- Howard Murphet (1906-2004) was an Australian author and lecturer who is best known for his books on Indian spirituality and philosophy. Murphet was born in Tasmania, Australia, and served in the Royal Australian Air Force during World War II. After the war, he worked as a journalist and later as a public relations executive. In the 1960s, Murphet became a devotee of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba and began studying and writing about Him in detail. He traveled extensively throughout India and wrote several books on his experiences, including "Sai Baba: Man of Miracles" and "Sai Baba: Avatar." Murphet's books were popular in India and the West and helped to introduce many readers to the teachings of Swami.
In this candid and heartfelt interview, he shares about the 3 kinds of miracles he witnessed during a visit to the Horsley Hills with Swami in 1967.
I have all of Howard Murphet's books and re-read them for his knowledge and wisdom and devotion. He was an amazingly intelligent, articulate and inspiring human being. In this video he was old and near the end of his incarnation, and what a privilege to hear him speak here.

Sai Baba: Man of Miracles was the first book I read on Baba . I'm sure the same must be with most devotees as the book is so powerfully influential.
Indeed, that has been the first book for thousands if not more.

Thanks Howard. I was first introduced to Sai baba by a book a friend gave me in the late 1980s it was called the Holi man and the Psychiatrist . The Skeptical Psychiatrist became a devotee after meeting Sai Baba and seeing Miracles. Nothing is impossible to Baba and he is always around anywhere in the world.

The writer of the book Holi man and the Psychiatrist was Mr.Samuel Sandweis. He also came to verify and check if swamy is doing some magic or is it something else and after staying with swamy and moving with swamy for one and half years he got convinced of swamy's divinity and then wrote the book.

Is there a reason for our suffering and why are all these people hurting me so?
well. there are no "other" people. there is only me. i dont send others to you, i come as others to irritate you, to activate the vasanas in you, the bad seeds, so that they can be brought out and boiled so they don't grow into big trees of bad, undesirable qualities..
you are not seeing others, you are not meeting others, you are not being hurt by others, there is only me. i am the only one.
i come as the lover in one and the lover in the other to enjoy the love between the 2.
i come as the tiger mum and the tiger baby to enjoy that energy interaction from both sides.
i come as sinner and saint to teach and to learn from both sides
i come as God, and God follower. i am it all. there is no other or more
the game starts and ends with me. the interactions are only bet 2 energies for my pleasures
u cannot understand this. u are me, thinking that u are the role/body. u r not. u r none, but me. this is me. that is me. even the one coming to kill u is me gone mad. u are also gone mad in some way.

when will it all end ?
when the seeds of desire end. when they are brought out and boiled. when there no longer exists a feeling or excitement to want anything or be anything. when all flows are not good or bad, but natural.

contemplation, deep contemplation on them will draw them out and reveal their root and uselessness. when u feeel the irritation it is I, your inner being revealing 2 u these seeds of desires, then u can contemplate on them,and find out who are they, where do they come from, will they give real happiness, joy, bliss. are they real. are they needed
what stage am i at
low-medium stage.
how difficult is the path.
diff paths to chose. easiest path is action, but long. contemplate. go into deep meditation and contemplate on the state of your being, and see what is real. why am i feeling this way, where di this come from, is it a real feeling. then u see, no it is I come to save I. it is I come to show I what is blocking I from releasing itlsef. there is no other, only I come to help I out.
how long will it take
