This guy is showing up everywhere. 2 years ago I would not be able to say a single movie he was is but now he’s been in Darkest Hour, Ready Player One, Rogue One, and is rumored to be in Captain Marvel. He’s a great actor and I can’t wait to see more of him!

Weird to put those two in the same category. Yes, Goldblum is a good actor, but he's always essentially Goldblum, whereas Mendelsohn is a revelation in everything he's in.

Bloodline, Netflix, family in Florida running a resort on a beach. Sissy Spacek is the matriarch. He's the black sheep of the family.

I first came across Mendelsohn in Mississippi Grind. The film is definitely indie but he is amazing. Rogue One was cool but I think the role was actually beneath his abilities.

The Star Wars films, as much as I love them, are not actors' films. They are there for the sci-fi-fantasy experience in all its glorious cheesiness, and the actors are there not for the juicy roles but for Star Wars. Watch any Rogue One interview and see what a fanboy Mendelsohn is.
Ben Mendelsohn is in roles in which he plays a corporate like in Ready Player One, The Dark Knight Rises, etc. If he ever get a role to play in any future Alien movies, maybe he can play a corporate member of Weyland-Yutani corporation.

Prob a bit nervous I'd say!
He hates interviews, very shy and private person. He has said in the past it's the worst part of his job.
A photographer once said after a shoot that he was a super nice guy but a nightmare to photograph because he never sits still.
I think he just feels uncomfortable with praise. He's seem relaxed until Seth showers him with compliments and he feels weird about it. i think he's just a humble dude

I dunno. Watch his other interviews. He's got that very dry Aussie humour, and he's a bit of a fidgeter...I just think he can't believe his luck. I mean after early fame in Australia, which gradually petered away a bit ... to get that massive international break with Animal Kingdom at an age when many actors are seriously re-considering their options - I'm stoked for him.

@habbogigi I also tend to disagree with you same as @Memorandom. I re-watched Rogue One just last night (hadn't watched it since it released last year), and it is really not *that* bad. There are plot holes and acting is not top-notch, but on a certain level the movie makes a lot of sense (much more so than The Force Awakens). And Ben Mendelsohn played the role of Krennic - arrogant, entitled and pushy as any top-ranking Imperial - really well. Along with Alan Tydik's K2SO his was easily the best performance.
People don't realize how bad Star Wars original trilogy was back then! The acting and the dialogue wasn't exactly masterpiece theatre. Most people that watched it then and now were much younger and let's be honest, never seen anything like that at the time. It's become nostalgic and the tricky part of nostalgia is that things look nicer or feel nicer than how they originally were. That's why people love music from their time more than music from now.
