I don't think all the mathematics in this fight matters as much as people say. I think it boils down to these 2 things. 1) Superman being able to take in as much power as he wants 2) Goku being an outright idiot for not exploiting a weakness.

It all depends on what's canon or non-canon, although at times it seems Death Battle strays away from their strict OG rules of not even allowing outside non-related source material to strip the characters of their main abilities. There's so many battles on the channel proving that is, but in hindsight if they were to use composite versions I'm pretty sure most fight suggestions even such as this one would be pretty close.

I can't cite issues to you as a reference but I have read suerman comics in the past. His level of strength is clearly not the same, same with his level of durability. He's speed is notoriously inconsistent and I'm pretty sure the origin of his powers has been retconned a couple of times. I even remember reading the source of his powers was unconscious telekinesis, or something like that, to explain why bullets don't damage his spanx. But hey, if you wanna believe every rendition of superman is exactly the same you go ahead

Goku vs Superman (2023) can’t top this. It feels like an event. The opening orchestral credits, the long and well paced fight animation, and how this episode genuinely felt like a finale.
It was a finale! It was the Season 1 finale for the OG Revision Death Battle. The creators said a long time ago that Death Battle was made for this debate specifically. I can't believe it's been 10 years. I also can't believe it's a trilogy now. Anyways, I'm watching all three when it comes out.
I suppose it is subjective. Hard to objectively state what "tops" what, after all. I, personally, liked the newest iteration of Goku vs. Superman the best by a large margin. The animation was gorgeous, the choreography was beautiful, and the personalities were spot-on. I also appreciated them starting with Goku in Super Saiyan and jumping to blue, given it was obvious that there would be no contest with earlier forms. It was extremely well put together. The original is a classic and always will be, but, in my humble opinion at least, the new one did indeed "top this".@@danahlrich7519

It all depends on what's canon or non-canon, although at times it seems Death Battle strays away from their strict OG rules of not even allowing outside non-related source material to strip the characters of their main abilities. There's so many battles on the channel proving that is, but in hindsight if they were to use composite versions I'm pretty sure most fight suggestions even such as this one would be pretty close.

Goku vs Superman (2023) can’t top this. It feels like an event. The opening orchestral credits, the long and well paced fight animation, and how this episode genuinely felt like a finale.
It was a finale! It was the Season 1 finale for the OG Revision Death Battle.
The creators said a long time ago that Death Battle was made for this debate specifically.
I can't believe it's been 10 years. I also can't believe it's a trilogy now.

I suppose it is subjective. Hard to objectively state what "tops" what, after all. I, personally, liked the newest iteration of Goku vs. Superman the best by a large margin. The animation was gorgeous, the choreography was beautiful, and the personalities were spot-on. I also appreciated them starting with Goku in Super Saiyan and jumping to blue, given it was obvious that there would be no contest with earlier forms. It was extremely well put together. The original is a classic and always will be, but, in my humble opinion at least, the new one did indeed "top this".@@danahlrich7519

1- Goku can't survive in the space and superman can.
2- A huge mistake is the fack that goku staying in ssj4 could transform into kaiokhen, but remember that in the mini saga of the other world, when goku was fighting with paiku han, he transformed into a super kaiokhen and akira toriyama told that goku would die if he perform a transformation like that because it significated an extremely weight in the body of goku (just in ssj2, imagine if he perform that in ssj4, of course he would die.
But i also think that goku would beat superman because superman is not inmortal.
