I've been wanting to make this video for so long, and I'm happy to say I finally did, even if it took a while to make. Rumbelle is my ultimate OTP, my very first, and very top ship. I'm terribly sad that their story is over, but I couldn't have wished for a better 'happy beginning' for these two.

Once upon a time, there was a beast who took a girl prisoner. But he fell in love with her. And then he let her go. That is when the girl realized that she loved him, too.
He thought he would never see her again.
But then he did.
She came back and kissed him dearly
You made me cry with that line. It's so beautiful. One of the best episodes in season 7 if not in the entire show 😍💕❤️😢😭
But the kiss made the darkness deep within the beast fade away. The beast, scared by the vision of losing dark magic and gaining weakness, rejected and ordered her to leave his castle.
That relationship is a rollercoaster from start to finish
It worked though! Most fans accept rumbelle as a couple. CS is a couple that worked only for a small minority of fans.
I feel that the thing that finally brought them together was there son gideon and there love for him.

This ship had a lot of potential, but the writers consistently would default on "Rumple evil again, Belle sad!!" for drama and it got exhausting because it was so paper-thin. What kept me hooked was Robert's acting because he HECKIN OWNED EVERY LINE THEY GAVE HIM WHOOOO!! Still my fave ship from the show, because when it was done well it was layered and unusual and poignant and beautiful
"I would never hurt you Belle...Never." That hit me hard. She is the only person that could doublecross him and come out unharmed because he does love her
Carlyle is the best actor ever. Hands down. I love that man. His style in character development is phenomenal and his work is thoroughly educated as well as personal; he knows how to make a role his own. He said Skin Deep (S1EP12) was the best 42 minutes of tv time he's ever been a part of and you can tell he put his everything in that episode. This character is his best work to date. I watched all the way through the show ONLY for Rumbelle. I actually ended up loving Season 7, the plot was brilliant and I thoroughly enjoyed it, and I am in love with Weaver! To see him as so many different roles (Rumplestiltskin (the man), The Dark One, Mr. Gold, Wish Realm Dark One, Hero (when the Author wrote him as a hero), the Rumple who chooses to live a mortal life with Belle, and then Weaver) is extremely admirable. nly someone with impeccable acting technique can successfully pull that off, and he did. Legend. Would love to meet him one day.

Marie Whitbread yikes. i saw part of that. season six ended so perfectly. it was beautifully celebrating happy beginnings. season 7 literally leeched off of the very same concept, and it was like i was watching the same thing over again, just more poorly written. like. regina did say “no. more like a second chance.” to emma but we all know that’s extremely cliché knowing that that’s her one millionth chance. don’t get me wrong, i love regina. but i definitely still think it went downhill after season six ended. idk why they decided to make a season seven 😣 plus it was just depressing seeing how empty the castle was for regina’s coronation compared to snow white and charming’s wedding in season one
@@tejukanaparthy i just wanted to say if you haven’t watched s7 still you should at least watch ep4. I also watch and rewatch ouat mostly for rumple and belle and that episode was heartbreakingly beautiful. It brought me back to the writing of the first three seasons
Last day on netflix. I'm going to watch s1ep12 again. All the things you mentioned about Carlyle I fully agree!

Beautiful. I just hated the fact that they were constantly going back and forth over the series. I enjoyed the first three seasons and a few bits in the future seasons. But a part of me wishes they had ended with their wedding. Rumple constantly going back to the dark side whenever the plot needed it got a bit old. Still, it is a sweet couple.
Yeah. I really missed that innocence and sweetness in their relationship of the first three series, more or less till their wedding or the honeymoon. Then something went wrong. Mostly after Belle's disillusionment. The first part of season five, with Rumple's "toughening up" was quite good, to show us that he could cope and be a good and brave man without his dagger, but after... it was a downfall. Why did he have to get back being the dark one? He and Belle could have a nice life together. She would have gone back to him if he'd waited a little (as she did, unaware that he's the dark one again.) After that it wasn't the same between them. Something was lost. Some innocence, some youth... I don't know.
@@weeyoulee Yep. Skin deep is still my favorite episode. I thought it was so clever and sweet. I dont see why they had to ruin it. (Well besides lack of ideas for plot). Once really should have stopped while it was ahead. felt post season three they were beginning to lose steam and recycle storylines.

@@tejukanaparthy 😀😀 I watched the whole series this spring and summer on Netflix. I've never heard of it earlier.
I know a lot of people don’t like the direction they took rumbelle in seasons 4-6a but to a certain extent I’m glad they taught me relationships aren’t always easy and it’s the love you have to fight for that makes it worth it. Emilie once said in an interview that it was the low moments that made the high moments feel so good. Skin deep was a terribly tragic start to the rumbelle ship and i think it set the stage for this theme of this ship as struggle and tragedy with a tiny glimmer of hope and faith that kept them going and me holding on. Idk maybe it’s bad but I don’t think it told a great story.
This is the best couple in the whole series. Robert was the best actor in this, he portrayed Rumple's character perfectly and I honestly want them to be happy and to have their happily ever after.

Really wish the writers hadn’t made Rumple “evil“ whenever they needed him to be for the plot, but Rumple and Belle are still one of my favorite couples of all time.

This is my second favorite couple (sorry, but I just can't with Captain Swan) (and then you say: omg that's soooo cliche, but no, it's not, 'cause I only ship them 'cause Killian (Hook) is the cuttest man in the world and did everything for Emma, and it's only for this reason, 'cause I HATE Emma, yes, I hate her, man, Killian did everything for her and when he does ONE LITTLE THING WRONG she is just cruel with him)
I cried the most I had ever cried for a fictional character when Belle had died (7x04) she was and forever will be my favorite Disney and OUAT character
The ideas the writers had for this series were really incredible. From watching the show, putting these two together really made sense and it was a wonderful way to introduce "Beauty and The Beast" alongside the other fairytales going on.

This is the best rumbelle video I have seen so far. I love it congratulatons!! I also love Rumbelle´s relationship, how she keeps him out of the dark, and he keeps loving heer no matter what. They made mistakes in the past, but who hasn´t? They learned to love persons opposite to them. She found the man behind the beast, he discovered the man inside him thanks to her. They had their falls, but they came back together because it´s true love. This is my favourite rumbelle edit and I thank you for creating this wonderful video. Truly made me cry.

What I need is just the entire series spliced so Rumple is the main character, or better yet, Belle being the main character but it cutting to Rumple as the dark one quite a bit. Him, and then Belle too, are the only reason I liked the show so much. Emma is honestly kind of boring, Snow is infuriating at being wishy washy, Charming is boring, Regina basically never developed a personality besides never learning a healthy way to love and never having the need to control everything. Rumpelstiltskin is an intriguing character who wars different masks and has more depth to him than all the other characters combined, and I just give the actor the credit there. Belle is his grounding which is tremendously important. Also, I just love the way he changes around her. Rumple is basically the only one that was carrying the show for me. Sadly, the show kind of died in my eyes when "Lacey" showed up. It just deeply violated the character. I wanted right then for Rumple to up and kill Regina, and I found it very out of character for him not to do that, particularly when "Lacey" liked his dark tendencies. Instead he just randomly beat people up, but for some reason the "main characters" didn't give two shits when they would normally try to straighten him out.
I couldn't agree any more with you: RUMPLE and BELLE are definitely what made 'Once upon a time' truly watchable and i wish they had had more scenes together, cos those two were really the main characters!
It needs to be a spin off
After season 4 they kept messing around with their characters Rumple and Belle and changed the dynamics.
It also didn't make sense for Belle to be given cursed memories of Laceys, it proved that they were meant to be. But the balance and grounding wasn't there.
They didn't even use Emilie skills as an actress, they just turned her into a pathetic weak naive girl.
It should have also been taken into consideration that Belle had been an asylum so she needed to heal which was also ignored. BELLE'S father was such mean guy.
@Madison Rumpf idc that they’re dead. I’d like a spinoff of them just hanging out in the afterlife reading books and dancing and stuff. Would also be great to see rumple reunite with (young) bae in the afterlife. Maybe they can interact with other characters that have “moved on” and with the Greek Gods. Also maybe they would find a way to check in on Gideon and watch over him. Tbh I’d find that more entertaining than s5
I agree with most of this. The gold family’s (rumplestiltskin, belle, Gideon, bae, Henry) interactions and journey was far more intriguing to me than the charmings anyways. I would have loved to see the show focus on them and I honestly think people would be less prejudiced, biased, and judgmental if the story was told from gold’s point of view. I do think focusing on the gold would have been riskier though. Focusing on the pure heroes is a safer bet especially for a family show. I’d love to see a spinoff show following the story through rumple’s eyes though.
The only thing I disagree with you on is the Lacey business. Ofc I wanted belle back and knew she was better for rumple, I still liked that they added the Lacey arc in. It gave a new element to both belle and rumbelle, showcased emilie’s awesome acting skillls, and also taught us a lot about rumple and his development. I was happy when rumple brought belle back, but I’m not upset the writers played with Lacey (although regina did do an awful thing there)

Rumple was a broken man who spent years taking in others abuse suffering heartbreak and finally snapped like most good people do and turn to darkness but Belle was his lighthouse that led him back to the light
@@michaelcollins2030 originally the light was his love for bae. Belle found the light in him and brought it out so his love grew even more for belle, Henry, Gideon, and tilly. Bae was special because he showed rumple was once capable of great love, belle is special to rumple because she’s proof he still is

11:16 that's literally the whole problem of their relationship.Rumple not being able to be a good person cuz he's just too used to a life in the darkness.Belle being able to pass see all the things others couldn't just warm my heart.This line proved that she's not being naive and easy going.She just see too much in rumple for her to just pretend not to and let him go.Though I still hate the back and forth thing they did with his obsession with power and her accepting him again,this is one of my fav relationships.Toxic as it was,their whole story is beautiful and meaningful. So I,like many other ppl,will pretend the second half of s4,the whole s5 and s6(minus the last 4 episode) doesn't exist.(minus also when rumple was trying to wake her from the sleeping curse)
