I did a similar one myself once for me it was more of a last of their species thing though as i played as an alien child and locked a random sim into a basement locked their needs and just played with the alien kid

This is an interesting let's play, it's sort of tragic but bitter-sweet. Harry's wonderful in ways he shouldn't have to be, being a kid, but I like that his mum began to give up alcoholism. I'd like to see this family develop. I'm interested to know who Harry could grow to be, and what he'd do with his life. A philanthropist perhaps?
I’ve only watched 5 minutes so far and I feel such an emotional connection with Harry I know that he is a fictional character but I can’t help but feel somewhat sad. 🤷🏽♀️

I love the way you built up the house, Harry’s room being last. It really builds into the story of how he wanted a better life for his sister. It’s really cute.
I did something similar. With MCCC, you can enable child support. You can also adjust how much child support you get. I ended up making the most ratchet sim I could think of who cared only about getting busy, didn't care about unwanted pregnancies and didn't want a job. It was fun, making a dysfunctional household.
Yeah I was playing a legacy challenge once.. And the gnomes just kept giving me seeds it was a touch time consuming but really an easy way to become rich
The most interesting thing is that even a toddler can bring money into the house. For example, collecting shells on the beach. I still remember how I created a family of 7 toddlers and one adult, where I forced them to work for me while I was sitting at home
damn i feel this on a personal level, i was like harry growing up, my mom did pills and was either passed out or didn’t even recognize me, i started working at 12, and left school in 9th grade, here i am about to be 18 making 27 dollars a hour, my dad is my best friend and my mom is no longer in my life. this brought back so many feelings i didn’t even know i had. sadly my mom never got sober and chose to lose everything she had to pills.
Thanks for sharing your story I'm sorry you lost your mom like this. But you did the right thing removing her from your life. I learned this from many people who have dealt with addiction in the past. I had a similar mom like yours, but with alcohol.. and lacking a dad I have gone down the same path for awile. But I embraced recovery at some point and I'm clean and sober for 4 years now. I consider myself lucky because not many get to live and tell.
Why don’t you blame your dad at all in this clearly he wasn’t around to help your mom or you and probably just took advantage of a woman messed up on pills what a great guy.
@@sugarblunt he was too busy working trying to make sure i had a roof over my head. he didn’t take advantage of nobody. he tried to save her and put her in rehab 4 times. you can’t help someone that don’t want help.
@@sugarblunt my dad has had cancer, 3 heart attacks, lost his right eye. my dad tried his best but when your going through cancer and your wife is cheating on you with a meth head you kinda lose all hope. He thought he could change her and has helped her over the past 20 years she has did nothing but stole, lied and used everybody she had in her life because she would rather get messed up on pills then have a life. My dad was a contractor for 30 years then bought a apartment complex no matter what he supported her even when she continued to fu** us over. a person can only take so much. he tried to help, he tried to change her but when it comes to a Addict You can’t change who they are, they have to want to change themselves. I could never blame my dad for what she did. THE ONLY thing i blame him for is staying with her for as long as he did.
After watching mostly American/Australian simmers, this is so refreshingly British 😂😂😂 “she’s got better over the years, she used to be addicted to crack! Every cloud” made me laugh haha 😂 This could be a family where I live haha 🙈🙈
Can you download mods? Always fun to experiment with some good mods! Or use cheats to make weird things happen. With MC Commands, I made 2 sims who must've been virgins cause they hadn't flirted with anyone, each go into labor with triplets. Fun times. Too many Toddlers: Taking care of 6 babies or toddlers is hard enough, but you can do it with more toddlers if you like, and only one adult, for extra chaos. Homeless/Runaway: You could try to play with homeless or runaway sims... I'm not sure if there's a way to play with sims without a home, so you can either keep them off their lot without moving them out, or have them move into empty lot, that maybe you can disguise as a park or an abandoned building. Unemployed? No Problem!: idk about you but I think it's a bit more fun to have a sim stay home and work or make money while going out and about! Similar to this challenge, have your sim make enough money to provide for themselves & also any children or younger siblings who live with them, maybe even improve their lifestyle, without ever actually getting a job. Like an unofficial freelancer. I have a sim who's technically unemployed but really works as painter, and I love it! I started her off with no skills, and she immediately got addicted to it. With multiple easels in the house, she'd make 3 or 4 paintings and then I'd have her sell them all, and it didn't take too long before it was making her some decent money! Death Traps: Self-Explanatory, and if you've ever watched Graystillplays you'll know they can be a lot of fun. I'd try to focus on designing a house with one particular way of killing sims. Preferably a more surefire way like starvation, drowning, laughter, etc. You can also find them on the gallery. I trapped 4 humans and 4 aliens in a "house" which was really a deep giant pool with a little island that only had the most basic and BARE MINIMUM necessities. The bathroom was underwater and was almost as bad. Since 8 sims shared one uncomfortable single bed, almost none of them got enough energy. There was nothing fun to do but swim, and I'd force them to swim anyway. Eventually an Alien won. Not before his share of trauma though.

An apocalypse struck the sims 4 worlds (or just the world you play in if you're not a builder/don't wanna make every building rundown) and society has collapsed. You can't have a job, go to school and bonus points if you have the extreme violence mod for sims who've gone insane from the apocalypse. What the disaster was is your choice: nuclear war, alien invasion (bonus points if you make a bunch of alien sims), a meteorite strike and all sorts of apocalyptic events! you have to adapt to them though. for example: -Nuclear War: you can't go out for a long period of time because it's too radioactive. you have to be off the grid too. -Alien invasion: off the grid + you can only go out if you have alien accessories on you (maybe the aliens control the world and only spare people who agree with their regime or maybe they want to exterminate humanity and you have to disguise yourself)
Try a generational challenge like not so berry, or create your own. I’m making my own challenge that lasts for 10 generations and it’s the most fun I’ve had playing the Sims.
I used to work for a HUGE gaming company a long time ago and attended the E3 gaming conference one year. I actually talked with the EA Games people and told them that they need to come up with challenges because it gets boring. I loved playing Brandi in Sims 2 back in the day because of the challenge in the storyline.
@@nobodycares1134 The mod is basemental drugs mod. There are many places to get. I would try Nexxus mods first. There are many BS sights out there so be careful. Look up modding Sims 4 on TH-cam for good tips and info on how to do it. Also good modding sights. I would do it manually as well. It's not hard once you learn how to do it. Good luck👍
Whenever something in your personal inventory doesn't sell, using multiselect usually helps. That's how I usually get rid of the earphones without having to put them in world or any stubborn things that aren't easily drag and sellable. Try that with the the dyes in the inventory

I’ve noticed that with the sims personal inventory, when you have things you can’t click & drag to sell, you can use the “multi select” button and sell them that way. Love your videos! Need a Part 2 of this! Teen years!! ❤️❤️😄😄

3:59 I had an idea! We could have the option "Focus on homework" by clicking on it or on the Sim. The Sim's fun would deplete alot faster but they wouldn't multitask. Sims with knowledge aspirations would have an easier time with this while Sims with other aspirations would have varying degrees of difficulty/ease with it.

When TS1 came out, I had a similar idea of having kids make money for the household, but i couldn't make it work. It was mainly because kids couldn't do much in that version.
This challenge made me play sims 4 more. Im currently doing my own version of this challenge and the kids names are Caio (yeah inspired by the kids show Caillou) and Heroine (yeah the drug, i imagined the mom being really out of it while the doctors asked the childs name)

Ive done the 100 baby challenge where my first born was basically my live on babysitter. She did literally everything. to the point where my sim barely fed or bathed the toddlers. Was a great help til she aged up and moved out😭😭😭
One thing I will never understand is why people have kids when they know that they can’t afford or take care of them. Or have kids just to not care about them

Try a generational challenge like not so berry, or create your own. I’m making my own challenge that lasts for 10 generations and it’s the most fun I’ve had playing the Sims.
I used to work for a HUGE gaming company a long time ago and attended the E3 gaming conference one year. I actually talked with the EA Games people and told them that they need to come up with challenges because it gets boring. I loved playing Brandi in Sims 2 back in the day because of the challenge in the storyline.
I liked the mods in this. The smoking, which I have, and the busted walls which I want. The poor boy reminded me of Lex Luther.
The busted walls are actually part of werewolves!
Where do you get the smoking from?
@@nobodycares1134 The mod is basemental drugs mod. There are many places to get. I would try Nexxus mods first. There are many BS sights out there so be careful. Look up modding Sims 4 on TH-cam for good tips and info on how to do it. Also good modding sights. I would do it manually as well. It's not hard once you learn how to do it. Good luck👍

idea: when you revisit this family in a later video, update their wardrobes to really symbolize their moving up in the world
Whenever something in your personal inventory doesn't sell, using multiselect usually helps. That's how I usually get rid of the earphones without having to put them in world or any stubborn things that aren't easily drag and sellable. Try that with the the dyes in the inventory

“I sold it.” The teacher answers back in confusion “w-what do you mean you sold it?”
He looks at her in confusion now “what don’t you get I. Sold. It.” The teacher looks back at him astonished “that project costed almost $100 dollars to collect supplies for each student and-and you sold it!?” He looks back up at her and says “yeah.” The teacher then takes a deep breath and asks “may I ask why?” He changes his face to have sort of a frown “wel we don’t have a lot of money so I sold it so we won’t be poor” the teacher changes her face to worried look and Harry continues to speak “oh and to afford to make TH-cam videos” the teacher is speechless…then she leaves the room and she goes to cry in the bathroom.

I’ve noticed that with the sims personal inventory, when you have things you can’t click & drag to sell, you can use the “multi select” button and sell them that way. Love your videos! Need a Part 2 of this! Teen years!! ❤️❤️😄😄

3:59 I had an idea! We could have the option "Focus on homework" by clicking on it or on the Sim. The Sim's fun would deplete alot faster but they wouldn't multitask. Sims with knowledge aspirations would have an easier time with this while Sims with other aspirations would have varying degrees of difficulty/ease with it.
I'd love to see a second video of this family!! It's an interesting concept and the aspect of having to earn money as a kid makes things challenging and fun! Really enjoyed this video :)

If you turn on multiselect in the inventory you should be able to sell the dye and other things that you can't drag-delete.

When TS1 came out, I had a similar idea of having kids make money for the household, but i couldn't make it work. It was mainly because kids couldn't do much in that version.
Pleeease revisit this family in the future! Getting a pool is a great idea and some landscaping and more curtains 😳

This challenge made me play sims 4 more. Im currently doing my own version of this challenge and the kids names are Caio (yeah inspired by the kids show Caillou) and Heroine (yeah the drug, i imagined the mom being really out of it while the doctors asked the childs name)

Ive done the 100 baby challenge where my first born was basically my live on babysitter. She did literally everything. to the point where my sim barely fed or bathed the toddlers. Was a great help til she aged up and moved out😭😭😭
