    I really dig the tiny Case traditionals. There is just something about having a classy little gem like that warming your pocket. Hoping to collect one of each model in that 3.25ish range. Love the wormwood jigging on that butterbean.

    I enjoy collecting small case knifes. I started with the Texas Tooth Picks then continued to other series. It can be an expensive hobby getting started depending on your income but you'll never lose your investment either once you have established a desirable collection. I try to keep mine as an entire collection. Some people sell of one aspect or series of there collection a bit at a time. Now that I'm 70 I am looking at the possibility of doing that, I won't be around forever. When you enjoy something so much for so long it's hard to find a stopping point and begin reversing it. Thanks.

    Cool little dudes. Almost Burt sized.

    I thought Burt would have sold those in his auction last week! They're tiny like him ;). Ummm... I don't really like to mention stuff like this in a public forum, but a couple of those blades are all nasty and stained up. It's called "maintenance" 1all... Geeeezzz!!! Ever heard of Flitz?!?!

      Haha! I have a short vide planned on the Burt auction. ;)
      Nasty? That's not nasty...that's called use brother!

    So is Chrome Vanadium the same as Carbon steel?

    Excellent video Sir! My collection has a TinyToothpick-shaped hole that I need to fill soon... I must admit that the Tiny Trapper looks like a very useful option for a UK knife person, but if I'm honest, the baby Butterbean is by far the stand-out star of this show,
    Green is my favourite colour too, and that particular green is gorgeous. The big thing for me with the Baby Butterbean pattern is the combination of a tiny pen blade with a much heftier main blade. A massive thumbs-up from me :-)

      Thanks!! Yes, the Baby Butterbean is a big-time beauty (try saying that fast 5 times, ha!). It's probably my fav of the bunch as well (& in the pocket right now). The Tiny Texas Toothpick is also grand (as are the Tiny Trapper and the Sm Stockman). But if I could only keep just one...it'd no doubt be the Butterbean! :) Thx for watching and commenting my fine English friend! :)

    I like the Baby Butter Bean most. The Canoe pattern is one of my favourite styles, although I like the single blade traditional knives more.

      I like them all... A lot! But the Baby Butterbean might be my fav too. Maybe... ;)

    Someone get this man a Case Peanut! He doesn't know what he is missing!

    • @1allspub
      @1allspub  9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Haha! Yeah, I specifically chose the Tiny Trapper over Peanut (both being 2-bladed knives opening from the same end of the knife) because of the Tiny Trapper's Spey blade (the Peanut's Pen blade is pretty common and I already have it on both the Sm Stockman and Baby Butterbean). The Spey is just a cool looking/different blade. Plus the Tiny Trapper is smaller than the Peanut, which I tend to prefer in these little Cases. That said, I'm sure I'll end up with a Peanut someday. ;-). Thanks for watching and commenting...much appreciated.

      1all's Pub
      The Peanut is one of Case's "Legendary Blades" and has a major following. Personally, I prefer the tiny trapper and the butterbean as well. But Peanut people are like Glock people, its all they see! :D
      The knife that sees the most pocket time of mine is the Case Pocketworn Sowbelly.
      I bought one of the GEC EO 85s about a year ago, and it got that flat spot in the middle of the blade from hitting the spring. Despite the GEC hype, it has made me distrust them. I stick exclusively to Case now.

    Great vid! I was actually looking at the tiny trapper the other day. But yup, I find myself using the coin pocket size knives the most. Mostly an Alox Cadet for me. Carries like it's not there, and generally people don't freak out when you take it out to use it.

    • @1allspub
      @1allspub  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, they are very work friendly knives. Even somewhere that has a stupid "No Knives" policy these rarely raise an eyebrow. If you're at all tempted to grab a Tiny Trapper, do so...it's a great little knife.

    American traditional pocket knives are definately my EDCs here in the UK, when I am out and about on the street. Thankfully most of my time is spent out in the sticks helping to run a large shooting estate, so bushcraft and larger fixed blades are carried mainly by me. All the same I am afraid the traditional knives have nudged my collecting gene( blame Rob B and the gang for that), these little well engineered gems are works of art in their own right. Good American tool engineering, although I do like GEC for quality.

    Traditionals should be cheap if they don't want to center them and they make millions.
