always makes me burst out in tears. That was such an overwhelming, horrific day, and we were all so terrified, because we didn’t know if something else was still coming. All these years later, and sometimes that initial horror just rears up out of nowhere. It was very, very touching to receive such heartfelt support from other nations, and it has always meant more than they might know.
I specifically looked this up, thinking of the other countries who grieved with us that day, and showed us great solidarity, support, and love. Also, I just have to say I always admired Queen Elizabeth. What a lady. God rest her soul and the souls of those who were lost that day, 23 years ago.
Never forget 9/11 & R.I.P queen Elizabeth
What a classy lady ⭐️
Im an American but GOD BLESS HER SOLE GOD BLESS THE QUEEN to all the British people it is emotional for even us Americans at the death of the Queen 🇺🇸🇬🇧
As an American, I love that Her Majesty Queen Elizebeth II had so much respect for America. I very much appreciate that she broke tradition to support us in our moment of need. God bless our British friends!
Makes me cry every time ❤
Powerful
RIP Queen Elizabeth II.
As a American I’m proud of queen Elizabeth the second, she was dealt a hand and played it with perfection!
My brothers from across the pond, you should be celebrating and not morning... she would be disappointed!
“Keep calm and carry on” every thing will be alright!

She was a wonderful lady.
they played from memory. there weren't any music holders. that is even more respectful. thank you for your support, british people.
Extremely honorable
I'm a colonist...and I still feel like I lost MY queen! 😞
She leaves some really big shoes that no one will be able to fill.
I can't say just how I miss her.
The song really is beautiful when played on instruments like that.
I didn't cry when she died but I was legitimately sad. Her Majesty was a great person. Americans loved her
God bless the UK
The Queen Mother was alive when 9/11 happened. A person born in 1900 saw 9/11
God, this video takes me right back to those days when most of the world was just absolutely stunned to silence over what had happened.
Seeing Brits play and honor our national anthem was emotional.
To our fellow Americans who fell during these attacks, to the innocent, lost lives, of family, friends, neighbors, children, even animals, like dogs and cats, to the men and women, to our military soldiers, who died during the Afghan war, and all war for heroes, and to the terrorists who did not want to attack us, may your bodies, your happiness, and your souls,
Rest, in peace.
This world is really a horrific place, full of evil, it also has a lot of happiness in it, too, but the light inside of us, and others, hopefully, one day, will be restored, and the darkness, will, just, disappear. Every year we honor this one day, and will for the passing for Queen Elizabeth II, and many others, too, but this one day in particular, we will never forget the screams and terror, we give this day a name: The September 11th Attacks, or 9/11, for short. To George Herbert Walker Bush, Barack Hussein Obama II, Joseph Robinette Biden Jr., and all our other great presidents out there, we all thank you for your service. To those who fought beside their brothers, and watch them die in front of their very own eyes, during WWII, WWI, The Vietnam War, Revolutionary War, Civil War, Korean War, Afghan War, and all other wars, may god be with you all, and your souls, Rest In Peace.
May the true queen Rest in peace.
Coldstream guards - use to live there for couple years
Rip
No greater American ally. Aussies are in the running!!
Elizabeth II R the Great.
600 years of tradition in solidarity with the US?
Um no, of course not. The 600 year old tradition is that the changing of the guards NEVER played the national anthem of a foreign country before. But then again, I'm not sure countries even had anthems 600 years ago. Buckingham Palace didn't even exist 600 years ago, either.
RIP great woman she will be miss
I remember that we had a service at St. Paul's after the attacks. At Westminster Abbey the choir sang Battle Hymn of the Republic for only the second time, the first was after JFK was killed.
Awww x
This must have been so comforting for thise Americans visting london at this time to hear their national anthem being played. Im glad the queen had asked for this. You can see thoae people were viaibly upset. Must have been horrendous.
That terrible tragic day , September 11, caused pain in our hearts. And to this day, this inexpressibly smoldering flour lives in them. We sympathize with the mighty America, its people, with all those who lost relatives, loved ones, unforgettable in the burning crucible of two collapsed "twins". We are sorry and compassionate! We pray for all those who help the bleeding Ukraine - my homeland. Thank God! Glory to Ukraine! Let the USA live! Amen. Russia. the city of Vladivostok
❤
the queen broke tradition
and at least five Israelis nearly broke their necks dancing and high-fiving each other.. lighting lighters like it was a concert
They want it all to go away now. No mention, no investigation. Most people don't even observe 9/11 in any way. The small hats and their buddies in the kingdom of Saud really got away with it.
9-10-01 , Rumsfeld's speech , 2.3 Trillion missing
And billions missing from Marsh and McLennan....shhhh...it was guys who could barely fly and their passport was found on the sidewalk near the tower, from a vaporized Jumbo Jet.
I don’t Britain will have as good of a ruler as Elizabeth II
Isn't it awesome how 200 years ago on 9/11 British people and monarch played the USA anthem?
True queen
And they had a king over them, which is the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue hath his name Apollyon. Revelation 9:11
God save the queen
And all those Americans at the ufc booed her death, classless🇬🇧
You know you done fucked it up when another country plays another national anthem
*and drink the Kool-Aid from the Reserve Bank?*
I don't really know about this tradition being 600 years old. 600 years ago, the King wasn't even a year old yet. The country was ruled by an infant. Henry Vi was 1. And there was no Buckingham Palace.
It's an English tune believe it or not
She also flew the British flag at half staff in Honor of JFK.
There’s an acre of ground at Runnymede, Surrey, England, with a monument dedicated to President Kennedy. It was unveiled by the Queen in 1965 in the presence of Jacqueline Kennedy, Caroline and John Jr.
Man, she lived through the Depression, WW2, Korean War, Vietnam, 9/11, War on terror, etc
