Brentford supporter here. Ben Mee is NOT nailed. He was slowing down last season and will probably only be third or fourth choice. Pinnock and Collins are both ahead of him, possibly even Ajer too. Pinnock is the one to go for.
Everton fan here. Mykolenko currently has a minor injury but I think he should be fine for the start of the season. Dyche doesn't seem to fancy Patterson so I'd definitely avoid him. I currently have all 4.5 defenders, Andersen, Konsa, Murillo, Mykolenko and Robinson. I'm pretty happy with the options for rotation I have.
If you had unlimited money, would you put Trent and Gvardiol in that defence? If you would put one of them in, who from your current defence would you take out?
Leif Davis guaranteed assists. Tore the championship a new one and will be one of Ipswich's key offensive outlets. Keep him on the bench until GW3 of course but better to get him now than have to use a transfer later. Bench defender isn't something you want to be doing transfers for if you can help it.
championship is very different to prem, he’s going to get limited clean sheets (very limited), Ipswich won’t be able to be very attacking, would be suprised if he gets over 6 assists
Never base your opinion on perfomances in the championship. It really doesn’t matter. You cant compare the two leagues at all, PL is like another universe compared to the championship. I’ve made that mistake before, just select players that have performed in the pl already and that you have seen play week in week out.
@@michthered6296 Well I have seen Leif play week in week out and he's unplayable on his day, some of the best delivery I've seen from a defender. He will get assists.
Great Video. Very helpful. I was thinking about rotation triple ups instead of pairs. If you have two 6m+ defenders you're happy to play every week, and have three 4.5 defenders to rotate, then the green fixtures could look even better with 3 teams to choose from instead of two. Something to think about don't you think? Thanks
I've gotta go with full-backs where possible. Mykolenko and Robinson seem like the best options, will probably own Andersen cos Palace FBs are 5.0. When the fixtures turn in their favour, Ait-Nouri and Kerkez are bargains at 4.5.
Thanks for another great video! Is there any AVL fan here that can shed some light on Matty Cash situation? He is the 5th position defender in the fpl threat index. Currently my defenders are Gvardiol, Cash, Tarkowski, Andersen and Faes
If Villa concede a couple of goals and lose Cash is always the fall guy. The manager loves Konsa, he'll play every game at either right back or centre back.
thoughts on the fpl changes, like the new point scoring system, and how it should impact our selections? new mystery chip etc? Would like to see this in a video or short although you might have already. thanks
@@joetucker971 that is true didnt think about that, Robinson or castange get attacking returns aswell tho, shouldn’t be too scared of the United fixture imo.
Not nailed as in he won't play every game. You're looking at 6 defenders into 4 spaces at City which is partly why none of them score many points and they are bad value at thier price
This video is great and all... But I'd hate myself if I didn't pick Davis. I just don't want to be that person that doesn't pick a 4.5m defender with 21 assists last season. I can't not pick him. Right now my draft is TAA, Gvardiol and three 4.5s. I also didn't know Forest had such a good defence last season and I'm surprised you kept saying there were four standouts, with Brighton sitting only just in fifth after sacking a very attacking manager, that seemed like a very odd place to draw the line to me.
@@georgeparris8515 I agree. There's no NEED to and I might not come the deadline. Some weeks two or three of my attackers might have bad fixtures, or have a slight knock etc. It's how my draft looks now and I think either option is OK. The 4.5s are so much better than the 4s though. In previous years I've not played it this way, but being able to bank up to five transfers makes a better bench far more appealing to me. I'd rather sit on injured players and play a 4.5 defender for two or three weeks, than transfer the injured player out, now that I can bank so many.
@@LetsTalkFPL not specifically you, chap. I would say however, mitchel / munoz, Shaw “if…”, udogie, maatsen. All of which I’d take over the 4.5s, probably, but it’s a case of not fitting most team’s structures.
Put 3 4.5m players in defence and then you have money for both and for the centre just select 2 5.5. Or 6.0m players so you can get both again these 4 players are must for now
Its not worth getting that excited over. Most 4.5 defenders will have a 100 point ceiling for the season and you'll be lucky to catch their cleans or goals as it'll never happen when you expect it to.

There's no way Kelly is starting the first few games, after that we'll see. Howe stuck with Burn throughout last season despite having options, he really rates him. Schar is probably more nailed throughout the season and more likely to get attacking returns, but that's why he's more expensive. Some fairly credible rumours trippier may be sold also - in which case, Tino will be an absolute steal and will be nailed on as RB so watch that space.
Andy, you're my favourite 4.5M defender
If Tripper goes then Livramento will be an absolute bargain
For sure, great attacking potential, good fixtures and 1.5m cheaper than Trippier

Forest conceded from set pieces nearly every game.
Which is why they've bought a massive GK and similar CB
