I've just discovered a true love of succulents and needed guidance so I got on TH-cam and started nosing around and found Laura Eubanks. Fantastic teacher. The bonus was at the end when she said 'peace out'. That is what I say whenever I'm suppose to say goodbye. I'm hooked. Yes, she had me at 'peace out'. I'm looking forward to learning more from this channel. I live in southwest Missouri, zone 6, so I'll need to modify. Thank you and peace out.
I'm having trouble sleeping tonight and I find your garden artwork so relaxing. It's 1:30 am here in the outskirts of Paris, France. I live in a river valley and La Jolla and here: no 2 gardens could be more different. I put in a few hours of gardening this afternoon to deadhead my rose bushes n provide support for my peones. We're having wonderful weather after a very rainy Spring. There's an undescribable fragance in the air. Isn't it wonderful that Nature provides beauty in such different places? Thanks for sharing your talent n bonjour to your team mates.
I’m absolutely obsessed with your videos, and your work! You’ve given me so many great ideas. I do worry because I live in AZ so it’s a lot hotter, and dryer here. I’m on the hunt for succulents that can tolerate where I live.
Your work is definitely art. Everything you do is beautiful. I wish I could watch you everyday so I could learn to have the joy of working with plants that beautify the earth and bring joy to others.
This video gives me lots of good ideas for squiggling the lines of different colored rocks. I’ll be applying that tomorrow around some succulents I’m buying today.
Laura you are so creative. I've been working on my yard . I've been learning a lot from you. I have along way to go. It's very relaxing and it's very good therapy for me. I would like to volunteer my time to help. I live by Knott's Berry Farm. So if you are in my neighborhood I would like to join you.
thank you Laura and family for giving us all a wonderful video on what we all can do to make this time better! You are a great inspiration to thousands around the world and here at home in So Cal! I am working on restoring my office after having to vacate everything for new carpet installation. Haven't touch anything since my official retirement in 2017 and it is a mess going though all the files, drawings, etc from my last 25 plus years of work. Your video gave me a rest and inspiration to go outside and work on my new succulent beds/mounds that you have helped to create in all ours years together! I wish you the best in health and workman comps to help recover soon from this critical time! Hugs and kisses to you all!!
I know just how you feel Laura before I found succulents my passion was crochet/knitting yarn was/still my medium and what I made was my art and my therapy. And now I found succulents... so now i horde yarn and plants lol. Very soon I will attempt my first "arrangement" all my pants are in there own pots now. I'll be going by your code! Love your video's please keep being you! Love your art.
I hope you can see this. You should do more step by step tapestries. Those would be money makers with your followers now!! These are the types of ones we share with friends!
I just found your videos and I’m inspired by your work.! I thought I was crazy with my succulent obsession but you got me beat.😄 I love how you use your artistic eye to arrange and design your babies. I’m now going to follow you to keep getting more tips. Thank you!
Fabulous and really inspirational - I live in Central Victoria, Australia - similar climate to inland CA - I love your design ideas and try them out in my hot, dry garden. Thank you!!
You crack me up! I'm not ready for my rocks to be added but I absolutely loved when you said doing the little rock work was good for OCD. I've been painting the fence in front before finishing the job and hubs says it is well done and I don't have to paint in between every crevice of wood because it can't be seen. But it can if you look closely so I spent 4 extra hours doing every piece of wood while he watched tv. Guess I am OCD.
I am so lucky to live in South Africa, West coast, I can grow all the lovely succulents and aloes. I have to admit that Laura got me hooked on succulents, I always thought they became to ugly when getting leggy, but the way she handling them are amazing. I would like to post a picture of my beautiful west coast garden
wow, just found your channel and I am loving it! I like in the UK so it is so shocking to see amazing thriving succulents outside! Also all the absolutely amazing variety of colors! thanks for the great videos!
Beautiful yard and view! I gasped when I saw their view of the ocean. I need to start playing her lottery so i can win and buy that house!! I live in Houston. I wonder if I could do something like this in a more shaded area. I just survived my first summer with succulents and have been researching what to do with them now that they are looking leggy. Thanks for all of your teaching and inspiration!
I want to try this. I love the black rocks and your signature brush stroke. Living in N. Utah, the "Not Microclimate" for succulents. lol. But we have many hardy troupers. Beautiful work, thanks
Your so lucky to have that climate. I live in Michigan and I have a xeric bed I work with. The spring rains make it difficult to grow many species. Plus it gets cold. However with slight berms and trial and error I have had some success. I work in sedums, sempervivium, and a few perenials for color. Tried cactus but it's just too wet for the small berms I can make in small area.
Amazing and awesome job! You guys are lucky to live in such a good weather where succulents live in healthily. Very expensive in growing succulents in Korea.. so, quite jealous!🤣😊 TFS from Korea ❤️
amazing desgn. Thank you for sharing...I'm erlida francisco from Philippines I really love watching your videos itx a lot of learnings for me .God bless !!!
Beautiful, living near portland Oregon trying to see if they will grow here year round outside or put them in containers and take in through the winter. thank you for the great videos
Wow , you inspire me . Am from Poway and would love to redo my raised beds with succulents ... right now I have lots of potted ones . just got started about a couple months ago ... it has become a retirement addiction and obsession. Where is the best place to get the larger specimens here in SD county . Thx Laura .
When I see your channel, I just couldn't get my eyes off on what you share. I just love succulents because of what you share in your channel! May I know what potting mix that you use in your landscape? I'm from Philippines, can you help me?
I love your work, it's inspiring. I am struggling with finding a succulent nursery near me in the west Phoenix area. Any recommendations are appreciated.
Absolutely gorgeous! I'm so happy I found your channel, I'm from San Diego too and I'm planning on learning more about succulents and am going to plant some in my front yard. Any recommendations on where to get good quality succulents on a budget, also the rocks/pebbles? I live in the college area. Thanks in advance!
Im not in your country but got mine via getting cuttings from ebay.. you only pay around $1 each per cutting. I brought 20 different ones at first to see how I'd go rooting them.. allowed the bottoms to dry for a couple of days and then planted them all into a big pot filled with succulent mix which I kept dampish (not wet).. I managed to root 15 of them within a month (a few of the cuttings I got more then one plant out of it), another 4 rooted after another month.. and within the 3 months I had the whole 20 different ones I'd brought rooted (I had issues with one of them who's bottom kept on rotting so I just cut that off and allowed to dry and then tried again. Im now going to buy on ebay the 100 different succulent cuttings :) so I then should be able to do some awesome garden tapastries and Im now taking cuttings from my original 20 cuttings :) and making great succulent displays in pots in the meantime.
This chick is amazing! She's definitely working with a hefty budget for these plants, and it's nice to see how the pros think through problems.
"And this is where you can find an outlet for your OCD." That's so me with my plants! Great how to video ladies!
