My goodness! This is my very favorite operetta beautifully sung and staged. This is my first encounter with Peter Minich; he's so handsome and charismatic along with his sweet, mellow voice, I feel like a teenager again with a crush. Thank you for posting this and all the other videos from the Viennese operetta. It's a beautiful world unto itself. In the USA at least, performances of it don't stray much beyond Fledermaus and Merry Widow, but there's a wealth of beauty and poignancy to be explored in this musical genre.
Peter Minich was indeed very handsome and charming, and therefore one of the most popular operetta tenors of his time. He appeared in numerous operetta films and TV programs, but does not appear here!
